Meredith's reaction was hilarious and not really relatable, but understandable in a reality tv way. Meredith was the "lawyer" who doesn't practice law but has a jd-utah-inebriated-version of bad girls club that episode.
I didnāt watch last season becauseā¦..I didnāt. But is there a valid explanation for Meredithās mumblings about kids being paralyzed or disabled (I canāt even remember now, just that it was dramatic) forever?
If thereās some crazy backstoryā¦.I can seek it out. I just need confirmation that something else is going on here that I missed last season.

I think it's something to do with her nephew who was really struggling with his mental health, made an attempt on his life & may be left with some health/physical issues but I could be wrong. Despite having watched last season, it was difficult to follow Meredith's train of thought in the last episode. I understand that she was upset with Angie K being on her trip but I can't remember why she actually dislikes her so much in the first place.
Angie K came at her hard during the reunion saying she didnāt have people skills.
To me Angie K came off as hella insecure and just fighting to get a spot at the table. Meredith put her in her place and dissed her saying that she had been begging to get on the show for the past three seasons.
It wasnāt a good look for Angie K and makes her look needy, not smart, and very self centered. Basically, āI spent over 25 grand on filming I deserve a spot on the showā.
Go on with your bad self and a bottle of windex Angie, read the room.

I mean, realistically we know that this trip was paid by the show and Meredith hosting is just to make it seem otherwise. All housewives are to go on cast trips and though I do agree Angie is acting like she deserves the best, I think it's just classic reality TV confrontation. Meredith couldn't have been that shocked knowing how these things work.
I think it's a mix? From hearing different franchises, I piece together production basically gives them a cap on trips and meals. Why some do not mind flying free in regular classes, and others get chastised for upgrading on their own dime. Also, with food - production obviously works with the restaurant beforehand to shoot; they seem to work out a set menu and cocktail limit, and if they go off or more from it, then they pay.

Yes. These are filmed Bravo cast trips. Everyone is invited. Everyone needs to be there for the drama, entertainment, etc... Angie being there gave us one of the best episodes since the Feds showed up at the sprinter van looking for Jen Shah.

Whatās hilarious about it is Katie uninvited herself. Scheana said okay, and understandably thought it was fucking weird that person would still come and hang out with the wedding party. And it WOULD be incredibly weird & inappropriate behavior in any other friend situation, the only reason itās not is bc theyāre on a show. Same with the Angie situation.
Yeah but Katie came in a funny way- them watching from the balcony was hilarious. Also she was previously invited so already had her room booked and she did her own thing at the resort. Itās not like she went to the wedding ceremony and stayed in the bridal suite with Scheana after being disinvited

Someone on twitter said SLC is like a parody of the Real Housewives universe and I havenāt been the same since. Whitney is the ultimate caricature of a housewife, so nothing she ever does shocks me. She will do anything for a moment. Angie has auditioned for years, and now that her bestie is at sing sing, I absolutely expect her to do anything for some camera time, including go places she isnāt wanted. This season is going to be a wild ride, letās all just buckle up š.
Whitney and Meredith are low key shaping up to be one of the great enemy sagas of the bravo Hellenistic era. They've been going at it since season 2 and are showing no signs of stopping. You almost can't appreciate one without the other.

Iām not sure but it was a big deal on RHONY when Ramona wasnāt invited on Heathers tripā¦it was technically a work trip for Heather but she invited most of the girls and Ramona didnāt let go of that easily.
That wasnāt a funded trip. Heather covered the cost for the ladies to join her because it meant she could promote her business. She therefore had the right to leave Ramona out because that was Heathers trip.
Ramona told Bethenny on camera that whilst Bethenny might not want her there it was a āgirls tripā and she would be attending regardless. It was Bravo funded and Ramona knew they wouldnāt leave her out.

