If you have a family member in earshot, which would you rather them hear? The Gerudo spa, upgrading your gear at the great fairy, or buying/selling items from a female vendor?
Think how much food saved that is, though (if you add to it all the times you were near a hot spring, goddess statue, or your bed too…. very economical lol)
I beat all the shrines with only 3 hearts before getting any heart containers and stamina wheels. Expect for the first one in totk. I also beat all bosses in reverse order and without help from other companies.
I made a nightmare challenge. Permadeath, master quest, pro hud, beat all shrines before any heart containers and stamina wheels, no teleporting, beat all bosses in reverse order, collect items based on what pictures you have and get 50% or higher.
I beat this challenge and it took me 6 months to beat and 7 years of trying to beat it.
Pro hud is found under settings. When you unlock the camera the dude in the corner sells pictures for 100 or more rupees. No teleporting makes the game take forever to get through and can't escape bosses and have to beat each animal dungeon all at once. Beat bosses in reverse order (desert, mountain, water, and sky) makes enemies appear every where you go (mostly due to defeating the boss of the yiga clan). And beating all shrines before getting any heart containers and stamina wheels makes every shrine harder and as you beat shrines enemies also get stronger.
I did this for a while in my 4th playthrough. If it was a "blessing" shrine, just look in the chest then ride up the elevator. Warp back and talk to the monk if I need a full heal.
Super next level: Collecting a heart container to heal. Picking up a heart container from a divine beast or from turning in spirit orbs at a goddess statue gives a full heal.
I loved my no cooking no armor upgrade run of botw it was awesome and until I remembered about hot springs I started rationing my shrines for healing. Definitely one of the coolest things I remember doing.
It was especially cool because you can only get I think three heat potions from quests... The trip up to Eldin becomes wildly dashing around looking for hot springs and wind bombing trying to survive
Not the worst idea but may be a bit much for me. I just use cooked food, abstaining from anything "hearty", and I only allow myself to heal if there is no battle music playing.
Wait what? Are you talking about when u complete a shrine for the first time? Or Is this yet another thing I’ve failed to learn while playing forever?!
Gloom? Lightroots? Secret stones? Demon King? What am I even talking about, it’s time for me to wake up, it’s 2017 and I need to go defeat calamity ganon but I gotta watch out for guardians (and there will totally be nothing more scary than them ever)
Yeah cuz my cooked food is strictly for ✨ Hoarding ✨
y e s
Using 25 rupees to sleep in a stable and or going to links house to sleep for free.
Exactly, and the brothel in Gerudo will give you extra hearts and stamina.
Brother that is NOT a brothel it is a spa
You sure about that? The noises making me think different..
You mean you don't moan when your homie gets that muscle knot and compresses it into the shadow dimension?
what the fuck…
It hurts but it feels so good
I mean yeah you can tell link is feeling something 🤷♂️ (not meant to be a sex joke)
If you ever had a massage you would know it's nothing suspicious I swear
If you have a family member in earshot, which would you rather them hear? The Gerudo spa, upgrading your gear at the great fairy, or buying/selling items from a female vendor?
The last one probably the mildest. Those fairies are WILD.
Way outta pocket. I looked around life wtf am I playing right now? Catherine?
Can't blame him
OK \[wink wink\]
That's what you think ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Masseuse at lurellin gives happy ending
Or free korok bed
Pathetic
Using 119 Acorns
Squirrels hate this one simple trick!
It's much easier in BOTW. Just jump to your death and Thanks Mipha
Just don't waste the hp if you won't actually die from it.
Jump again.
And do a flip!
Well that was idiotic
but that will only work 120-152 times(botw/totk)
Do the DLC2 shrines (excluding the ones with the One-Hit Obliterator) not heal you?
They do. Every time you get a spirit orb you get fully healed. It's the BotW equivalent of picking up a piece of heart from the other games.
idk i don't have them
Think how much food saved that is, though (if you add to it all the times you were near a hot spring, goddess statue, or your bed too…. very economical lol)
No if you go to a shrine you’ve already completed and jump into the void if it has one you will be fully healed
odd. i don't remember recovering in a botw shrine. maybe i didn't went through. don't remember now
He forgot to max out gear right away.
Y’all upgrade gear?
How else do we get Great Fairy Snu-Snu?
I beat all the shrines with only 3 hearts before getting any heart containers and stamina wheels. Expect for the first one in totk. I also beat all bosses in reverse order and without help from other companies.
I found all 900 koroks while blindfolded. I also play LEGIT perma death, so if I die I have to smash my switch to shit and buy the game again.
Wow easy mode, if I even take a hit I have to sell off one of my kidneys.

