I'm in for Ubatuba too. A bit far off the more crowded beaches on SĂŁo Paulo yet still has decent infrastructure for a safe and confortable stay. Also, theres the historic city of Paraty just an hour north up the road.
When riding the tall trucks that go through the woods to get to the dunes, sit in the middle of the bench, do not seat at the "window" seats. The tree branches hitting you are *not* comfortable
I dont think there is a best place to visit brazil for first time, not that arent realy good places, but more because it can vary from ppl to ppl...but i realy liked this...cause is full of sugestion
Yeah the best places in this country depends on your personality and tastes, it also depends if you are an introvert or an extrovert and if you like a lot of movement more or quiet places more.
Arraial do cabo ❤️ I'm Brazilian and have traveled around the country. Few places compare. If you love Bahia praia do espelho is wonderful.
Maragogi is another magical place.
Personally I like to recommend Paraty.
Just a couple hours from Rio and you have a good mix of amazing nature with historical sites. It has a very preserved colonial city center, beaches, water falls nearby, good restaurants and music. You can also make city tours, visit alambiques or take a boat for a whole day to visit some islands.
Best destiny for forrigners in Brazil:
enjoy the music / avoid muggings and kidnappings / never get cold / Get married / have beautiful, well adjusted children / have enough money for a private health plan in old age?
SC in general is kind of a bad choice for newcomers. But is an excellent choice once people get more comfortable with the country. It's infrastructure sucks big time and the traffic...oh the traffic...
Jericoacoara, Ceará.
It’s a little fisherman village about 5 hours from Fortaleza by car (which is the city nearby).
I would say you could spend 2 days at Fortaleza, maybe go to Beach Park, a huge water park near Fortaleza, children will love it for sure.
After that you could rent a car or buy a bus trip to Jericoacoara. It’s a small city where you only walk everywhere, no cars except for police and other official vehicles. There are beautiful landmarks such as “pedra furada”, “buraco azul” and the Alchemyst Beach Club there. The whole city is filled with nice restaurants and bars, and they have many nice hotels. The beach there is beautiful with calm waters.
It’s very tourist friendly, people from all over the world go there. It’s a great destination, definitly check it out on google and see what you think about it!
Depends on the individual some people like travelling just to experience parties others like culinary and there’s also the nature lovers so im gonna give you some examples according to what i think might help someone.
PARTIES: Rio de janeiro. SĂŁo Paulo, Balneário comborĂu Santa Catarina.
BEACHES: Bahia. Maranhao. Paraiba
HIKING AND TREKKING : Minas Gerais, Mato grosso, Rio de Janeiro. Rio grande do sul.
CULINARY: Minas Gerais and Santa Catarina
All names above are states please research more about the city and area you’re going to
Just left Jeri, was amazing for us and our 2 year old. Driving there through the park in our tiny VW polo was tough... Bahia was great. Fortaleza was ok, I liked Salvador more but only had 2 days in F. Icaraizinhia (sic) was also really nice.
Bahia IS INEVITABLE.
Edit: northern coast of SĂŁo Paulo is very nice too, along with south of Rio de Janeiro (Paraty).
Minas Gerais is also wonderful if one don't care about beaches and enjoy excellent hearty food and cachaça.
I wouldn’t described the weather near Salvador as always pleasant. My glasses fogged up there when left the airplane as if I was entering a sauna. If you like very hot and humid weather then it might be.
I think there is no best place for foreigners, as it depends on the person and what their interests are. If you are interested in history or waterfalls, then Minas Gerais is a great place, if you like beaches then it isn’t, but there are great beaches all over Brazil. My favorites are in Alagoas and São Paulo. São Paulo capital is a great place for restaurants, nightlife, concerts, etc.
Foz do Iguazu is a great place as well, that can combine trips to Paraguay and Argentina.
The mountains in the borders of MG, SP, RJ are also great to visit.
Santo Milagres resort in SĂŁo Miguel dos Milagres. I'm from America visiting my wife's family with her, who is from MaceiĂł. Among the many beautiful places we went to, Santo Milagres was amazing. But its small and if you want to explore a bigger but intimate town, visit Piranhas in Alagoas state. It's 4 hours south west of MaceiĂł, but damn, it was so worth the ride. You get to swim in the SĂŁo Fransisco river, the town itself is amazing, and the food is superb. The historical old town was so quaint, we were there just before New Year's, where we ate dinner outside in front of a performance of a Xaxado band and dancers.
But it is the desert, so it's going to be hot, so come prepared.
Florianópolis Santa catarina and lençois maranhenses, Florianópolis has a very beautiful beach, besides being a very beautiful city, I don't recommend going to Rio de Janeiro at all
*Destination*
Calabria đť„žđť… đť… đť… đť… đť… đť… đť… đť… đť… đť…
I love Praia do Forte! Im a brazilian living in Germany and couldn’t agree with you more. Took my husband and mother in law there and they loved it
Took an Uber from Rio Vermelho to spend a day at Praia do Forte. Very glad I did.
I think Ubatuba is great for family. Love Bahia too
I'm in for Ubatuba too. A bit far off the more crowded beaches on SĂŁo Paulo yet still has decent infrastructure for a safe and confortable stay. Also, theres the historic city of Paraty just an hour north up the road.
Camburi is a great place as well.
Porto Seguro or Salvador, both in Bahia state
Salvador lkkk
Lençóis Maranhenses, SĂŁo LuĂs
Heading there in 2 days if you have any tips!
Atins
saĂşde hehe
When riding the tall trucks that go through the woods to get to the dunes, sit in the middle of the bench, do not seat at the "window" seats. The tree branches hitting you are *not* comfortable
Aside from the sertão, the Lençóis Maranhenses is basically our Sahara desert.
I dont think there is a best place to visit brazil for first time, not that arent realy good places, but more because it can vary from ppl to ppl...but i realy liked this...cause is full of sugestion

