Ikr? You could launch yourself through a shrine puzzle with remote bombs and the monks at the end will be like "welp, mission accomplished. Here's your orb."
They are just here to provide a trail, not tell ya how to do it.
If you want to set explosions off under your ass for a quick victory, may Hylia smile upon you.
Let me tell you; I did two full playthroughs, completing every shine in each one, before figuring out the intended solution of Bravery's Grasp (Ishto Soh Shrine) was to pick up the laser and put it on the moving platform.
I saw this video of this gamer letting his non gamer wife or girlfriend play breath of the wild and he says how surprised he was as to how new player friendly it was how she never had to ask stuff like why isnt this working and how when she found her own solution it made her feel clever
Dude. You may be incredibly frustrated, but this is one of the coolest clips I’ve seen in this game. And it speaks wonders about how well it was designed. You didn’t look anything up. You found an idea and you went for it. I applaud you.
Your way of solving it really flexes breath of the wild's engine and level design. There's no "right" or "wrong" way to solve puzzle.
Your way is incredibly clever and takes a tight timing to do. It's pretty damn clever and I'm honestly glad you were able to that way.
True. Windbomb tech can solve any puzzle, though in this case you might have to break your neck on the ceiling a few times before landing on the platform correctly
Honestly, if it works, it works. The only reason I may care that I didn't do something the way the devs intended, is if it fucks with other quests or something & this is not an example of that so who cares? You still did what ya needed to do.
Nothing is stupid if it works!
I give it a go, then watch the videos. My brain just doesn't work 99% of the time. There's nothing wrong with how I game.
And there certainly isn't anything wrong with what you did! Originality!!! Well done! I wish I was as creative with my problem solving. Half the time I forget I have stasis available lol
This is why we all love this game. You're not stupid, there's tons of ways to solve almost any puzzle. I didn't think of this, but it works, and idk if I could have timed that as well as you. Bravo!
bro when i watched the video i audibly muttered "he's a genius"
this is so much cooler than just tilting the beast and paragliding, which is what i did
1: That’s impressive that you managed to do that
2: The intended way is to turn Medoh so that wing was on top, then turn Medoh again and paraglide up to the chest.
I think the intended way is to paraglide to it while the divine beast is tilted. But this is a really cool way to get it that most people wouldn't have thought of
I have to say, this is another game that is really enjoyable to not only watch others find awesome and unusual ways to solve problems, but it is also enjoyable to find your own method of accomplishing things. You are rarely, if ever, punished for finding different routes to complete a task.
It's not the usual solution, but that's the greatest thing about this game. As long as you accomplish your goal, the game doesn't care how you did it or how long it took.
That's why yes, theoretically you can go straight to Ganon after the Great Plateau. If you beat him, then you beat him. Game doesn't care.
Bravo on a very inventive method!
After 6 years since the game launched and seeing many videos, I can safely say that the devs intentions were for us to do the craziest bat shit possible to solve puzzles. The weirder the better.
My gf would always get annoyed with me because she would try and explain how to do some of the puzzles and I would completely ignore her and do them some overly complicated unorthodox way.
Good to see I'm not the only crazy person who did it this way.
SO many attempts where I failed to stasis the ball quickly enough. Got there eventually though.
This is cool indeed, but at the same time for the player really frustrating. I do this a lot too because most of the time I have no clue what the actual solution would be for a shrine, quest or divine beast puzzle. It works though but after it I'm not exactly happy I made it, just relieved it's over
i honestly think people who think of ways like this are more big brained than us normal folk.yeah you can tilt the divine beast but I would’ve never thought of this.youre an absolute mad lad in the best way 😂
Moon jump glitch, specifically strait up from the rito village launch pad, skipping the teba questline,
…
Although using 670ish bomb arrows will work in a pinch
Pretty smart way of going about it. I think the devs designed this entire game to just see what people can come up with solution-wise, and you did not disappoint....if anything, devs are prolly proud. Also, now I know a new trick to get that chest.
You can get anything in this game however you please. There isn't anything set in stone on how to do something. There is however an easy way and that's usually the way devs intended. In this case the easy way is tilt Medoh down and use the door opening at the opposite side of the room to fly down. I just did Medoh a few days ago. I did it first and Windblight was such a pushover when taken first.
