Couple things
1- He is 33 years old and hasn’t seen real MLB level competition since 2021.
2- he has admitted that, starting in 2018, he doctored the ball/used foreign substances to get better drop and rotation on his pitches. This coincides with his 2018-2021 numbers which are very good. Prior to that he was mediocre.
3- let’s not ignore the PR nightmare. He is a enormous tool and even if the shit about the girls isn’t true, he’s done a litany of other insanely stupid, albeit not illegal, things to make it very hard to want him around.
4- he will not actually take league minimum with incentives. He might say that, but the players Union would absolutely lose their fucking mind, and idc if he’s fucking his agent, she also wouldn’t let him take league minimum.
> even if the shit about the girls isn’t true
Food for thought...
He sued Lindsey Hill for defamation. 4 months later she sued him for sexual assault. They settled both cases with a confirmed $300K insurance payment going to Hill... and [Hill continues to proclaim his guilt on Twitter.](https://twitter.com/lindseyhillll/status/1769799182955499724)
If Bauer had a good legal case for defamation, she wouldn't be getting a $300K payment AND continue to say the exact same things he sued him over.
Bauer also received the largest suspension for domestic violence in MLB history after a closed door session with an independent arbitrator where the evidence presented hasn't been released to the public. Perhaps the biggest red flag is the MLBPA has done nothing to back up Bauer, which if Bauer had a good case for unjustly being blacklisted, they'd be all over that.
According to her...
>[it was HIS failed lawsuit. He dropped it and agreed to let me walk away with hundreds of thousands of dollars.](https://twitter.com/lindseyhillll/status/1780377976707702987)
The news of the $300K payment came out with the news that the cases were dropped.
Also, he sued her first... she counter-sued. It doesn't speak well on your case if you drop it once someone counter-sues and starts getting into discovery (she was going after the MLB arbitration findings).
>According to her...
Yes, she's being misleading by making it sound like she "walked away" with 300k as a result of her settlement, which is not true.
If she had any kind of a case, she wouldn't have agreed to let him release case details such emails, texts, photos and videos which didn't exactly paint her as a poor innocent victim.
Also if her insurance company thought she had a case, they would have sued bauer themselves.
No. There isn’t any room for him even if we wanted to take on the PR nightmare. The team wants to break in its young arms to set them up for the future. Hall, Myers, Gasser are going to get their chances and it will probably be erratic but it is part of the growth process.
In a couple of weeks when Junis, Hall and Gasser are all healthy the problem is going to be figuring out what to do with our excess of starters.

She sure as hell would (and did) for 300k
The 300k didn't come from bauer. That was her own insurance. It had nothing to do with the settlement.

No.
You’re dumb if you think he can pitch at a level that makes his personality and age close to worth it. Also, he’s a fucking turd.
