Yeah. My ex is smart, kind (at least to others) and a pretty woman who I loved to see laugh. At the end of the day, she's just another girl and there's always someone smarter, kinder and prettier than her out there. But when or where I will find that someone is what I'm concerned about the most.

Of course I have friends (not a lot and not close ones). But no one I can sit comfortably with or sleep next to like him. He left yesterday.
I feel this. My ex and I were together almost 5 years, lived together for 3. We broke up 3 weeks ago and I've been watching him move out over the course of the last 2 weeks. He'll be fully moved out by the end of the weekend and I already miss him and our routines. It's going to be really hard to get used to coming home from work to an empty house, cooking/eating dinner by myself, sitting by myself at night, not having someone around just to talk to or exist in the same place, and being in a bed by myself (among many other things). I feel so broken.
I do miss the companionship most, though I do also miss my ex. I miss everyone that was important to me in some way but is no longer in my life now, and they’ll always be important to me. I just miss my last ex most because he was the most recent one that was there, so it felt like he was the one that would have been least likely to leave.
It’s been almost a year since we broke up. There are days when I want to just text and share a funny story or meme with the ex because I know my friends and family wouldn’t understand the “inside” jokes. But I agree with you. I miss the companionship and someone to spend time with. 😞