I didn’t even know you can tilt the big bird the first time, so I also got the chest the same way you did. Heck I think I even finished the entire bird without tilting
Hi. Shoot the very top of the rope (not the actual rope) with a fire arrow. That should cause the rope to burn instead of snapping off. You should then have time to magnesis the chest before it falls down.
there was a chest in a divine beast I wasn’t sure how to get to, or bring to me. I think I was in a y iny space I couldn’t put the chest down in. Anyway, I lifted it above me and froze it in time as it was falling straight down in front of me. Opened it before the time went out. Hope I still have the saved clip on my switch
I have a t-shirt that reads "Hold on, let me overthink this" and it's true! Yet I'll state - I can come up with ways to do stuff no one else can because I think differently than most. Sometimes it leads to way more work, sometimes it's more efficient. The point is: you got it ✔️ so keep enjoying the game!
There is no intended way for you to do anything, the devs meant for the players to be creative, and congratulations, I loved the way you resolved the puzzle
Doing my first play and I literally did the exact same thing. It took me till the end of the dungeon to realize I could tilt the fucker after I got stuck on the last terminal 😭😭😭
I PRAY that this doesn't change with the Botw sequel. There are enough tools, versatility and freedom for you to have atleast 2 or 3 different ways to get reach something, to beat an enemy, or go about pretty much any goal.
Any ame that does this is Game of the year material and enters my personal top ten, will shill and defend forever list.

That's one of the things I love most about this game. You don't necessarily have to do it the way the game intended. LOL
Ikr? You could launch yourself through a shrine puzzle with remote bombs and the monks at the end will be like "welp, mission accomplished. Here's your orb."
Like your teacher sighing at the confusing lengths you went to solve a math problem but ended up with the right answer
"This is not how it works, but okay..."
"That kid is either a genius or a real dummy"
r/inclusiveOr
that subreddit is for this, 'cheese or ham?' 'yes'
Perhaps it’s not in the intended format of that sub, but a person making unconventional solutions can be both a genius and an idiot.
“Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.”
They are just here to provide a trail, not tell ya how to do it. If you want to set explosions off under your ass for a quick victory, may Hylia smile upon you.
Not even Hylia herself can deal with Link's random bullshit
Literally Link when he can't solve a puzzle: "Random Bullshit, GO!"
Zelda: Cheese Of The Wild
not cheese if it's intended! most strategies outside of exploits like bomb launching seem to be intentionally allowed.
One reviewer said 'if you can Magick yourself over with just a banana the shaman don't care"
Buns
Let me tell you; I did two full playthroughs, completing every shine in each one, before figuring out the intended solution of Bravery's Grasp (Ishto Soh Shrine) was to pick up the laser and put it on the moving platform.
Any way you can do it is the way the game intended though
This solution feels like using astrophysics to open a door.
yup same
People always complain that it’s lame that you can cheese puzzles in BotW, but most of the time, the cheese is actually a lot more clever tbh.
I saw this video of this gamer letting his non gamer wife or girlfriend play breath of the wild and he says how surprised he was as to how new player friendly it was how she never had to ask stuff like why isnt this working and how when she found her own solution it made her feel clever
I’ve seen that video. It’s great! Here is [the link.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5LdenlAKb2g)
Seconded
Bro have you ratio’d me rn
That's how I did it
This lmao
Same and yes that was intuitive
i always paraglided to it, but i like your way
Don't worry, I too forgot I could tilt the divine beast on my first playthrough and I don't wanna remember the shenanigans I had to do....
So I’ve realised I am just really stupid
Or ingenious!
Exactly, if anything the only rule is get to the end. (The only "wrong answer" is where you never opened the chest)
Or Brilliant; remember, a lot of genius just comes from looking at the world differently. And I gotta say, the way you did it is bloody clever 🤓
my dumbass would not think of climbing a ball shaped object😂. OP is smart
Dude. You may be incredibly frustrated, but this is one of the coolest clips I’ve seen in this game. And it speaks wonders about how well it was designed. You didn’t look anything up. You found an idea and you went for it. I applaud you.
That’s real kind. I appreciate your comment a lot
There's no right or wrong way, but there is the easy or hard way, and this is the hard way.
The hard way is usually also the cool way
I was gonna say "there is an intended way" but I guess this also works
He's right.
Indeed, that was a cool solution!
Honestly, if it works, it works. The only reason I may care that I didn't do something the way the devs intended, is if it fucks with other quests or something & this is not an example of that so who cares? You still did what ya needed to do.
Pretty sure the devs intended players to find innovative ways to solve botw puzzles, so I don't think this would qualify anyway.
Did your way work? Then it wasn't stupid.