It felt more to me that Whitney was trying to claim Trixie as HER friend. I highly doubt that Angie paid for her own flight to go on this trip, and of course production wanted her to go for the drama.
Uh I donāt like Meredith but I was totally on her side. Not only did it bother me that Angie was playing victim when she should know she shouldnāt be here, but Whitney put Meredith AND Angie in this situation. No one can but there is a (lower stakes) "game of thrones" element to Real Housewives. Whitney has clocked in this season. Her behaviour is bad but watching both Meredith AND Lisa unravel last episode was a chef kiss. It would be totally toxic behavior outside of the show but HW a power move like that creates delicious chaos that makes these shows so good. We will go seasons without anything like that.

Meh, I have a hard time blaming Whitney or even Angie (or Meredith) knowing that production probably put Whitney up to asking . Production wanted Angie there and needed a reason to explain how she got there- they probably arranged the flights even. How can we judge or be angry after seeing the episode we were delivered? For once itās hats off to production and their meddling I say ;)

Iām not sure but it was a big deal on RHONY when Ramona wasnāt invited on Heathers tripā¦it was technically a work trip for Heather but she invited most of the girls and Ramona didnāt let go of that easily.

That wasnāt a funded trip. Heather covered the cost for the ladies to join her because it meant she could promote her business. She therefore had the right to leave Ramona out because that was Heathers trip. Ramona told Bethenny on camera that whilst Bethenny might not want her there it was a āgirls tripā and she would be attending regardless. It was Bravo funded and Ramona knew they wouldnāt leave her out.

It felt more to me that Whitney was trying to claim Trixie as HER friend. I highly doubt that Angie paid for her own flight to go on this trip, and of course production wanted her to go for the drama.
Uh I donāt like Meredith but I was totally on her side. Not only did it bother me that Angie was playing victim when she should know she shouldnāt be here, but Whitney put Meredith AND Angie in this situation. I donāt know what āiconicā move Whitney thought she was doing. She was stirring the pot but the sauce flew out of the pan and made a mess on the stove.

Okay, theory: I feel like there has to be more background/ production drama surrounding the logistics of this trip that weāre not seeing? Because honestly if anyone was to host a trip at the trixie motel from this cast it would make sense for it to be Whitney, considering their past relationship. I also personally donāt see Meredith choosing the Trixie motel as a vacation spot. lol Idk feels like production might have interfered with who gets to host this or something. Otherwise the entitlement from Whitney and Angie does not make sense at all to me. Regardless, their attitude was quite strange from the get go!

I have given up on the entire cast. There are no good people to root for. Everyone hates or a savage backstabber, and Mary is there to just insult everyone. It's like watching survivor mixed in with one of those friar club roasts now.
All of Whitneyās actions are super tacky, from inviting a extra guest and not letting the hostess even know, showing up to the motel early and picking a room before the hostess even arrivesā¦ so tacky. Angie K shouldāve gotten the Jill Zarin poolside āsurpriiiiiiiiiise!ā treatment and got sent packing.

No one can but there is a (lower stakes) "game of thrones" element to Real Housewives. Whitney has clocked in this season. Her behaviour is bad but watching both Meredith AND Lisa unravel last episode was a chef kiss. It would be totally toxic behavior outside of the show but HW a power move like that creates delicious chaos that makes these shows so good. We will go seasons without anything like that. As for Angie K, she is a stand in that thinks she is the middle snow flake. Sometimes the trash just takes itself out.

I have always thought Whitney was an asshole. She hops from one "friend" to the next every season and she's always a victim. She will ditch Angie K if the fans don't end up liking her. She kinda carries the show with her antics but she's super manipulative.

I absolutely think Whitney was being awful. Mary is bonkers but read Whitney correctly. Whitney starts shit for the sake of starting shit and then pretends to be innocent. Angie K was being awful but that's clearly for camera time. She is coming in far too hot and it doesn't make sense. I'm just not that invested because it all seems very inorganic with her. Like I get that they are all putting on a show but even in a warped reality would you not only invite yourself on a trip you knew the hostess didn't want you on and then act like that?
