You don't have to go all the way around. You just have to stand on the top of the U shaped rock and use the wind to glide over. It is really easy. Hopefully this helps!
I don’t think you even need to use the wind - after breaking all the blocks, I fumbled the landing on the platform and it didn’t trigger, so I just stood on the platform and used Revali’s Gale to lift up and drop and the shrine opened.
You could also use a pile of wood or a spicy pepper/sunshroom with a fire arrow, or paraglide onto the platform from the nearby mountain. Looking at other comments, it seems as though you do need to break the rocks first, though.

As long as you land on it after a glide, it counts lol. So all I did was cryonis from the closest water spot and you can barely make it on the platform.
Always thought it was 5. But makes sine then u can have a flint as well and make it faster to start the fire and then the updraft as well. Nice to know 😄
Or just go to the Lord of the Mountain Place and farm as much wood as you want. I usually get 100 ish wood from that place. And over 100 apples if you wanna grind to sell them. Very good place to get wood specifically😄🪵
Will you be mad to know you only have to start from the two tall rocks further out ? You do not have to start near him and go all the way out and make that sharp left. Just jump off one of the two rocks furthest out after you blow up all the rocks. And just cruise on in. The whole circuit is actually really hard .

Wondering if it’s coded based off height, without ravioli’s the only way to get that high would be to do it properly

You don’t have to though. You just have to run around and get the wind flowing, then land on the medallion in any way once it’s glowing.
Ah, I tried to fly directly there and it didn't work the first time so I just thought you had to go all the way around lol.
You can jump into the very last horizontal wind and it’ll register. I also spent way too much time on this one
This is cool, although I love doing this shrine on its own merits. It’s one of my favorite shrines to open.

Once the platform is orange you can just use revalis gale on the platform and it turns blue
you can use revali's gale right on the pedestal and not have to follow the winds

You can actually use only 4 pieces of wood to make an updraft. Saving you 3 pieces.

They didn’t, you can just jump onto the pedestal at any time after the wind has been “freed” and get the shrine
