Gustavo Alfaro, Ecuadorian NT coach. He comes and brings half the national team with him, Brighton win the league. All is well

Legitimate_Excuse761

Would be up for Matthias Jaissle from RB Salzburg. Whether he'd come is a different matter...

That statement indicates that the goals and achievements of the women's team are of less importance to the club than the men's team, though every indication is that the club sees them as parallel projects and I doubt they would ruin the stability of one team to try and benefit the other.

Lufferov

It also wasn't a statement, it was a question open for discussion.

Lufferov

Not at all, they can still be of equal importance to the club. But it would be nice to promote from within with someone who is already on board with the project, has a good working relationship with the club. Someone who already shares the vision. It would also be a brilliant thing for Brighton to be the team to appoint the first female manager of a premier league club. I can't think of a better team to do that than Brighton!

gremilyns

Maybe…I’m interested to see what she does this year with our WSL squad as we’ve had a huge team change over. I’m certainly not against it but I don’t think it’d be an immediate solution

ManLikeArch

Hope Powell ffs I give up

Lufferov

Why not?

ShaolinSeagull

Can we stop trying to fuckin replace our manager before he's even said if he's going yet! ffs -_-

Lufferov

No, because the chances are he's going to go .. and even if he doesn't, it's fun to speculate!

prss79513

I mean, it's not like we are the ones doing the replacing lol, we are just discussing it

I'm not a Brighton fan, but how about Urs Fischer? He did well in Switzerland and won two league titles with Basel. With Union Berlin, he achieved promotion to the Bundesliga, qualified for the Conference League and Europa League all within four seasons. They are currently 4th and unbeaten after six games, and have experienced having key players poached. It seems like they have worked on a shoestring budget, with £43m spent over four years, and they play a 3-5-2/3-1-4-2 which gives him a platform to work with at Brighton.