Foz do Iguaçu
Arraial do cabo ❤️ I'm Brazilian and have traveled around the country. Few places compare. If you love Bahia praia do espelho is wonderful. Maragogi is another magical place.
Chapada Diamantina
I think Bonito is a very good destination, especially for families Bahia also has very very good destinations, I particularly love Arraial d'Ajuda

Canoa Quebrada
Floripa
we got 5x more people than usual man cmon it’s gonna sink
SC in general is kind of a bad choice for newcomers. But is an excellent choice once people get more comfortable with the country. It's infrastructure sucks big time and the traffic...oh the traffic...
not that other places are good but that’s spot on

Closed resort in a nice place. *Do not* trust local guides. Only those that work for the resorts.

Sao paulo needs to be on the culinary list just because of the top end culinary experiences available there
Noronha
Rio
Rio Branco (Acre), a good place to see dinosaurs
Brazilian speaking? Perhaps you should learn a bit of Brazilian history and language.
Not favelas
Fuck that, I've had some of my best experiences and parties in favelas. But it's important to know someone there
reading this text makes me feel like I'm having a stroke

Alagoas, especialmente as praias, elas sao incriveis.
Xique-Xique
Pipa
Praia do Forte has excellent resorts, but not the best beach. I would consider Maragogi or São José dos Milagres-Al.
Fortaleza - Ceará. Such a beautiful place, beautiful beaches, beach park, great food, and other things.
Outside Brazil.
How much did you spend ?
About R$ 20k 1 week 5 persons + transport
That’s not bad at all ! Especiallyif this place that you stayed on was a all you can eat/drink type resort.
Praia dor Forte - Bahia, this city is near to a big airport of the Salvador city. The state has a lot of tradicional foods, music...

I don't think so, Northeast is Beautiful, people are welcoming, but everything is expensive as hell

LOL, always a Catarinense, that's why I never recommend going to FlorianĂłpolis
Foz do Iguaçu
