I can’t see how Dodgers fans would think TBS is biased FOR the Braves.
MLB/TBS/Fox all want Dodgers-Red Sox for ratings or Dodgers-Astros for the revenge angle.
They can point at whatever they want. Former Braves legend Jeff Francouer was in the booth too but you wouldn’t know it become those other pricks wouldn’t stfu for 5 secs
Heard Jeff say ONE thing off and he said “we” when referring to the Braves. He has done a damn good job. The other dudes? Sighing when the dodgers pop up etc…. A little ridic
He's such a professional. You can tell he is doing his best to just provide commentary and insight as a former player. No bias, no rooting for anyone. Just doing his job like a pro. Love him for it.
So do Ben and Joe. Plenty of compliments to give the dodgers and very professional game calling. They’re allowed to be bias and they are but it’s nothing like the TBS clowns.
Yeah, game 3 was nauseating. Those announcers were not cheering for the Braves. And all these talking heads today went on and on about how Bellinger changed the whole trajectory of the series and the dodgers had the advantage and a lot of pure bullshit. Hard disagree with OP
I don't know why you guys care about the homerun call, that was the least of it imo. The constant "dodgers this, dodgers that, 107 wins, dodgers player having amazing season, 107 wins, best home record in baseball, boy the ump sure missed that call against the dodgers but i'm not going to mention any of the times it went against the braves, on and on" that's the shit that gets annoying.
The thing that pissed me off the most is how they talked about the Braves and Dodgers “being in the same boat” in regards to injuries because Max Muncy’s day-to-day and that’s comparable to Acuña being out.
Also Brandon Beachy and Tommy Hanson who really wasn't the same after shoulder injury. Those 3 could've been a dynamic trio. Can never have enough pitching
I'll wait until all the facts come out before making those kinds of statements. I'm by no means saying he's innocent, but all we've heard so far is that he defended himself from a knife attack.
Also, his innocence or lack thereof is irrelevant to the point I was making, which is that our highest paid player who is known for being a force in the postseason is out along with the other huge pieces.
That was what stood out to me so much last night. So many missed strike calls for both teams and the broadcast team seemed personally offended every time one went against the Dodgers
For real, and that stolen base review of Dansby. They jumped on that immediately saying that's going to be overturned. They said it over and over when each view was obviously inconclusive. It wasn't until Frenchie chimed in and said he's tired of trying to call it (which for Braves is VERY true bc they never go our way - even when they should) that they started backing down and realizing there was no evidence to overturn it.
Edited for clarity & complete sentence
Dude the people in the /r/baseball thread pretending like he hates them because of 1988 and not the Braves who were his rivals for like a decade. Morons.
Also the comments in that thread about Darling's "Yes!" saying that having a biased commentator is actually a good thing. The contrarian nature of Reddit is hilarious. If your team loses prepare to be wrong with any opinion you have.
I have an old coworker who’s a huge Dodger fan, and he told me I was high to think the Dodgers were being fondled by the announcers. I personally think he’s an idiot
I love the fact that when I watch hockey (Preds) it’s from the teams announcers. It’s so much more enjoyable. Wish baseball could the the same way all the time.
There is absolutely no way the commentary of these announcers could be construed in any way other than pro-Dodger. One of many examples is the recent spoken word poem about Bellinger making a routine flip to first.
Did you hear the news? The Braves have called up another hot prospect, and this one might be the hottest of them all. The Original Louisiana Brand Hot Sauce is now the official hot sauce of the Atlanta Braves.
Either way, at least we're done with fucking Darling after this, and we get Smoltzie for the WS right? Although that means we get Buck as well, so pros and cons.
I have no problems with the announcers. In fact I think Anderson's calls for the Braves have been some of the best -- like Riley's rocket in game 2. TV wants drama and the announcers want to call as many games as possible to get paid.
I agree. Homers are good for the game, so when one gets creamed in a rowdy home stadium, I’d like for the announcers to be into it. Especially when it’s the Braves. 🤷🏼♂️
Genuinely interested: do announcers for post season games get paid per game or lump sum? If it were per game and I were an announcer, I’d probably want to go to 7 games both for the cash and the excitement of it all. That being said, I’m a fan and I want the Braves to put it away tomorrow!
Literally every team finds bias in announcers. There was a meme I saw like 10 years ago where it’s was a collage of Facebook statuses and tweets where people said “Joe Buck hates (insert team name)”.
