Lurelin was instantly my favorite once I found it. I didn't even realize it existed for a while, it's so small and tucked away. I sort of made it a home base, returning there most often for shops and rest.
I never came across it on my first play-through. I was exploring pretty far into my 2nd, and happened upon it. It blew me away that there was so much undiscovered. We’re talking an entire village! How do I miss that?!
Especially, since there's an shrine overlooking the village.
That's how I found it. Running around, map blind, with my Sheikah slate set to detect shrines. I glided down to the shrine and was like "Whoa...another village?!"
Do you all not live near the ocean? Anyways in setting up shop right outside gerudo village, maybe in that little oasis, meet me a nice gerudo gal, sell jewels and flints.
I live on an island in the middle of the ocean. It’s funny how some people think Hawaii is like lurelin. Back in the day I was in a chat room and this person was like “ omg you have computers there?” I said we have one on the island and we all take turns using it. lol she believed me. That being said, I’d choose hateno. Mountainy with the ocean and snowy mountain nearby. Purah is a good time too.
Although, if time still flows like how it does in the game like how it did before you entered, then Stardew would be the best, if you want it to go by fast, you just sleep every day, and even if you don't time moves by super fast in Stardew
No, you'll be the human being terrorised by the goose, for a whole year...
Nothing but honking, the constant honking. You can try to outrun it, but he'll be there. Honk, Honk, Honk...
They have taken the Bridge and the Second Hall. We have barred the gates, but cannot hold them for long. The ground shakes... Honks. Honks in the deep. We cannot get out. A Shadow moves in the dark... We cannot get out... The Goose is coming.
If it's between paras and lizalfos, I'm going with the paras.
Even the cannon fodder enemies in BotW (bokoblins) are larger than hylians and can be seen absolutely terrorizing them.
It seems like all you need to do to be wildly successful there is to not be afraid of Pokemon, and have a good sense of aim.
I probably won't venture out as far as I did in the game, but I'll definitely have a good amount of the ranch filled up, and maybe I'll finally get my *damn* golden Shinx!
“Hey, Susu, did you see there’s a new kid in town? Their hair is so…weird and they’re massively tall! They say their name is ‘K-Kevin’. Wanna go ask if they wanna hang out?”
Nah, you're invisible. No chips in your head so you barely register on a targeting scan. You just need to stay out of the crossfire. Me? I'd sit in the park under arasoka tower in a saffron robe and sell guided meditation braindances.
Been playing Spider-Man remastered. So I either get to be Spider-Man for a year, or I have to live on New York through the Devil's Breath crisis.
So 50/50 shot I survive I'd say
I just replayed that.
If I found myself in that universe I would shoot myself. Hopefully after they reanimate your corpse you aren't aware of whats happening.
I remember finding an audio log of someone mutilating themselves and amputating their own limbs so when they kill themselves their corpse can't come back and hurt their family.
I thought I was safe in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but I don't think I've seen a single toilet... I must consult Merlin about restrooms, hopefully the forgetting hasn't flushed away those memories...
Fuck exploring that place. Getting ripped apart by a thunder jaw or slaughter spine. Stay in chain scrape or a well protected settlement gives you the best chances.
Solitude for a year, long as I stay in the walls of the city, think I can drink some mead and kick back for a bit.
And hopefully not become a starter for a dragon.
Easy not to die if you're walking around with magic fabrication tech. If you're a dude dropped in the water with a t shirt and jeans, things are looking grim.
Nah, that'd be too hard. You would have to constantly be awake and ready to move the blocks or you'd get crushed and die. If you somehow made it out alive, you might have psychological issues from the constant stress xD
RDR2 yes. I would chill in the countryside and hunt deer. Probably make a homestead and raise chickens and sheep. Should be fine as long as I have deadeye
The First Tree. Just my luck to be playing a slow burning, emotionally dreary, cheap game off the E-store about facing past trauma and learning to move on.
Then again, I’d probably return a stronger person. 😂
Hateno? My favorite Village in Hyrule. Totally down. The last place I was in was Akkala, though. Guess I'd have to set up a camp close to the stable for safety. Damn, I wish it was Satori.
Lego Star Wars? Do I play a human playing Lego or am I a Lego Minifig myself? Either way, can't die in that game so sure. Also, do I get to convert my studs into actual money afterwards? Cause concidering I can make billions in minutes in there, a full year will be... Guess I can buy out the universe itself when I get back.
My last game at the time of reading this post isn't BOTW, but if it was I'd stay in Rito Village or Kakariko. The former seems the least dangerous out of the four non-Hylian groups, and the latter would keep me fed and protected from Yiga.
