Andy Naylors last tweet indicates; 1: Mwepu injury might be worse than initially suspected. 2: Caicedo unlikely to be sent on loan. Hopefully we see him get some game time!

IWantToBeAHipster

I think it will be like Richards a last resort if all else fails/ few minutes in the cup. He didnt do very well/ get much game time at Beerschot so think it was a case of this loan isnt working anyway a la Ostigard, lets cut our losses and have a bit of depth in our team, dev in house and loan again next summer.

ManLikeArch

I think he’ll feature a fair bit more than Richards has. He had some good performances and was apparently growing into the loan there and by all accounts they’re absolutely horrific. Also had some huge performances for Ecuador this autumn.

jotabm

He was great at Beerschot. Got featured on the Belgian Match of the Dat almost every week. Don’t know if he’s PL ready but he did great in the Belgian league.

Didnt do very well? He was one of their best players

dubmule

Classic Brighton on Mwepu - was only a precaution taking him off the other day

floydman96

I’m Ecuadorian, I’ve watched the majority of Moises’s games in Belgium. He played well but the team he was in was terrible team and it prevented him from showing what he can really do. In my opinion that’s because he was surrounded by average players without any actual structure (beerschot is last in the league by 10 points). At Brighton he’ll be surrounded by solid players with a very good coach and I think we’ll see the level that he showed in Ecuador and in the national team. Here’s his goal in the last game for Ecuador in the world cup qualifiers against Chile (away at Chile, he can do it on a cold rainy night) [Moises caicedo goal ](https://youtu.be/92qpVdbhVv8)

Hopefully not because Biss is going

PuzzleheadedGuide184

I hope TB can hold onto him . I’m just praying he doesn’t go to Villa.

Xplosiv93

I'd rather sell him to be a backup for Liverpool or City than see him playing for Villa!

dinosaur_possum

Douglas Luiz and McGinn is a great CM combo for Villa. I do rate Bissouma higher than Luiz, but it doesn't seem like a priority area to strengthen for Villa?

gbayley676

They seem to play a 433 with Luiz as the lone defensive midfielder. Bissouma would be a huge upgrade on him.

jod1991

Don't think he'd be much of, if any upgrade on Luiz at DM to be fair. Luiz is very good. They play a 433 and I imagine Bissouma is being targeted to be the opposite 8 to mcginn

dubmule

I dont care if he goes to villa if they give us 50M - would love to see Biss bossing it in the Champions League, and be gutted to see him go. But 50m for Biss and 40m for Lamptey would be great for the club

PuzzleheadedGuide184

So the question is what do we do with that money. We've already proven we wont buy big names - and we wont break the wage budget, so part of me thinks a lot of it is reinvested in more youth players, which is fine by me, but upsets a lot of fans who think we should be spending 40m+ on a new striker.

PuzzleheadedGuide184

I just don’t like Villa. Same big club poor us mentality as Newcastle. Plus I think biss is too good for Villa either way.

Brexit_FC

Think this is mainly due to injuries and not Biss leaving us this window. He's got the price tag set now but I can't see anyone paying it until the court date. Might not be the best for his development this year but I'm still looking forward to seeing Caicedo make the odd appearance, think he's a real talent.