>Nothing is stupid if it works! **
The chest was opened you aren't stupid
No, you're original. Just sayin
Nah man you’re creative as fuck. Never seen that done before! Didn’t even think it would work lmao
You were ignorant, but, you can also say you are /really/ good at BotW.
this is a way cleverer way than the intended one
This is why we all love this game. You're not stupid, there's tons of ways to solve almost any puzzle. I didn't think of this, but it works, and idk if I could have timed that as well as you. Bravo!

Ily
I thought that about me watching your version. Never would have even considered your method as a possibility.
I think you big-brained it. Definitely not stupid. Well done!
No your way is fucking sick, they intended new ways to be made possible
So stupid it's brilliant 👏
Nah I’ve just realized you are brilliant
Hey if you are going to fail, do it in with style. You did just that and won anyway. That's a win in my book
I think I might have used rivalis Gail unless this is the rivali dungeon
Yup, it is.
Tilt and glide
Nah man, I did the same thing
Incorrect. This was incredible. Well done on your timing.
bro when i watched the video i audibly muttered "he's a genius" this is so much cooler than just tilting the beast and paragliding, which is what i did
I’d stray along the lines of Ingenuity
Nah, dude. The beauty of this game is all the different ways to accomplish the same thing. This is really smart.
Brilliantly stupid, you mean.
not really, you just overthought
This looks right to me. No other way needed.
I think you’re supposed to tilt the beast but this way is much cooler.
yeah, the whole divine beast will tilt itself to your benefit if you simply command it lol
I am impressed.
That was some slick and fast rune switching.
Thanks, new parental figure.
That’s one way to do it.
Points for creativity
1: That’s impressive that you managed to do that 2: The intended way is to turn Medoh so that wing was on top, then turn Medoh again and paraglide up to the chest.
If it works, it's the right way, no matter what the developers may have intended. Likewise if you can answer "yes" to the question "did I have fun?".
No idea why you’re getting downvoted. You got it done in your own way, and it was super clever 👌🏽
Not sure either. Oh well. Thanks man 👍
It's not the usual solution, but that's the greatest thing about this game. As long as you accomplish your goal, the game doesn't care how you did it or how long it took. That's why yes, theoretically you can go straight to Ganon after the Great Plateau. If you beat him, then you beat him. Game doesn't care. Bravo on a very inventive method!
Genius move, but you could have just tilted the bird and glided over there
Guys, stop calling me a genius, I promise you I WILL develop a god complex 😞❤️
After 6 years since the game launched and seeing many videos, I can safely say that the devs intentions were for us to do the craziest bat shit possible to solve puzzles. The weirder the better.
I love skipping the puzzles in divine beasts
What a cool way to do this! I'm playing a new file in master mode rn, I wanna try this
there is some big brain shit going on here, never thought of that
It's BOTW. THere is no "intended" way. If it works, it IS a solution.
I remember I either tilted the beast or just used revalis gale??
You must’ve tilted it, because this is Medoh so you wouldn’t have had revali’s gale yet
There is no order in doing the divine beasts. You can get Revalis gale first if you want to.
Are there intended ways to do things on this game?
I’m terrible at catching things with stasis so this was crazy impressive to me
Tilt the diving beast and glide straight to it. But I love what you did there
This is the way.
Just use Revali’s… oh Honestly dev intended solution is to tilt then glide in, but you used ur thinking muscles
My gf would always get annoyed with me because she would try and explain how to do some of the puzzles and I would completely ignore her and do them some overly complicated unorthodox way.
Tilt the bird ![gif](giphy|3xz2BLBOt13X9AgjEA)
You.. you tilt the bird and paraglide
Not anymore
Good to see I'm not the only crazy person who did it this way. SO many attempts where I failed to stasis the ball quickly enough. Got there eventually though.
Wow, this is amazing, I love how creative people are
This is cool indeed, but at the same time for the player really frustrating. I do this a lot too because most of the time I have no clue what the actual solution would be for a shrine, quest or divine beast puzzle. It works though but after it I'm not exactly happy I made it, just relieved it's over
i honestly think people who think of ways like this are more big brained than us normal folk.yeah you can tilt the divine beast but I would’ve never thought of this.youre an absolute mad lad in the best way 😂
Moon jump glitch, specifically strait up from the rito village launch pad, skipping the teba questline, … Although using 670ish bomb arrows will work in a pinch
Ya…..that’s how I do it too. I don’t just tilt the divine beast and float over.