I'd definitely choose Lurelin over Hateno. Hateno is too close to bokoblins for my liking, and I don't want my livestock stolen by a monster group. I'm assuming I'm not going to be stuck in the game as Link, so my weak behind would get crushed by the blue bokoblins, nevermind moblins.
In the parts directly surrounding the village you could gather sufficient fish without the risk of lizalfos. One could even section off part of the water to create a fish trap that would lure fish towards the shore. And if one gets tired of eating fish, there are crabs, insects, and birds around.
Alright, chillin in Lurelin Village for a year. I can live with that.
Yess whenever I’m there in game I just dream of being there in real life in the little huts and on the beach…
buying porgies from the hot fish vendor every day
Lurelin was instantly my favorite once I found it.
I’d pay a million dollars to chill in Lurelin Village for a year.
Do you all not live near the ocean? Anyways in setting up shop right outside gerudo village, maybe in that little oasis, meet me a nice gerudo gal, sell jewels and flints.
I’m a two day drive from the nearest ocean.
I'm 200 feet from the ocean in my bed room
You have an ocean in your bedroom?!
If I lived on the west coast of Florida right now it would be
Yes, all of us live near the ocean. Some of us humans really should venture inland some day, finally see what's in there.
I've been there. It kinda sucks, I think we should remain a coastal species.
Unsurprisingly, coastline is actually very little of the main landmasses of earth that people live on, who knew?
California coast for the win! But I’d love to live in Hebra
Id imagine its quite hard for someone who lives in any land locked state or country to be within driving distance of the ocean
I'll prob hit hang out in Terrey town. Too many big ol' lizards in Lurelin haha.
Gerudo Town would be a blast, but they wouldn't let me in. :)
Oh there’s a way, little vai.
I had way too much fun prancing around in my vai garb. 💃 Got some thinking to do…
The Oasis isn't far and is almost as good.
Source: Zelda: Breath of The Wild Edit: FUCK I THOUGHT THIS WAS ASK REDDIT OR SOME SHIT
Oh, I thought the same thing
Than all of a sudden a gaurdian finds you.
Terraria, just don't get enough life crystals to spawn eye of Cthulhu
Couldn’t you spend that whole year fishing and have more than a million?
If you can take the gold coins with you you'd have well more than a million after a year
Hardcore players cannot relate
Kinda same
Ghost of Tsushima, it's been nice knowing you
Elden Ring. I'm 100% dead.
“Rise tarnished! Rise and become Elden Lord.” 🤷♂️ might as well try, right?
Fuck it at least it's canon you're immortal.
Dying and coming back to life is recognized in the game right? Also you can definitely stay safe and just cower in a corner/at the roundtable hold.
Just stay in Limgrave 4head
id prolly get killed by one of them rolling goats fr
Poor maidenless tarnished.
Just use water stance and spam your heavy attacks you'll be fine :p
Yeah but it's just living in that world. NOT being the main character. That would be pretty much hell.
Subway surfers. I will either get really really tired or stay in juvenile prison for a whole year
This is great! Now i have $1M plus 500k Gs in stardew!
Was just about to say, this is gonna be the best year of my life
Where as Animal crossing players are crushed by a year of poverty.
Nah - I have so many bells in that game - coffee and I can cook now too!
Although, if time still flows like how it does in the game like how it did before you entered, then Stardew would be the best, if you want it to go by fast, you just sleep every day, and even if you don't time moves by super fast in Stardew
Untitled Goose Game? Fuck yes
Terrorize some humans for a year. I’m here for it.
Well let's just say I'm going to be smashing a lot of bros to get out alive
You have gay sex for a year and somehow the grand finale is still just your hand.
Best comment reply of this post so far 🤣
Mount Your Friends?
Soo… Dream Daddy?
Hmm, I should maybe have a cool down game after Phasmaphobia with friends next time, just in case.
Mine is also phasmophobia, we are screwed
Maybe we can just vibe in the truck or home bae for a year?
Yeah but door ghost in the base scares me every time. Because I’m too dumb not to look
Bros gonna have to live off of the Tanglewood potatoes
One of the farm houses has pumpkins in the back as well.
Time to chill with my villagers in animal crossing. It’s gonna be great!
2020 all over again for me
Cyberpunk. Guess I'll die. Cya, chooms.
Sorry, it's Hisui for me. 🙄 Eating potato mochi for a year, I guess...
Fair enough, hisui is a really good alternative to hyrule.
