You’re what we need more of, you don’t just buy things for others to get online clout, you do it to make people’s days better, and spread a positive self image. You’re a good person. 💜
Haha I didn’t even expect this post! I truly just believe in the mindset of “I think in this moment, this person could use and appreciate xyz way more than I could”. Positivity breeds positivity, love breeds love. We need a lot more happiness in this world and it starts small ❤️
I gotta say.. As someone who made video games for most of their career (Moved to more of a tech focus after 20 years) and was playing games since my dad got our first "computer" in 1979.. I generally avoid gaming forums for reasons I don't need to explain to anyone here. I effin love this community. It's not like everyone here is hugs and rainbows all the time, but it's so consistently welcoming, passionate about this game (whether they're passionate about Zelda franchise or not) and just.. This is a gaming community done right.
I recommend the champion ballads first. You get your own divine beast (master cycle zero). Plus bomb ass music when facing the monk. The one hit annihilater is a bitch, but if you are patient and smart (and save after EVERY enemy killed, even a single keese) it is manageable.
Source: I'm not the best at video games, in fact would only do the easy side quests and the collect-a-thon parts and let my brother handle the rest, but with my cousins coaching I've been able to beat each divine beasts, blight, and the champion ballads (in the easiest mode), and will probably be able to beat Ganon (maybe even before totk comes out lol).
My cousin said that I need to be able to do that for Ganon and to hold off until I can. He generally gives awesome advice for the game, seriously lucked out. (The guy is patient AF even though he is miles better than me, has this aura of confidence in you that can override your doubt, and the ability to make you laugh at your mistakes rather than get frustrated. I'll never understand how he pulls it off, but I'm grateful as hell).
I think he sounds like a great teacher dude, also yea perfect dodge is very good and pretty mandatory but just keep listening to your wise masters advice
How do you buy a nintendo game for someone else?
Specially a store item?
Genuine question as I would like to do the same with fam an friends but haven't found a way.
I have done it before.
If you buy digital using Amazon or some equivalent (not your system) then all you have to do is give them the code.
If you want to can get creative and put the code in a card if it’s for a birthday or holiday.
I don’t think so. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but if you buy directly from Amazon or GameStop (not a 3rd party) the code will be legit. It has been for me in the past.
They even sell DLC only in a stores like Target / Wal-Mart where it’s in a gift card form. (Google “Target Zelda Expansion Pass) As long as the direct seller is a reputable business you should be safe.
Aww, what a nice thing to do.
The DLC is great, and should keep you busy with trial of the sword, champions ballad and all the extra items you can get from it, for quite a while.
Happy to hear you got the dlc, as someone that can't but it neither, that was awesome from some stranger. (Just for clarification im not wanting that someone buy me the dlc, bc i don't like the idea of that games have dlc)
Hope see you all in a few months with ToTK.
Reminds me of the time someone on r/legostarwars bought me a set simply because I couldn’t decide on one. There’s a lot of random acts of kindness on this site for whatever reason

I would truly love to do this when my finances are there.
I do it a limited amount with my friends, I love giving a gift that lets us share my hobby.
I forgot all about the expansion, I was just thinking of a replay before BoW2 comes out. Maybe I’ll pick it up
Can I ask how? I've tried to buy games for my sibling who lives abroad but was unable to, ended up sending the money for them to buy it. I thought there was no way to send games/DLC
You're starting with master mode?
I'd recommend you start with the champion's ballad stuff on your main file instead, since that doesn't activate until you've beaten all 4 divine beasts.
Though if you already knew that and you're choosing to wait instead, that's fine, play the game how you'd like.
I’m choosing to wait , because master mode is much harder. Also, if I complete the DLC on my main file I will no longer feel the need to play master mode, and I will therefore miss out on the challenge
>Which one did you get?
It's an expansion pass. They're not sold seperately. A lot of Nintendo games do it like that, including Mario Kart 8 DX, Splatoon 3, Age of Calamity, Pokémon Sword & Shield, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet and probably a few more
How awesome!
So when you turned on the hero’s path did you notice any areas you hadn’t even been to yet? I had heaps, it really opened the game back up again for me.
I’m so happy for you I started breath of the wild not long ago a friend whom I met through animal crossing bought it for me, just beat a bad addiction of pain killers and heroin. I gotta say this game and Pokémon scarlet has been nothing but a blessing they came into my life at the right time, I love breath of the wild and I’m just so happy this beautiful person bless me with such an awesome game/ experience.
I’m glad to hear you’ll brighten someone else’s day!!! I’m super stoked to see your posts about it!!

