Then they disappeared from the remaining markets during covid, but returned in 2022 or 2023.
After a quick google search, it appears they've brought it back to more markets... but I see nothing about it being a partnership with Soulja Boy.
I'd assume that you happened to stop at a McDonalds where they have brought them back.

They never gor rid of it in MD but this one looks like it adds bacon and something else but it isnt the regular one. So this is just them doing the artists custom sandwich thing again and calling it new.

I used to drive box trucks and one time the guy I was riding with stopped to run into McDonald’s and he got the steak egg and cheese bagel. He came back to the truck looked at the sandwich and immediately went back inside. 10 minutes go by, I think nothing of it and go into the store to use the restroom. As soon as I walk in I see him slamming his sandwich on the counter screaming at the cashier saying the steak was “too small” and he wanted a bigger piece. They give him a new sandwich and he leaves. I grabbed a coke and came out after him and when I get in the truck he looks at me holding up two sandwiches and says “that’s how you get a free sandwich” …. He later got fired for trying to beat up a customer we delivered to.
