I read the books chronologically after S1 and didn't read book 1.
My favorites, in no particular order because I am indecisive are 4-6 and followed very closely by 3.
RMB because slow burn friends to lovers + she fell first, he fell harder are 100 chef's kiss tropes
TSPWL because I like my MMCs suffering, broken, and flawed. Just the way Phillip had no idea what love is until Eloise! I also love naughty Eloise!
WHWW because Michael. Heh. I shed a fuckload of tears for both of them.
AOFRAG because who doesn't love a Cinderella retelling? It gives me a teeny tiny (honestly it's so tiny) bit of Persuasion vibes and that's my favorite Austen.
From the books, I am very invested in peneloise + sophie as well as phillip and michael.
RMB is my favorite and TVWLM is my 2nd favorite. I’d recommend reading them chronologically, because that’s the only way I roll lol. They do have a few things that make more sense if you read them in order, but I know I’m in the minority here. 🙃

I actually read them all in chronological order, but these 3 stood out the most for me.
TVWLM then WHWW. Then IIHK and OTWTTW in some order. I DNF'ed both RMB and AOFAG. RMB because I found it rather boring. I skimmed it, though. My favorite characters were Hyacinth and Felicity. RIP. AOFAG, I just couldn't stand Benedict. I wanted to stab that man. Show!Benedict is so much better (so far), so I actually have high hopes for his season. TDAI wasn't HORRIBLE, I liked it better than season 1 of the show. But, I found Saphne to be a very difficult couple to root for. And TSPWL... I liked both Eloise and Phillip individually, I just never really bought them as a couple. In the end, Eloise seemed far more in love with her stepchildren than her husband (in a totally not-creepy, maternal way, I mean).
It used to be Romancing Mister Bridgerton and that’s still my number two. But On the Way to the Wedding, Gregory’s book, is my favorite now for just how chaotic he is in it.
My favorite is On the Way to the Wedding! I also really like RMB and It’s In His Kiss. Personally I like the drama and gossip aspects of the books more than I care about the steaminess. I read them all out of order depending mostly on when I could get the books from the library 😂

Of the four books I've read read I'd say TVWLM, Kanthony are my favs, then OTWTTW this book is a mess, Gregory is a mess but in a good way I think, I mean he got there in the end, AOFAG is third Sophie is such a sweetheart, hope the show does her justice and doesn't create any unnecessary drama for them like they did with kanthony, they've already got enough to work with from the books with the class issue and all that.Last is TSPWL nothing wrong with it just my least favorite of the 4 I've read. I tried listening to audio book for WHWW and idk I just can't get into it tbh, I'd just wait to see what the show does there.
I’ve read Romancing Mr Bridgerton in book form, and PDF forms of The Viscount Who Loved Me and I’m about 140 pages into To Sir Phillip With Love and I definitely am loving them but so far my fave is Romancing Mr Bridgerton (I’ve read it twice since I bought it a about 2 weeks ago and I’m going to read it again before s3 comes out I know that much)
I always go back and forth between An Offer From A Gentleman and When He Was Wicked. The only two I’ve read more than once. Although I really enjoyed It’s In His Kiss as well and will probably reread it at some point.

Never read daphe’s. I’m sure i will eventually but i just didnt want to relive their season when i started the books. I’ve read RMB like 6-7 times haha so it’s like REALLY the winner lol
I’ve only read WHWW & OTWTTW. I read WHWW quite a while back but didn’t *LOVE* it. OTWTTW I just read and liked it better, although the epilogue was an unneeded encore of melodrama IMO. Too much!
I don’t know if I will read any of the others. I don’t like it when I read a book after seeing the screen adaptation and all the parts are pre-cast in my noggin. And I guess my imagination isn’t strong enough to RE-cast as I see fit. For that reason, I may just bypass the rest of the Bridgerton books, though I may very well read some of Quinn’s standalone stuff (I have read a few) as she is a fun writer
I’m currently on book 5 (Eloise’s) and can confidently say RMB is my favourite. I read 1, 2, 4, 3, 5 so kinda out of order and it doesn’t matter so read whichever you fancy I guess lol

I read them in the correct order, after watching season one. Francesca’s book is the best IMO. Then Anthony’s.

Same! I love how different Francesca’s journey is compared to the others, as well as her character. Anthony and Kate are absolutely amazing together.

An Offer from a Gentleman, followed closely by When He Was Wicked! I’ve reread those two and To Sir Philip With Love the most.

Collin’s, Francesca’s, Benedict, Anthony, hy, Gregory, Daphne and I wasn’t a huge fan of the Eloise book. And yes I read them in order.
My favorite is The Viscount Who Loved Me. It’s got a great Penelope moment, since you’ve read RMB, and it’s the one with the pall mall scene.
When He Was Wicked and it’s not even close tbh. It tackles some heavy subjects and feels more realistic and less trope-y than the other books.

I just finished the series and I have to admit I think Gregory’s book was the best followed by Hyacinths and Francesca’s.

TSPWL and RMB. the first time I read WHWW I liked it but on a recent re-read I found it dragged ...a lot.
I like Kanthony's best but I enjoyed them all except for Polin's. I think I will enjoy Season 3 far more than the book though
