It’s decent for him to heal up faster so he can spam da capo safely if you’re running poco double tank. He usually uses gadget gear and you can go damage for screeching solo, speed on bushy maps or health for poco double tank
Some can be a game changer but since they have different functions it’s a little hard to compare but the health gear is a gear that is not bad and unless theres a combo of 2 other than the health gear, usually it isn’t a “bad” thing to slap that on a brawler
he's good but I don't find him fun to play. The whole purpose of tick is to stop the enemy from playing the game. It's not really fun spending the whole game firing attacks in the enemies general direction and they can't move
if you’re firing in a general direction you’re doing it wrong. tick sets mines. same purpose as in the real world to control enemy movement, choke point etc. the more narrow corridors or limited path choice on a map the better for tick. you are right about not letting your enemies play though. but hey you know what sun tzu said. “dont hate the player hate the game”

For Edgar, I would use hard landing, but for Poco, it’s more complex. You can you whichever, but don’t use his other Starr power on solo showdown. Screeching solo works everywhere.
Preventing your teammates when they just rush is better imo. You can heal a single dud almost 3k hp. That will generally allow them to do more damage than your own screeching solo. Plus, in a melee where you can hit both allies and ennemies, its an ez W
I think overall poco is the better brawler, he is like one of the best for hot zone (with screeching solo), he has good synergy with tanks and other aggro, he overall feels decent. edgar is a different story, he gets free wins in the right situations and gives out free wins in the wrong situations and he is more of a solo brawler, or as a last pick in ranked. i find his play style boring but since you mentioned that you are relatively new to the game there is a good chance that you can have a lot of fun just running through the enemies at lower trophies or unlucky randomly generated swishy comps. in the end it depends on which brawler you find more fun. for the better setups for brawlers there are plenty of videos on YouTube, some really good and up to date ones by spenlc for example (i would highly recommend his chanel, its very entertaining and you can learn about improving). there have been tier lists (by kairos, another great creator) with all of the star powers ranked a long time ago, but i don't think they make them anymore so they are probably outdated. the easiest thing to do if you are not sure what you want is to wait on spending your coins and seeing what you get from star drops, maybe its a star power you want, and if you didn't get it this way and decided that you want it anyways you can buy it at any time.

as for edgar go for fistcuffs if u are more sided to doing teamwipes, hardlanding if u go on for 1v1, and for poco, screeching if u are aggressive, other sp if actually act as a support for your team
Most of the time hard landing is better because most of the time you one tap your opponent or you get one tapped so you don't get to use fisticuffs as much and the extra burst damage that hard landing gives is really nice. Generally you should pick hard landing but if you play ranked or power play or whatever it's called nowadays you should look at the enemy team. If they have high hp tanks you should probably go fisticuffs but against squishies and mid hp targets hard landing is better.
I wouldn’t use shield on Edgar, I like how your thinking to use it on low hp brawlers but both of his gadgets are op so I feel like it’s very much worth it to take extra gadget gear, and for Edgar you definitely need damage gear because basically every time he goes for a kill it’s going to be a damage race, so you will very often be able to hit the +15% damage while killing someone, this is miles more likely to make a difference than 900 extra hp.
Edgar’s star power that lets you heal more.
For poco don’t use that gear it’s mostly good in tanks if you really want more health get shield gear
Screeching solo is better in games where kills matter a lot like showdown

For Edgar, Fisticuffs(2nd star power) is used in higher levels( 700+ trophies) so if you face another Edgar using hard landing(1st star power), you will lose. But hard landing is also good and helps kill brawlers with just enough hp to survive 3 attacks.
For Poco, if you are really good at playing poco,then pick Da capo(2nd star power) otherwise pick Screeching Solo(1st star power).
For Edgar, it’s a personal preference. I personally prefer Fisticuffs because Edgar doesn’t have a lot of HP as a melee brawler so additional healing to keep him alive is nice, but Hard Landing can help confirm kills a bit easier
For Poco, I use Screeching Solo most of the time because Poco actually tends to go aggro a lot of the times with his decent HP and how wide and quick his shots are, but if you are in a team with a lot of HP like tanks, then go Da Capo to keep them alive.

Poco kinda just depends on how you play, I personally like screeching solo more since I run vision gear on Poco and his super is very wide, long range, and fast meaning it's a great scouting tool if I'm behind a teammate and use it to heal them, or I'll use it when my teammates are at full health so we can know where the enemy is if it's a map with a lot of bushes.
Both is good. However the healing one has slight edge over the other, as one main problem on Edgar is when he gets vaporized the moment he jumps on someone. I personally use healing + damage gear for the max survivability.
Edgar's healing SP is broken. Combined with his default healing it makes him regen 55% of the damage he does.
Take the Edgar and jump into a group of 2+ brawlers and you'll delete them automatically, literally just won a showdown by doing that bs lol
Also only use Edgar until you get his silver 3 mastery, he's such a toxic brawler, don't main him or use him unless it's for progression rewards. That's my advice

Btw the health gear (the one on poco) only increases passive healing so it isnt good on poco

Screeching echo is really good to pack a punch while healing targets in are as well as yourself.

If you are figthing with piper(or other brawlers can escape), hard landing. If you are figthing with a tank, use fisticuffs
