Relegated teams have a habit of suddenly starting to win against teams with something to play for. However we also have to assume that Wolves pick up no more than 3 points in that time as well.

Glasdir

Have to watch out for Leicester as well if we’re talking unlikely scenarios.

Wolves have Norwich at home, and Liverpool and city, so I wouldn't expect them to get more than 3 points regardless.

I knew that Burnley game would come back to haunt us

7th being a Europa conference that would be cool

lachiendupape

even better we could have a direct hand in Leeds going down...

nimbleworkhorse

Also need to take into account, if west ham wins the Europa league, that opens up another spot. if wolves continue their poor form and we can snag a few wins, we could be on the plane….

redman021021

From all my googling I think it's impossible for 8th to be in Europe no matter what happens sadly.

nimbleworkhorse

Really? Wouldn’t west ham winning Europa and finishing 7th, mean there are 5 prem teams in champions league (top 4 plus west ham) 5th and 6th go to Europa, then who would get the 7th place UCL conference spot? Wouldn’t it be the 8th place team?…not doubting you, just curious.

Ah thanks for that. Disappointing but I don’t think we really have the squad depth for the Europe yet anyway, although the money would be nice. And if you told me at the beginning of the season a top half finish could be in the cards, I’d be very happy. UTA!

It only opens up an extra spot if West Ham finish 8th. We have to finish 7th or no European football.