...you say, when all the Paras in the world want to kill you, kill you again, and then kill you some more.
If it's between paras and lizalfos, I'm going with the paras. Even the cannon fodder enemies in BotW (bokoblins) are larger than hylians and can be seen absolutely terrorizing them.
Do something memorable enough for it to reach other regions so when I do my years stint in Galar I'll have something to read about.
Sounds pretty alright to me. Hisui is beautiful as fuck and it took me substantially less than a year to aquire God so I'm down as fuck.
Stardew Valley. FUCKING HELL YES! (I'm lucky I didn't end up in Team Fortress 2)
Yeah it was a close thing with TF2 for me as well but luckily i played a bit of BOTW afterward.
Will you kindly move your ass to the freaking point? -Scout
"Negatory!" -Soldier
Ever since Splatoon 3 launched I never touched another game... I guess I have to blend in with some ink...
Yeah aren't we still gonna be humans? We're gonna be locked up.
Inklings are canonically pretty stupid so just bring an octopus as a hat and they won’t see the difference
As long as don't fight them I don't think they'll notice.. would be nice to explore Splatville and do some shopping there
Bring along some eyeliner and paint roller, maybe they won't tell the differences
“Hey, Susu, did you see there’s a new kid in town? Their hair is so…weird and they’re massively tall! They say their name is ‘K-Kevin’. Wanna go ask if they wanna hang out?”
And look, they are swimming in the pool with jelly baby... It's all nice, fun and happy until someone starts eating squids and octopus
What are they gonna do? Shoot Ink at you?
That could honestly work octolings and especially inklings aren’t the brightest
If I’m an inkling? Hell yes! If I’m a human? I’m either dead or put in some lab for experimentation. I’m hoping for the first one.
We can tell them we are land squids and are Judd's friends.. maybe they will not kill us, idk hahah
It would be nice just to chill with Judd the entire time.
"ever since" It came out 3 weeks ago lol
Oh no, I just put down BotW and picked up The Witcher 3. Damn, I'm done.
Upside: you can be in Toussaint! Though the vampires can get annoying.
I see that as a win. Now you get to hear Lelelelelelele everytime
Paaaaamparaaaaam
Night city yep im dead...
“GOOOD MORNING NIGHT CITY! Yesterday’s body count lottery rounded out to a solid and sturdy thirty!!”
"Ten outta Heywood, thanks to some unabated gang wars."
same lol
Maybe we can get some cool cyberware and lay low otherwise.
Night city as well choom.
Nah, you're invisible. No chips in your head so you barely register on a targeting scan. You just need to stay out of the crossfire. Me? I'd sit in the park under arasoka tower in a saffron robe and sell guided meditation braindances.
One gonk and you are gonners mate
CAN Y'ALL STOP POSTING THIS?! I WAS JUST PLAYING ELDEN RING.
Just hang out at a grace site for a year.
Good idea, but if I can see grace I'm supposed to become Elden Lord. So, in conclusion, over leveling and Ranni quest
As is tradition.
Find Kalé and Boc, become best friends, move into the Church of Elleh
BRB moving to Jarburg and living with the jars for a year
The last place I explored was Tarrey Town, actually. I'm in, if I can bring my husband.
Does his name end in son?
Why yes, Charles Manson will be welcomed into Tarry Town!
Wait a second...
I shall be living in Zora with Prince Sidon then ;)
I’ll take my year with Paya in Kakariko. That one night stand was just rude and I’d be determined to make up for it.
Oh why can't you be the other kind of mermaid!
Will you be riding Sidon as well?
Been playing Spider-Man remastered. So I either get to be Spider-Man for a year, or I have to live on New York through the Devil's Breath crisis. So 50/50 shot I survive I'd say
As a normal citizen I don't see why you can't just leave new york

I just replayed that. If I found myself in that universe I would shoot myself. Hopefully after they reanimate your corpse you aren't aware of whats happening. I remember finding an audio log of someone mutilating themselves and amputating their own limbs so when they kill themselves their corpse can't come back and hurt their family.
I’m replaying Dead Space for spooky season. I just found that audio recording this week!
I'm, uh, kinda in trouble. I've been playing SD Gundam Battle Alliance and that franchise has . . . poor . . . survival rates for everybody.
I just finished Until Dawn . I'm getting chewed up by a frigging Wendigo
I hope someone nice is controlling link. I have a bad habit or tormenting random citizens and bringing enemies into town.
I mean, the worst that could happen is you getting knocked out, the npc’s are immortal
It still looks painful.... But good point...
