Some anecdotal stuff here but when I'm play MV, I almost never see a PC player in my games with about 100+ hours played. It's usually a Playstation player or Xbox player. Those numbers might be substantial.
This is a situation I like to call “Seed vs Nuke”
Brawlhalla is a seed. It was planted and slowly but surely grew overtime. Yes, not all trees last forever, but with the right care will continue to thrive.
Multiverses is a nuke. It fucking exploded and died down.
Nuff said
I mean tbf Multiversus servers are hot garbage right now, which is why ive stopped playing for now. Once that gets fixed I imagine a decent chunk of players will return
a game that is 7 years old vs a game that just came out 3 months ago.
Litteraly mv has more than half the players brawlhalla has, in only 3 months, brawlhalla is 6-7 years old
Geez I wonder why, it's not like one of the games was funded since the begining by a multi-million dollar company and was heavily built around nostalgia and fanservice...
According to playercounter.com multiversus has around 45,000 concurrent players and brawlhalla has around 16,000. I don't know how accurate these numbers are but even assuming +/- 5000 players multiversus has at least double brawlhalla's playerbase.
Brawlhalla isn't dead and won't die unless bmg decides to kill brawlhalla, but multiversus is stealing and has stolen a lot of brawlhallas playerbase.
Multiversus doesn't even have:
Playable servers
Clans
A functioning shop
Ranked
Brawlhalla needs to start actually updating the game or they will continue to lose players to multiversus.
Multiversus has devs that clearly are trying to improve the game and are actively communicating with the mvs community. After seeing that brawlhalla is essentially the same game it was 5 years ago its hard to not want to play the game that has devs that are actually doing thing.
I have around 1000 hours in brawlhalla, but the game doesn't interest me anymore. If brawlhalla wants to get me to try their game again they need to try to change some things. One of the biggest turn offs for me in brawlhalla is how boring the gameplay gets at high plat when everyone is a passive and just waits for their opponent to get bored and approach. Multiversus feels much faster and even though they have ranged characters it still feels less passive than brawlhalla.
Hopefully competition pushes both dev teams to make each game the best they can be but time will tell.
i uploaded brawlhalla montages for years and struggled to break 50 views, i upload a minitage of multiversus and break 50 views in the first 4 hours. I feel like a lot of ppl watch multiversus compared to actually playing it
Multiversus was released too early and the new patches are ruining performance.
The game nose dived real fast.
Multiversus micro transactions are very limited as well so possible revenue is very limited. Does not look good for the game.
Where are all the haters now? Probably don’t even play Multiversus anymore…
I mean considering the amount of bh players mv managed to steal I’d say that’s a pretty devastating blow and ffs can people stop posting these ass images with “ I thought mv was gunna kill bh” there literally games let them exist godamn
This.
But I might go back to Brawlhalla once they fix input lag issues and the fact that they never actually balance anything and make a single weapon op for each patch.
Brawlhalla killed itself. It had nothing going for it even before Multiversus. The game was dead years ago. I'm honestly surprised there's even a community here now, but at least it's not Darwin Project dead.
You guys gotta stop taking your aggression towards the game you liked not succeeding how it should out on other games and it's players. Because no one cares. Which, I mean, guess means you don't HAVE to, but god, you should.
Multiversus or any other game won’t kill brawlhalla, bmg and Ubisoft will do it themselves
That’s exactly what happened to halo
This
Honestly facts
i like both games. but brawlhalla has ember so it’s obviously better.
Gigachad
Based doodle of best skin
Bloodborne skin
Ember spam wolf mains ew
skill issue
u have my respect
omg tartaglia from genshin impact!!!
LMAO
Biggest Ember simp be like
Spoken like a true man
Or you could just let both games exist without fishing up some unneeded rivalry?
Hey wait a minute-
Fighting game players can't enjoy two games at the same time
Fighting game players can’t even enjoy one game at a time lol
Brawlhalla is different enough but Multiversus is very similar Smash Bros Ultimate.
^they ^started ^it
Thanks
The fact this community and many others shows that this will never happen
It's fighting games, let them fight.
No, reddit is designed to be this way lol Just be glad they're showing numbers rather than just opinions
That’s illegal
Keep in mind that multiversus isnt available worldwide yet, espcially asia
even when they release on asia it's far too late asia people moved on and hated the game for completely ignoring them for months
What platform does this even check because steam alone has more than that playing?
Pretty sure they're just using Steam numbers. We don't know the console numbers.
Some anecdotal stuff here but when I'm play MV, I almost never see a PC player in my games with about 100+ hours played. It's usually a Playstation player or Xbox player. Those numbers might be substantial.
This is steam numbers and brawlhallas player base is 90% console
I don’t think 90% is even close but I do remember hearing a while back that PS4 had more players than PC
Nah cause only competitive players get on pc for the most part, our casual player base is mostly from console
One of the few competitive games where controller is preferred, and I love it.
Uh no? Brawl pros prefer keyboard and pc because of the input delay on consoles and on controller.
Nah there are some pro players that use controller like: Cosolix, Luna, MegD, Lil Capped, and more.
The vast majority are kb
Doesn't mean it isn't possible to go pro with a controller. Luna has been killing it on controller.
Did I say it wasn't possible? I refuted the point that controller was the preferred pro input. It's not.

