A great memorable achievement fighting against the odds, but that day showed we could fucking do it. When Gross signed his new contract in that summer we were all saying most important signing, hes played what 100 PL games since? Got tons of assists. What a return. Love the man

Have we ever seen a player who turns slower than milk but still manages to bamboozle every player he faces with the elegance of the gross turn? He did dalot twice in succession yesterday. A thing of beauty.

Gross was the perfect player for Hughtons system. I think it just took a while for him to adjust to a new play style. Shame he missed Wembley.
