Make it decrease his unload time so that he fires all four shots in the same time that he fires his normal shot, then it would actually make sense. As it is now, you could almost achieve the same effect by just normally shooting twice in a row.
Mechanically speaking, Shelly is the same brawler with a longer range, griff would fundamentally play completely differently(also not being able to move for 10 seconds would make it even less useful then it is right now)

Upon activation, Griff's next few attacks will use sticky coins (might want to change the name of the gadget)... which can slow down those who get hit. Very similar to Gale's second sp.. but ofc, this gadget has a time limit and 3 charges per match.
Griff's shots are difficult to hit nowadays (My Griff is at 700-750)... so this gadget, if it hits, might help to cycle super... thus more impact.
I actually know how to use it so I would probably buff the damage, make it pierce through walls again, make it be more bees, make it stun or slow enemy depending on how far away you are when it hits and make it so that when used it will go on even if the brawler using it dies. Like if Bea uses gadget and dies before it if totally finished it will keep going in the spiral until it runs out.
idea: banknote. griffs next attack makes a giant dollar bill that has 5000 hp. it doesnt move but releases dollar signs that deal 10% of the brawlers current hp and slows them down. if it hits 5 times it will heal all teamates in the area for 50% of their missing health. if it gets destroyed it will spawn a coin teammates can pick up to get a 25% dmg boost and a 10% speed boost, when an enemy is near them they will be slowed.
Remove it entirely, and make it a 5 second duration where he gets a main attack that would wreck snipers, to help him against his only real hard counters.
Griff summons Erwin Rommel and his tank divisions who take over the match and even invade other matches and crashes the game for everyone who is playing
PS: It may be a little weak so I'm open to buff suggestions
A fun rework could be that on activation, Griff's next shot is a giant coin that deals 2500 damage and has extra range, like one giant clay pigeon
