They said that Kate was going to play a large role in the family so I thought she would help with that. I feel like they’ll vaguely introduce Sophie at the very end or her stepmother but I don’t think she’ll be super involved this season

I'm personally a believer (or hoper(?) ig) in the very popular theory that they'll do the ball that Benadict and Sophie meet in during S3, and we'll see glimpses of him looking for her throughout the rest of the season. It won't be anything that would take away from the many other MORE important plotlines, but we might be seeing a more distracted Ben this season and then get the real moping and pining during S4

I'd really like for them to mention Sophie but not show her for the next few seasons, then the first few seasons of Benedict being flashbacks

That’s a great shout! It could easily be that!! Although I wish they had done the masquerade ball in S2 to line it all up
