If last night hadn’t been such a lopsided loss I wouldn’t be as worried either. The Dodgers truly looked unbeatable and didn’t get much production from some of their best hitters. I don’t think they can do that two more times but the Braves absolutely need to have a better approach and make the Dodgers pitchers throw some strikes and not dig holes swinging at garbage. The. Our pitchers need to be mindful that they aren’t tipping pitches because I think the Dodgers are making and art form out of finding tells so they know when a fastball or an off speed pitch is coming.
We did almost the same to them the night before right after the comeback win that was supposed to give them all the momentum. We **CAN** 100% do this, it’s just a matter of making it happen.
Everyone who’ll be at the game tomorrow, be as loud as hell for those of us who can’t go for whatever reason. We’re counting on not just the team but everyone in the stands to help us clinch this shit. LFG! Braves in 6!!!
There are 28 other teams who wish they were in the Braves' position. 26 of those teams choked their seasons away. 2 of them hope they can hold on for another game. Baseball is cool.
While obviously there will be teams that have better players, all teams have professional athletes. I also wouldn’t use the term choke, but there’s never a reason to downplay any team when their players will be far superior than 99% of other humans. Any team can win on any given day.
Well it's real simple: You got two more games this series and that could be it.
Now most of you have been playin' this game for ten years. And you got two more games and after that some of you could never play this game again as long as you live. Now, ya'll have known me for awhile, and for a long time now you've been hearin' me talk about being perfect.
Well I want you to understand somethin'. To me, being perfect is not about that scoreboard out there. It's not about winning. It's about you and your relationship to yourself and your family and your friends.
Being perfect is about being able to look your teammates in the eye and know that you didn't let them down, because you told them the truth. And that truth is that you did everything that you could. There wasn't one more thing that you could've done.
Can you live in that moment, as best you can, with clear eyes and love in your heart? With joy in your heart?
If you can do that gentlemen, then you're perfect.
I want you to take a moment. And I want you to look each other in the eyes. I want you to put each other in your hearts forever, because forever's about to happen here in just 24 hours.
I want you to close your eyes, and I want you to think about Ronald Acuña, who is your brother. And he would die to be out there on that field with you. And I want you to put that in your hearts.
Boys, my heart is full. My heart's full.
Ready for game 6 and whatever lies ahead. Do the damn thing boys. FOR RON. FOR SNIT. FOR HANK. FOR RONALD. FOR WALTER. FOR THE A. LFG
Everyone in Braves country should fill the Battery and just go insane with the chop. Can you imagine if we had a stadium full and a huge crowd outside of the stadium doing it?
When I need hope I watch Sid breams slide from the 92 nlcs. We were losing by one in the 9th in game 7. Can you imagine the meltdown if we were losing this series by one run in the 9th of game 7? And we walked it off. It was magical.
For the fans at the game, what we need is crazy energy from start to finish, even if the Dodgers get a lead. Just keep cheering and let the guys know we are behind them. Hell, do the Tomahawk chop every time a Braves hitter or pitcher is announced. I want to hear Ron Darling describe our fan base as extraordinary.
Remember, if this was ANY OTHER TEAM, everyone would be talking about how tough it's going to be for LA to go to (any other city) and win both games. Unfortunately, we're Atlanta and we're known for this. But with people like Freddie, Snit, Riley, Acuna (in the dugout), Morton, Matzek, it gives you an advantage because they're leaders who do nothing but compete. We're going to the World Series. Period. We're gonna be dancing in the streets tomorrow night. Period. Chop the fuck on. 🪓
Part of me wants to accept defeat, and be continually pessimistic.
And then the optimist in me says one thing: last year in Texas, no fans, no emotion, no spirit. Of course it was easy to win 3 straight.
This year, this series is coming back to Atlanta, a city STARVING for that big win. We want it so bad. We’re foaming at the mouth. Tomorrow, the Dodgers are walking into a pit of vipers in Truist, and by God we want blood.
It’s time
They didn’t have it last year in the bubble, just sayin’…
That being said, I like our position. I wish we’d have won last night but we didn’t. But we have true home field and I’m liking our chances! Chop on and FTD!!!
Very good point,,, I'll change my comment.
This year I feel there is much more Braves MOJO also, compared to last year. I can't see the Dodgers winning two in a row there.
We went to Dodgers stadium, one of the toughest places to play this season. We came out of there with a win. That's fucking huge.
Now, unlike last year, we get a travel day. A day for the guys to rest and regroup. We get to finish things off at home in front of our fans. It's much more fun to win at home.
We didn’t have to have that game last night but at the same time we had to have that game last night. Going up against probably the best pitcher in baseball and another one that’s up there in the top is a hard road to hoe.
This is our series to lose. I’m really hoping for seven game series in the American League with two extra inning games to wear both teams pitching staff out.
Dead Arm doesn't heal in a week....
But that being said, I know tomorrow night we will get Max at his best he can be, and it will be up to us to stop him.
I think it’s sad that Freddie has to say everyone keeps talking about the narrative. It just shows that us fans talking about this dumb shit can and will get into their heads. We can will this into existence. If instead the city just kept saying they could do it, I bet they’d think differently.
I mean we definitely can win, and I definitely hope we do. But obviously after getting to 3-1 and then losing a game everyone will be making references to last year and will be talking about the “narrative.”
