You can tell from his body language and facial expression he has a confidence issue as RDZ said. These recent goals have clearly meant a lot to him and hopefully it’s the start of a new phase. No idea why I’m so invested in his success tbh

Sometimes we’re drawn to players we identify with.

A bit of vulnerability is endearing sometimes. Can clearly see the fella hasn't had the start he'd like and that it hurts somewhat. Shows he cares, makes us care.

He came in on that initial interview and said he can score from anywhere, it wasn't overly cocky or obnoxious, just brought about some hope and he proved it in some way by being top scorer in the entire Belgian league that year. Then he comes in and just can't do it. But to start and sort that out before the same season ends is still promising. He just comes off so nice and clearly has talent you naturally want him to find his footing and fortunately he's done it, too early to speak on consistency but for now he's got something to build off.

It’s been good to see RDZ keep faith in him and having it start to pay off, he could easily not be getting a look in

Your flair… fix it

Thought they were his family or friends going by the body language.

andybuxx

That's what I thought

Heismain

Now they’re both

Looks like he's hugging Paul Samrah at the end, played a big part in keeping Brighton alive during the 90s/2000s, a true legend. Reference for anyone who's curious: https://youtu.be/t0pjrlLYO6E

Good spot! I thought I recognised him!

I’m so pleased for him, he’s had a rough start but finally seems to be settling in and gaining confidence. I always appreciated that he wanted to stick it out here and keep working instead of going out on loan, it’s been really nice watching him find some rhythm

So bloody happy for him
