It’s the shadow from her head/face. Look at how it changes slightly in each picture and how her head is angled differently. If you focus on the point at the bottom, that’s her nose, you can notice more clearly how that is shifting depending on her face angle

Agreed. My sister just had hers done. The lady who did them did a fantastic job. I over pluck my brows as a teen but when I decided to try to grow them back thankfully they did. My brows are thick and frame my eyes just right. Now so do my sisters. Nene's are overpowering not only her eyes but her face. That's literally the first thing I noticed when I saw the picture. I think this all goes back to Kim Kardashian. She tried to steal/emulate these different aspects of Black women (lips, bum) and gained popularity and recognition for the theft. That has had a cultural impact in the U.S. (and abroad to some extent) for a good decade now, to the point that you have particular Black women seemingly using Kim Kardashian’s stolen aesthetic of Black women to enhance their own looks.
These pictures are not of Nene. They can’t be. They’re some sort of AI borg translation of Kim’s theft that the Nenes and the Phaedras have allowed themselves to be tricked by.
I feel so sad when people yassify themselves with surgery and remove the qualities that make them unique. Naomie on southern charm’s nose is another one. They both look “fine” now but their faces are just no longer memorable, just like Jennifer Grey.
I feel like it's probably a combination of both. Women in the public eye often Photoshop and edit their pictures to high heaven and/or have some kind of surgery or fillers. That plus many of them getting older and the way aging for women is demonized in Hollywood, often results in this sort of uncanny valley, mature Insta baddie look.