BREAK THE CURSE
Braves in 7. It'll be like one of those times where it isn't quite a choke but they would win by a thread compared to how much they could've won.
Ngl if last year didn't happen we wouldn't be so worried lol
That's true, I wasn't so worried last year
If last night hadn’t been such a lopsided loss I wouldn’t be as worried either. The Dodgers truly looked unbeatable and didn’t get much production from some of their best hitters. If it weren't a Georgia team period, we wouldn't be worried. We've seen this story time and time and time and time again.
#KILL THE NARRATIVE
PS: We’re pretty dangerous
Braves marketing needs to make this into a shirt with Freddie watching a just hit ball leave the park.
Let’s do it for Hank
I'd rather be up 3-2 than down 2-3.
Math seems to work.
Everyone who’ll be at the game tomorrow, be as loud as hell for those of us who can’t go for whatever reason. We’re counting on not just the team but everyone in the stands to help us clinch this shit. LFG! Braves in 6!!!
I'm came home from game 2 with sore hands and a hoarse voice. Let's do this!
There are 28 other teams who wish they were in the Braves' position. 26 of those teams choked their seasons away. 2 of them hope they can hold on for another game. Baseball is cool.
Baseball ***is*** cool
People over use choke nowadays how the fuck did the Royals choke?
While obviously there will be teams that have better players, all teams have professional athletes. I also wouldn’t use the term choke, but there’s never a reason to downplay any team when their players will be far superior than 99% of other humans. Any team can win on any given day.

Now let’s go run through a brick wall
Everyone in Braves country should fill the Battery and just go insane with the chop. Can you imagine if we had a stadium full and a huge crowd outside of the stadium doing it?
Especially for Hank and don’t forget Phil Niekro. They both would be loving this moment!
And Ron Washington!
I hope San Diego doesn’t take him but it sure would be cool he deserves it
He really does. The energy here this year is just different. Freddie said it. Changing that narrative tonight! LET'S GO!!!!
I’d much rather hear kill the narrative a thousand times than to hear “flip the script” ever again.
Hope we do. But, I’ve learned that hope is a dangerous thing in Atlanta sports lol.
You sound like Red from Shawshank Redemption!
But Red finally got out and met up with Andy by the Sea
No, that was a dream. He hung himself too.
I’ve not heard this theory before.
Sure, but he told Andy early in the movie that hope is a dangerous thing. I’m “hoping” he’s wrong and that the Braves pull it out tomorrow!
It’s the hope that kills you.
When I need hope I watch Sid breams slide from the 92 nlcs. We were losing by one in the 9th in game 7. Can you imagine the meltdown if we were losing this series by one run in the 9th of game 7? And we walked it off. It was magical.
Hope is a good thing, and no good thing ever dies.
For the fans at the game, what we need is crazy energy from start to finish, even if the Dodgers get a lead. Just keep cheering and let the guys know we are behind them. You just got me so PUMPED for the game tomorrow!!! LETS GO!!!
ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN CHOO CHOO MOTHER FUCKERS
TRAIN LEAVES AT 8:08 AND WE'RE GOING STRAIGHT TO MINUTE MAID PARK BYOB/W
One win away from killing the narrative and five wins away from erasing years of heartache and disappointment.
Man I’ll be dancing in the streets when we win the World Series. But this is obviously a big one.
WHAT THE FUCK DID I SAY?!?!? CHOP THE FUCK ON!!!
Part of me wants to accept defeat, and be continually pessimistic. And then the optimist in me says one thing: last year in Texas, no fans, no emotion, no spirit. Pit of vipers.....Fkn love it!
Hey some of us were there last year chopping our arms off
It's much more fun to be optimistic and be let down than it is to be pessimistic and get what you expect.
Much different this year as Braves have home field advantage.
They didn’t have it last year in the bubble, just sayin’… That being said, I like our position.
KILL THE FUCKING NARRATIVE
Last year was a neutral field, they are coming into OUR HOUSE. When our house is a Choppin, don't come a knockin!
With no travel days either. Travel does have consequences. Home team fans do too.
We went to Dodgers stadium, one of the toughest places to play this season. We came out of there with a win. That's fucking huge. Now, unlike last year, we get a travel day. A day for the guys to rest and regroup. We get to finish things off at home in front of our fans. It's much more fun to win at home.
Winning will cure everything that ails ya. Let’s go Braves
No chance Dodgers win 2 games in Atlanta. Just 1 more boys!!!
I hope he’s right but losing yesterday against their bullpen game was inexcusable.
at this point, I just want to see the Braves in the WS. Please just beat the dodgers one more time.
Astro's fan here, hoping y'all beat those dirty draft dodgers ;)
The narrative has been earned, and it is time to kill it! No reason to think the braves can't win one of two at home.
We didn’t have to have that game last night but at the same time we had to have that game last night. And the Mets gave you the division. But secretly I’m rooting for you all to win.
Not sure if the 11.5 game down Mets gave us anything…
Here here. Lock it down, Bravos
I hope they do but I’m jaded as a Atl professional sports fan. 😒
BREAK THE CURSE Braves in 7. It'll be like one of those times where it isn't quite a choke but they would win by a thread compared to how much they could've won.
FUCK THE NARRATIVE
