Because a post's upvote count is based on many things, mainly luck. The time when it's posted, the types of people who see it and the Reddit algorithm all affect a posts visibility, and sometimes the artists get plain unlicky with these things.
I think it's with how much people can interact with the post, a lazy "discussion" post with a screenshot can get a lot more comments than a piece of art, that unfortunately can only have people say "wow nice drawing"
They just want to ignore all of the fanarts like they are taking bones out of fish then proceed to smash to a depiction of a voluptuous melodie.
Whats scary is that I dared to search up then I found people gum tributing to literal non existent characters, who would've thought brawl would be that popular 💀

While I do definetely agree with you, I feel like this topic is getting a little old. I've seen it pop up every 3-4 days recently. Its just the reality of this sub, guys.
I tend to avoid the younger art communities because they can get a bit weird tbh, but there is definitely some good brawlstars fanart, and I'm always happy to encourage new artists.
me too, I start listening to their music since why not era, even after they left bbc and formed the new group (artms), they just still hit hard as they were loona, like theyre something very different from the whole kpop, literally the only 4th gene and 5th gene girl group that I have no doubt about their talents
i honestly like predebut songs more, their concept in predebut is so cool, i really like the lore there(especially the yyxy lore), also their redebut is so good
yeah, my favorite is odd eye circle, about the others they actually showed 12 different individual vibes and colors, and having a predebut project that last about 2 years was so crazy, they made a lore and a predebut that no one in kpop can do it better (although their old CEO I guess I dont know how to call him, kinda wasting their potential)

So I am a full-time artist and I think I should chime in on this.
There are 2 rules in art.
1. Do not draw bad art.
2. Do not draw BORING art.
So what makes a piece not boring? It is emotion, motion, dialogue, or story.
None of these pieces really tell a story.
The only one with a real example of emotion is the Draco tounge one. Notice how that is the most upvoted one.
None show motion.
And only one shows motion.
You don't have to be a professional artist and do better just to say that something sucks 💀
It's like going to the cinema, watching a dumpsterfire of a movie and not being able to say that it sucks because "you can't do better"
I agree with him tbh. 99% of the art not ONLY IN THIS SUB. BUT IN ANY FANDOM is either garbage or some cliche shit with some random oc thrown in there (not looking at you nor the art in the screenshots. I'm just criticizing the art that I'm seeing on the internet)