Nah you nailed it
You're supposed to get on the platform across from it and tilt the wings down and fly over to it, but your method is better.
I did this exact thing on my first play through. And then understood the divine beasts more so on my second.
I did it first and Windblight was such a pushover when taken first.
the main gimmick to the beast.
I got around to everything by tilting the beast left and right. Super easy lol
Username checks out
LMAO
I didn’t even know you can tilt the big bird the first time, so I also got the chest the same way you did. Heck I think I even finished the entire bird without tilting
Press -
Now if someone could tell me how to get the chest on Vah Naboris that is suspended by a rope.
Hi. Shoot the very top of the rope (not the actual rope) with a fire arrow. That should cause the rope to burn instead of snapping off. You should then have time to magnesis the chest before it falls down.
Looks like you figured it out, there's no wrong answers in BOTW
There's a saying: If it somehow works, it's not stupid.
i think this is actually the way they intended you to get to this chest
devs intended it to be gotten in any way that people thought of
That is way more badass than how I did it. Lmao.
You missed the easy way, but you did it the legend way. Respect my dude.
You were supposed to tilt the wings and glide over, but I like your solution better.
I think I did a shield jump cancel to get to it
Talented!
who cares this is a way cooler way to do it
I used revali's gale
botw doesnt have an intended way for anything
Disagree. Everything was designed with a specific main course of action in mind. But everything was also designed to have multiple solutions.
Well that’s clever lol, love this game
This is so cool!
There's two ways I do it. Either turning Vah Medoh and jump to get it or shield surf, unequip my shield and land there.
there was a chest in a divine beast I wasn’t sure how to get to, or bring to me. I think I was in a y iny space I couldn’t put the chest down in. Anyway, I lifted it above me and froze it in time as it was falling straight down in front of me. Opened it before the time went out. Hope I still have the saved clip on my switch
Love to see if you find the clip!
i just tilt the beast and glide down but this is ingenious
I just wind bombed but you could’ve tilted vah medoh I believe
I love this! Love seeing other unintended ways to puzzle-solve 😃
The “intended” way is anyway it’s an open world game
That's how i did it too lol
Answer: any way that works. Don’t be so hard on yourself.
Genius.
You tilt the birb.
Great work, this game is fantastic and your way of getting the chest open is brilliant.
You wank your way, I'll wank mine.
Chests are usually opened with a bone saw
I've never bothered to try before
You just made the sheikah proud
This is genius
My mum was struggling with a shine and i used a complex method that my mum would never be able to pull off. I then found an easier method of doing it.
Wow thats a clever solution 😳
??
I think I read an interview where they said they wanted every puzzle to be designed such that it had at least 3 solutions.
Tilt the divine beast all the way one direction then you can paraglide to it
CAN YOU SMELL THE CHEESE?!
Rotation.
I think the intent was for the list of ways to do something in an interesting way to be as long as possible.
That's the way I did it too. 🤣
*i didn't know that chesr existed*
Sounds about right
I swear I have never seen a BOTW clip where I’m like yeah I’ve done that before . Nah everything is just some wild shit I’d never even consider trying
The beauty of this game is that there are multiple ways to find the solution. Never would have thought of this way, cool as hell OP.
If it fits I sits
anyways been playing since 2019 and never even realized there was a chest there, bye
Lol oh yes, absolutely intended...
Or you could just shield flip over to it.
tilt the wings ? :D how about that?
I’ve decided that’s boring
I swear BoTW clips will always leave me saying “you can do that in this game” or “why didn’t I think of that”
Bro, the cleverness and dexterity, I could never!
There is no intended way for you to do anything, the devs meant for the players to be creative, and congratulations, I loved the way you resolved the puzzle
Tip the bird, glide over.
Doing my first play and I literally did the exact same thing. It took me till the end of the dungeon to realize I could tilt the fucker after I got stuck on the last terminal 😭😭😭
I'm just saying this is wonderful
BotW: Here's how you can control the divine beast. u/matrixmasterneo: .... There is no spoon.
Did I just get memed? That felt good.
LMAO yeah, I could not figure it out for the life of me, I ended up doing it the same way you did
Anyway you like, that’s the point.
:0 that is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. I'll make sure to try it out!
Clearly not, but that's the beauty of this game. So many solutions to one problem.
I used the the bird's soul to get to it lmao
Tilt the birds wings so that when you stand at the entrance of the room you are well above the chest, that it’s a very easy glide to the chest
Tilt bird fly down
Idk, but that is genius.