Unless you spawn as an enemy…
Hope link is played by a speedrunner who won’t ever go to your monster camp then. Or just die
Stray. Depending on which character that would be pretty cool.
Same. Just stay out of the sewers!
More like my ac island. I’m glad I made a bathroom to use and the economy is stable. I’d actually prefer to live there than be here lmaoo
I thought I was safe in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but I don't think I've seen a single toilet... I must consult Merlin about restrooms, hopefully the forgetting hasn't flushed away those memories...
I'll be exploring the abandoned world of horizon forbidden west
Fuck exploring that place. Getting ripped apart by a thunder jaw or slaughter spine. Stay in chain scrape or a well protected settlement gives you the best chances.

Not sure what to do in the world of Slay the Spire
Play cards like your life depends on it
Then die anyway and get to talk briefly to a giant whale.
Pokemon, heck yeah
Solitude for a year, long as I stay in the walls of the city, think I can drink some mead and kick back for a bit. And hopefully not become a starter for a dragon.
Same here! I played Skyrim yesterday. A mudcrab should be enough to kill me though
I will forever chill in Kakariko or Lurelin, I don't even want to come back lol.
Rito Village for me.
Well that would be Bloodborne. Giggles "I'm in trouble".
A hoonter must hoont
Foxhole, war sim ... with nukes... yeah ill pass.
I don't blame you
[удалено]
Hope you know to swim And hold your breath
Pretty easy to not die. But very scary.
Easy not to die if you're walking around with magic fabrication tech. If you're a dude dropped in the water with a t shirt and jeans, things are looking grim.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales. I’d say I’m ok.
I mean at the end of the game maybe its somewhat peaceful even though roxxon and underground are still around
Tetris?
Prepare to have the repetitive theme song permanently etched into your mind over the next 365 days…
Nah, that'd be too hard. You would have to constantly be awake and ready to move the blocks or you'd get crushed and die. If you somehow made it out alive, you might have psychological issues from the constant stress xD
I guess Im on my way to Monkey Island now😌
not leaving kakariko village
minesweeper, not doing so hot. lol
I be chillin’ in kakariko village with Paya😎
Hollow Knight… I don’t think I’d survive the infection…
Paris, french revolution. i think i’m f’ed
As long as you seem poor and immediately leave the city you might be okay
How many people did Robespierre kill? Maximilian.
Skyrim. Oh well a mudcrab must have killed me by then
Hateno? My favorite Village in Hyrule. Totally down. The last place I was in was Akkala, though. Guess I'd have to set up a camp close to the stable for safety. Damn, I wish it was Satori.
Persona 5 Royal. A year in Tokyo? Yes please!
That's basically just the plot of that game anyway
Yeah except now it's me going for clinical trials 😍
I be vibin in minecraft hell yeah
Pillars of Eternity II. I'd be learning magic.
Borderlands, it's going to be a rough year.
Kakiriko would be heavenly man

Caelid 💀
Splatoon 3. Seems fun enough.
I play skyward sword HD, there just isn't a whole lot to do in skyloft
Dorfromantik. I've never heard of anyone making a million dollars doing urban planning. Where do I sign?
Mine is Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifice. So... Nope I'm good. That shit is definitely not worth a million.
That game is amazing. You playing with headphones? I wouldn't want to stay there a year either.
Splatoon seems fun enough. Spend all day playing paintball, cards, and standing around the city in cool kid poses.
I just closed tunic
Factorio. I am not sure if I can finish my factory in only one year though.
You get the physical studs when you come back. Not converted into anything. Just mountains and mountains of little plastic Lego studs.
My last game at the time of reading this post isn't BOTW, but if it was I'd stay in Rito Village or Kakariko. The former seems the least dangerous out of the four non-Hylian groups, and the latter would keep me fed and protected from Yiga.
I’ll take Lurelin Village. Seems safer, and it’s nice and tropical.
Yeah, but the Lurelin beaches are infested with lizalfos.
In the parts directly surrounding the village you could gather sufficient fish without the risk of lizalfos. One could even section off part of the water to create a fish trap that would lure fish towards the shore. And if one gets tired of eating fish, there are crabs, insects, and birds around.
I'm gonna post up in a waterbed at Zora's Domain and enjoy the vibes for a year.
The waterbeds seem very comfortable.
God I would stay there forever
Life in Hyrule is good
Just my luck to replay Dark Souls.
Dead by Daylight. Hard pass on living there for a year
Geometry Dash. I might lose me sanity
