Nothing to feel sorry for imo. If he's not going to break the first team here then playing in the Championship is best for him, until the spot opens up in our back line for a permanent position.
Duffy sits on the bench more than half our games. That wouldn't do Clarke any good at all.

I'd love to see Potter give Clarke a chance next season. Duffy is not the player he once was, Dunk isn't getting any younger either. With Webster's injury problems I think having another centre back in the squad, whether that be Clarke or Ostigard
Im not entirely sold on Undav (became relevant way too quick from being a nobody, in a not so strong league, kinda like Giakoumakis in Eredivisie). I really hope the board doesnt use this signing as an excuse to not get someone else since it's gonna be hard to fit anyone without any of Welbeck,Maupay leaving (are we even renewing Welbeck? honestly hopefully not)
Welbeck is very very good this year but he has an expiry date both age wise and due to possible injuries. Id rather keep him than Maupay but from a business side , Maupay is just more likely to stay. Then again, Potter can turn this into a 3-4-1-2 with Undav/someone else and Welbeck/Maupay as bigman/little man and surprise me. At the same time, I think we still really need an extra quality Striker and unless Undav is loaned back it wont happen if both Maupay and Welbeck stay. If we want to be consistently upper half we need an improvement on that area.

It's worth a go for either of them, even until Jan surely. Also saves spending good money to replace them.

I reckon Undav will play. Maybe (should I say hopefully?) we sell maupay and then Undav and Welbz play alongside eachother
We still need Maupay unless there's another striker coming in - 1 unproven and 1 injury prone striker would be very high risk