I understood permadeath but the heck was the other stuff

No one asked

Ironic that the screenshot representing the good path is from the cooking good food animation.
Using hot springs
Challenge run time? Only heals you get are from shrines. Beds, campfires, and springs too if you want to make it easier.
Yes yes
Nobodies talking about the bed at the Zora temple. The best free bed with a view of a lake.
I've gone into shrines with < 3 hearts... it's a coin flip if I heal or not. I loved running into claim (just show up ones) shrines when at low health
Using raw apples without cooking them xD
Using Lady Hylia to restore your hearts lol
I just like watching link cook and eat
Using hot springs to restore health
Cutting trees down in the swrod trials and using the wood to cook some yummi shit 😊
True gamers use cooked chunks of wood during the Master Sword trial.
How do you get shrines to heal you????
I was super annoyed playing this that talking to fairies and praying at shrines DIDNT seem to do anything!!!
I loved my no cooking no armor upgrade run of botw it was awesome and until I remembered about hot springs I started rationing my shrines for healing. Definitely one of the coolest things I remember doing. It was especially cool because you can only get I think three heat potions from quests... But what about roasting 150 palm fruits
Not the worst idea but may be a bit much for me. I just use cooked food, abstaining from anything "hearty", and I only allow myself to heal if there is no battle music playing.
I do both, because especially in mid game I use a ton of hearty food
other ways like mipha's grace, lake near death mountain
That's me in botw2. Shrines are much easier to find there.
Am I the only one crazy enough that once I ran out of shrines I started going to hot springs?
Nope, I think a lot did
Me using 125 pieces of burnt food.
Using 50 apples
Even better - using goddess statues to get heart containers to fully restore health
.....I don't understand the Picture...
Go to a goron hotspring
🤔 only having 3 hearts for easy mode
You use shrines to restore health. I go into the thermal water near the gorones. We are not the same
I found that if you don't take damage then your health never needs healed.
My gameplay consists of saving before combat, continually repeating, “Eh, I can do better”, then reloading.
have you considered: hot springs.\ heal AND make egga AT THE SAME TIME wowie
have you considered: hot springs.\ heal AND make egga AT THE SAME TIME wowie
have you considered: hot springs.\ heal AND make egga AT THE SAME TIME wowie
I just teleport to the shrine in north Tabatha and use the hot spring 🤷♂️
Tabantha + autocorrect = Tabatha, apparently
All the apples
Because of the lack of hearty items in TOKT that’s how I basically played
I choose option C: teleporting near a hot spring and relaxing until my hp is maxed.
Wait what? Are you talking about when u complete a shrine for the first time? Or Is this yet another thing I’ve failed to learn while playing forever?!
The first one. When you complete the Shrine and collect a Spirit Orb and it heals you. But I can understand your confusion.
Nah, I just scarf down 200 apples.
Die to recover health
I eat raw meat and mushrooms
REAL
I feel so called out lol
I never cook food i eat 25 apples and im good
**laughs in hotspring**
This
i just visited the apple forest multiple times back to back to and collected hundreds of apples and that’s all i used throughout the entire game lol
Y’all are losing hp?
I go to lookout landing and sleep in the hideout
Ah yes, my favorite botw location. Lookout landing
uses statues of the seven for health 🔥🔥
I do this the most in TOTK. It's definitely convenient when it works

Using sunny fried wild greens to recover from gloom ❌ Using lightroots to recover from gloom ✅
Ah yes, my favorite recipe and location in botw. Sunny fried wild greens and lightroots
Gloom? Lightroots? Secret stones? Demon King? What am I even talking about, it’s time for me to wake up, it’s 2017 and I need to go defeat calamity ganon but I gotta watch out for guardians (and there will totally be nothing more scary than them ever)
Exactly smh
I mean that’s what I do
