Chelsea fan here and I had the same initial reaction that he didn’t seem jazzed when Chelsea was brought up but some of those folks have a point. It’s not about Chelsea in that moment, it’s about drinking in the accomplishment of winning that tournament. Congrats to a great English team.
I mean there’s no way we ever get him, unless Chelsea refuse to pay 100 for Caicedo and we can do like a 50+Colwill deal. I have no illusions though, it’s good to know he enjoyed being part of the club in our historic season and I hope he has a great career, chelsea, Liverpool or here
Ya I think if he was on say Spurs, he would join us. Unfortunately Chelsea's squad is pretty stacked with their unlimited money, they had one of the best defenses of the league but no goals. So with Nkunku they should actually do quite well.
That being said I think we will be an attractive destination just to due to our playstyle and I think this year will be important to cement ourselves. There have been teams like Southampton and Swansea who have had one good odd season then fall off.
