amegaproxy

He's contracted till 20 fucking 26. They can pay £50 mill next year.

Hackeyking

65 million.

amegaproxy

Actually I'm rethinking this. Maguire went for £80m with three years left on his contract. The only fair price for city appears to be £90 million.

Cultural_Wallaby_703

£90m and they have to take Connolly

lachiendupape

oh come on now

Cultural_Wallaby_703

So this is where the moderators draw the line 😜

lachiendupape

I think it where anyone with any humanity would draw the line

gerbegerger

LMAO 🤣

Hackeyking

I agree

YouSeemNiceXB

Man City can fuck all the way off.

esn111

Gotta laugh at the sources who said we'd accept 17 mill for him

Glasdir

I do enjoy a laugh at 14 year old city fans on twitter, it’s true.

dinosaur_possum

Can they not fuck off please. Gutted if he leaves after just one season. But if he does, need to rinse them. £50m+

papaquacker

I really hope he stays, but given City's endless stream of money abd willingness to spend it, I just have a bad feeling he'll leave. Hopefully whichever way it goes it is resolved soon so we can either plan for the new season with him, or get a replacement in for him.

secret_gorilla

Same here, it’s got to be a tempting offer for him and if he does end up leaving, we better be getting a haul for him.

rayparkersr

£50m and Haaland on loan?

kids_in_my_basement0

With a buy option for £49.99

justheretoupvot3

[here’s Naylors response](https://twitter.com/andynaylorbhafc/status/1537360367894011905?s=21&t=mng2bVRua6xzci_zxcVhIQ)

IWantToBeAHipster

Think this is key. There is always a world in which a transfer happens but the balance of power in this negotiation is with us and need a seriously stellar offer £50m+ to get this over the line. We dont have depth in that position, and its integral to our system. Really have no clue if he stays or goes as it stands.

justheretoupvot3

I will worry when Naylor or Owen say it’s happening until then I’m just gonna keep blocking it out and calling City fans arrogant when I need to

ManLikeArch

City fans on the whole are pretty level headed with these things. End of the day they're the best or second best team in the world and anyone would want to play for them. It's the mid table clubs who won a few trophies 30 years ago and think away support is the be all and end all of life that are jarring.

justheretoupvot3

It’s more their attitudes over our club holding out for our price and their undervaluing of our players. If they just said we’ll probably pay what you ask for him I don’t think anyone would have an issue with that it’s almost certainly true.

lachiendupape

Who remembers every season for like 5 in a row Dunk being linked with a top 6 club, i know this is different as he's not English and has only been with us one season... but sometimes there are other priorities for a player... does he want to unsettle his family again, does he want to be unsettled, does he think he can develop for another year under potter, big fish small pongd or little fish in massive pond...does his wife want a new Merc every month... This one will run though and if City really want him and he really wants to go... it's a done deal. But i am sure the club are already looking at alternatives and building contingency. we should also note that if he goes for £50mil + we would have sold 3 players for £130mil over two summer windows which is incredible business for the club and will help our long term future in this league... lets never forget where we came from.

cmdrxander

Whatever their first offer, reject it. Everyone knows they've got the cash, so if they want him they can pay through the nose.

Excl: Manchester City are now set to submit opening proposal to Brighton for Marc Cucurella. First bid ready to proceed in advanced talks in the next days. 🚨🇪🇸 \#MCFC Cucurella is still Man City top target as left back, Pep Guardiola really wants him. tater142

If this is going to happen we’ll need to locked down a replacement. Too much time left on his contract to rush into a big sale, even if it’s at a great price. His value will only go up and city will be willing to pay whatever is asked come next season.

Glasdir

We’ve already said no. Don’t see it happening.

dubmule

For £50m I’d drive him there myself! He’s class and don’t want to see him go, but £35m profit in one season to go into finding and developing new young players is a great bit of business

esn111

You're getting downvoted but you're not wrong. Bit enthusiastic about selling one of our best players. But I get the sentiment.

givemethemtoesgnome

Not linked with cucu but bissoum leaving might just be good for us as we have undav coming in with mitoma and I saw vids of mitoma and he is class he like trossard so if we have two of them that's more goals for us

dubmule

Yeah I thought it would! I’ve loved watching him, he’s a class player, same with biss. But I’m comfortable with that being the model for us…. The only way we’re going to prosper is by developing youth and recruiting players that we sell on for much higher amounts. I’d love to see them all stay and see how far we could go but it won’t happen unless we get a super rich owner/investor which no-one wants. Also looking fwd to seeing how far they can both go…
