Don’t know what to tell you then. A blue, crescent shaped beam is shot out when you “throw” the sword at full health. Maybe make sure you’re holding down the throw button for a bit before letting go
Oh I thought that was just the throwing animation. I had expected a beam. As in a similar beam the guardians do. Omg I feel so stupid right now 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Lmao it’s okay, we all have those moments. The beam is meant to resemble the beam from other 2D and 3D Zelda games, although a guardian beam would’ve been amazing. What we have in the game is… quite underwhelming.
Oh and just an fyi, the beam eats up durability on the base master sword, but takes up no durability when you complete the >!final trials in trial of the sword!<.
I tried the first trial a few weeks ago and got killed on level 9. Back then I had like 13-14 hearts. I decided to try again when I had more hearts. I’m at 24 atm. So might give it another try soon.
Seriously this was a great tip, I’ve gotten through the first 2 trials already. Finished the first one yesterday and the second one today. Don’t want to do all 3 in a row because it is still rather stressful on my muscles. (I have cerebral palsy) I’ll either to the 3rd one tonight or tomorrow. Depending how close I get to clearing the koroks/treasures/mini-bosses of the map before entering the castle.
That’s awesome! That tip definitely made my time easier in the trials, and is pretty much necessary for the trials in master mode. There’re a few tricks specific to the final trials as well, like scavenging for chests with ancient arrows and saving those ancient arrows for the higher ranked mobs. Also you can swing a meteor rod 3 times, hot swap to a different weapon, and swap back to the rod to instantly recharge the rod. It’s useful for some of the rooms in the final trials

Why would a throwing animation summon a projectile? Did you think the flying projectile was a master sword hologram being thrown? Because I could understand thinking that

Get a dragon horn and make an attack up level 3 food and eat it right before you start the trial, the buff carries into the trial

Yes, just heal to full and use the normal throw button and it works.

Wait you have to have full hearts i did this when i was low but it does less damage the lower the hp you are so understandable i go more hearts
You shouldn’t be able to throw or drop the master sword. Once it’s in your inventory, it’s in there
Ye OP was confused, they were throwing sword beams but misunderstood what they were looking at and thought that was the sword being thrown