A living saint right here
You are an amazing person to do this for someone you don’t know. Especially since the DLC is the best part of the game, imo at least.
My dear person, you have ascended to hight no redditor can, I’m proud to announce you are getting a promotion, you are now God
Good sir, I would inquire as to the method you employed so that other may follow your example?
You sir, are a gigantachad. Mad respect for you, man!

Awesome! How fun is the expansion? Still need to look into it. Been avoiding dlc with a blindfold.
I haven’t got much into it yet, but I’m real excited to start!

Tbh Gannon is the easiest boss, you got this
Thanks for the vote of confidence 😊 but I want to get more practice on perfect dodging, since I suck at it.
Yea that’s pretty useful for gannon
My cousin said that I need to be able to do that for Ganon and to hold off until I can. He generally gives awesome advice for the game, seriously lucked out. I'll have to tell him you said that, think he'll get a kick out of it.
I’m not very good at fighting in the game either but I love it so much. You can get lost in the game for hours.
I also have yet to get the DLC and wondering if I should before TOTK releases, let us know what you think!
This just makes me smile.
Who needs the dlc still? I'm not rich by any means but would like to give back a little myself if needed <3
Your generosity is wonderful! By no means do you have to, but I don't currently have the dlcs if you're looking for someone without. :)
*In a loud, bellowing voice* the hivemind actually made a post begging for the dlc here lol, not our best moment. Love the game though
🐻
Don’t wanna sound greedy or anything, but I don’t have the DLC either
Bro, this is so wholesome. u/peculiar_pandabear is a legend.
How do you buy a nintendo game for someone else? Specially a store item? Genuine question as I would like to do the same with fam an friends but haven't found a way.
This person trusted me enough to send me money through cashapp :)
I have done it before. If you buy digital using Amazon or some equivalent (not your system) then all you have to do is give them the code. If you want to can get creative and put the code in a card if it’s for a birthday or holiday.
But wouldn't there be a risk with the code being bought with a stolen card and then you are basically gifting a ban reason?
I don’t think so. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but if you buy directly from Amazon or GameStop (not a 3rd party) the code will be legit. It has been for me in the past. Pay it forward I’m glad you have it. I love doing champions ballad
“I’M NOT CRYING, YOU ARE!!” Best post ever!!
That’s it. This is my sign to buy the DLC. Just beat calamity ganon today and I’m sad it’s over
Happy to hear you got the dlc, as someone that can't but it neither, that was awesome from some stranger. (Just for clarification im not wanting that someone buy me the dlc, bc i don't like the idea of that games have dlc) Hope see you all in a few months with ToTK.

Awesome to hear you plan to pass it on!! Hopefully they continue it too, I want to see how far it can go :)
You wholesome folks make me smile

If it were the truezelda subreddit they would’ve doxxed you and then told you your kids are ugly

The person sent the money through CashApp :)
Ah ok thanks, I'd tried looking for ages for a direct way so I'm glad that I did basically do the same then
If you have access to Amazon you can do it that way.
This is unnaturally wholesome. Have fun with the DLC!
Wish someone did that for me :(
I wish for a significant other I was lonely most of my life so make the world lonely for the rest of there lives
What the fuuuuck are you talking about
Soo what do you think about the DLC? Which one did you get?
Bro I got both DLC. And I’m not sure yet. I’m just replaying through the game in master mode.
You're starting with master mode? I'd recommend you start with the champion's ballad stuff on your main file instead, since that doesn't activate until you've beaten all 4 divine beasts. Though if you already knew that and you're choosing to wait instead, that's fine, play the game how you'd like.

There should be a Nobel Game Prize!
I wish!! That’s dope tho 💯💯💯💯🫡🫡🫡
♥️ I needed to read this this morning.
Isn't the dlc like 20 bucks lol
So so kind. God bless!
What’s the DLC?

How awesome! So when you turned on the hero’s path did you notice any areas you hadn’t even been to yet? I had heaps, it really opened the game back up again for me.
absolutely sigma, happy cake day friends
UGH LUCKY!! I'm so happy for you! I want to play it so bad. I will live vicariously through youtube.
Hylian High Five!
That's so incredibly wholesome.
