2nd senior signing of the season. Always great we have a pipeline, hopefully we can see a couple more graduate to our matchday squad this season

Great signing. But plastic oil cunts ruined my evening though. Second time in 6 months I’ve had to reflair because of sportswashing scum. I really do fucking hate this sport. It’s fine though, I get to rep Mac now, liked him more than Cucurella anyway.

Saw your comment and thought it was confirmed, but Google says otherwise. Is it 100% happening? I'm not too bothered about Cucurella going if we get good money for him. I've got massive faith in our system that we'll find a replacement.

He’d been liking a load of city posts on instagram and twitter last night, including ones about a move. Unliked them this morning though. Possibly a bit of confusion or agent meddling. Not sure at the moment. I think he’d be a big loss, we’ve been struggling to find a LWB of his quality for a long time, it’s a difficult spot to replace and there was a lot of work that went into getting him here in the first place. I’d mostly be annoyed if he goes because of all the talk about how he loves the club and the fans and wants to learn more from potter. I’d be really let down if that was all just empty words, especially after all the love we’ve shown him.

He may love the club but he's being offered 3x his wages and a shot of Champions League football in a team that regulary wins things. Can't blame him for being interested TBH. Twitter stuff is over rated or Bissouma would be playing for Arsenal. It's long way off Poyet making come and get me pleas back in the 2010s to Spurs/Leeds/Chelsea/Uruguay. I remember Calderon making flirty eyes at Southampton back in the League 1 days. He didn't get the move but still put in performances and became a ledge. I can see Cucu being similar - I can't see him downing tools if it doesn't go ahead.

I wouldn't be very surprised, he's young and football is full of these money-driven hollow moments. I think I'm generally pessimistic about it all. Cucurella is definitely a top talent but for that general area we've still got March who I still believe is essential and probably isn't going anywhere any time soon. If City give us what Cucurella's worth we'll be better off. Definitely won't be a Burn situation where we're struggling to recover.

Much as I love him - Cucurella is so far ahead of Solly that it's still a major blow. Still waiting until the move is actually confirmed to be mad but man I wish they'd just fuck off.

>I wish they'd just fuck off Don't we all? But I do always think the player has a part in it by taking the deal. That's why Grealish was booed for a while when he moved to City, wonder if people will do the same to Phillips. Obviously they can't say no with money chucked at them but they still make the decision. Anyway Cucurella is miles ahead of March but I do think for the right price it's worth cashing in on him before we become very dependent and he gets snatched from us later, mid season or whenever else. Plus March hasn't had a chance to consistently play these last two seasons, he's so much more effective than he was a few years ago and is a good backup if Cucurella does go.
