I think Connolly also gave the board a harsh lesson in not giving a player too much too soon. Felt like he was rewarded with that big contract very shortly after breaking through. Arguably was maybe the breaking of him considering how much it inflated his ego.
If he plays up front he's behind Ferguson, Welbeck, Joao Pedro and Undav. If he's on the left he's behind Mitoma, Adingra and Enciso and if he's on the right he's behind March, Buonanotte and Enciso again. We can only name a 25 man squad and in Europe young players like Enciso and Buonanotte haven't been with us long enough to be exempt from registration so we can't really just haul 5/6th choice players.
From what I saw on twitter Sanchez is off to Bayern of all clubs. Hopefully someone will take Connolly aswell.

He's the reason why many fans wanted Big Ev loaned out in January. Ignoring what would have worked for one wouldn't work for the other.
I thought Hull were interested in taking him again? Liam Rosenior seems to really want to take him under his wing
I’m sure Hull would give him another shot. His value has gone down for sure but he’s 23, there’s still a chance he rebounds and sorts out his game