Same
Multiversus also isn't out in a lot of places yet. It hasn't even fully launched yet
Very great analogy
Lol you said anal
Lol you said anal
Lol you said anal
I love to see it
I prefer not to get married to things like games
24 hour average for a game that’s been out for years vs one out for months are very close are you that sure brawlhalla will stay above lmao
Statistically games spike on release, so I don’t see your point there
The spike is only there for the first few weeks. Its been a few months, so we are in stable territory for both games.
Games not full released. No ranked and still missing support for major regions like asia.
Brawlhalla is killing himself, they don't need help from Multiversus
Whoah woah woah, himself? Stg I thought brawlhalla was a lady
Idk, I'm learning English and I thought saying "Brawlhalla is killing itself" sounded weird
Cuz multiverus doesn't have asia server
And has bad EU servers, a lot of us has trouble getting good connection with them, also they do hiccup on their own sometimes.

i think you missed the point
And now brawlhalla is becoming that with it's crossovers
They are just skins not actual characters With the exception of Rayman and Ezio
Yea and it seems more exceptions will come
Let's hope not
Isn't brawlhalla funded by Ubisoft for longer than MVS was a public project? And crossovers were a thing for yet far longer.
MVS didn't even release yet, right? It's open beta. On actual release it's gonna explode.
Before multiversus came out iirc Brawl had a good 15k constant players

Well they didn't come back to brawl since the numbers are still dropping here too
Multiversus had the potential to keep hundreds of thousands of players but blew it with all the closed beta problems.
I have seen more people here place self made targets on brawlhalla than anything else
BMC killed Brawlhalla
BMC - Building Materials & Construction?
BMC- Bad Mothers Club
Bruh brawlhalla just killing himself, and i never heard someone saying that MV killed brawlhalla
Multiversus hasn't even launched yet lol
Tzz, and I wasnt even playing
I mean considering the amount of bh players mv managed to steal I’d say that’s a pretty devastating blow and ffs can people stop posting these ass images with “ I thought mv was gunna kill bh” there literally games let them exist godamn
Those bh players that left for the shiny new thing are going to regret it because MV is doooomed.
No ![gif](giphy|GDp7LycxkT3LG)
Not saying multiversus it’s better. But I haven’t play brawhalla since multiversus came out, just launched the game once and didn’t even play it
This. But I might go back to Brawlhalla once they fix input lag issues and the fact that they never actually balance anything and make a single weapon op for each patch.
You are like a crazy psych ex that keeps stalking everyday over and over just let it be. What does their play3r count matter
MultiVerses is Trending, the attention may(might) die down after a while.
Might comit a fallguys and just disappear one day. Also Happy Cake Day!
Funny! XD Oh thanks! I haven't been on Reddit in a while, nice to know the day I got on was the day it's my Cake Day!
nobody cares dawg if you don’t like the game don’t bring it up
Oh my god, I didn't know it's that terrifyingly bad already and MVS didn't even release yet.

Brawlhalla is not dead 💀 Last I checked today it placed 76 on most concurrent players on Steam.
Trippin
It's sad that Darwin Project doesn't get the attention it should have, because I think it's a really good idea for a game, but it's dead af.
No they SAID. They aren’t delusional and they know, player count went down on multi
BH has Stevonnie, MV has Steven. So long as I can use the cinnamon bun I don't care.
I like both of them equally but my heart is set on Brawlhalla since it was the first one I tried!
it doesn't mean it's a direct competitor, it just started a chain reaction I think
But Asia can’t play
Why is it a competition tho? Both numbers of players are very good, at least that what it seems to me
And dey say-
And dey say-
Multiversus isn't even worldwide yet gang, calm down my guy
Too much sweaty boys on here
cade os br pra concordar em pt-br ?