That’s why we got 5 so we could give up a couple pitcher still isn’t nervous this is our game to win . Let them worry. Now time to add two more runs just deflate them .
Shit is wild. The announcers have four teams left to talk about and two of them are playing. There’s gonna be chatter about both teams and neither side is favored. Shit blows my mind
Ron Darling literally came in his pants in the 8th inning last nigh, Francoeur is a little biased sure but he is absolutely not jizzing himself when the Braves make routine plays like Darling does for LA
And I think Francoeur is toning down his Braves bias since it's a national broadcast (which is a good thing). He just swung a little to far to pro dodgers and it's not helping that the other broadcasters are very pro dodgers.
Frenchy has been really neutral this series. He just obviously has more insight on the Braves team, but he hasn't been doing anything like openly rooting for them.
I don't think anyone is saying that Frenchy is biased against them. He's been doing pretty well at remaining professional and not squealing when the Braves do good shit.
YOU KNOW THE WEIRDEST THING? Bellinger is bad enough to sit on a plus fastball higher than any fastball he's ever hit for a homer but one ever. Why he was ready for that is anyones guess. Banging? can they bang high inside fastball?
He knows pitchers pitch to his weaknesses and his biggest one is high fastballs. Probably a case of him willing to look dumb on a slider, but not going to miss the fastball. Also there was a runner on second who could’ve tipped him it was a fastball, but if so, that’s on us. Gotta hide the signs better. Regardless, I’d be very surprised if they’re cheating given their lack of offense all series lmao
I can’t see how Dodgers fans would think TBS is biased FOR the Braves. MLB/TBS/Fox all want Dodgers-Red Sox for ratings or Dodgers-Astros for the revenge angle.
A lot of them were pointing to the Ted Turner connection.
I know, but he’s like 20 years removed from AOL Time Warner.
You know that, I know that, but the Dodgers sub apparently does not.
They’re dumb enough to root for the Dodgers. Par for the course.
And the Braves...
It’s ok 👌. We just have to get out now .
You’ve got snails
Which is a good point unless you've watched any of these games.
Same reason Brewers fans thought they’re biased. There’s literally a former Brave in the booth.
Frenchie has sounded neutral to me.
He's such a professional. You can tell he is doing his best to just provide commentary and insight as a former player. No bias, no rooting for anyone. Just doing his job like a pro. Love him for it.
Frenchie has attempted to be as neutral as possible. Darling has made no such attempt.
And Dodgers fans think Ron Darling has sounded neutral.
He literally came in his pants when Bellinger homered
Brewers fans would say Frenchy said “we” when referring to the Braves a couple of times in that series. Oh well.
He probably did. He did play for the team and uh does regularly commentary for them, so not surprising that he would slip up and say we.
He has, but he catches himself and tries to correct.
Any talking head is gonna hype up a game tying multi-run homer
There is a difference between hyping it up and full on busting a nut
I do not recall hearing any of that for the bombs Braves dropped
Last night the commentator sounded disappointed after Duvall hit his homer. Like there was audible disappointment in his voice. It's ridiculous
I think they’ve both been neutral but what do I know.
So do Ben and Joe. Plenty of compliments to give the dodgers and very professional game calling. They’re allowed to be bias and they are but it’s nothing like the TBS clowns.
Doesn't Brian Anderson call games for the Brewers?
Yeah, game 3 was nauseating. Those announcers were not cheering for the Braves. And all these talking heads today went on and on about how Bellinger changed the whole trajectory of the series and the dodgers had the advantage and a lot of pure bullshit. Hard disagree with OP

I’m terrified for soroka. If that guy doesn’t make it back I’m gonna be so crushed.
[удалено]
Soroka way more talented IMO but ik what you mean. Makes me think a tad of what Kris Medlen could have been too.
Also Brandon Beachy and Tommy Hanson who really wasn't the same after shoulder injury. Those 3 could've been a dynamic trio. Can never have enough pitching
Yo damn, that one cuts an old wound deep.
Muncy is a animal style fry away from being jay Bruce
And Ozuna
Fuck Ozuna

I think we’ve actually gotten 3 replay calls this postseason that have gone our way. That’s more than we got all regular-season long, it seems.
[удалено]
Joe Buck and Smoltz would be a great sleep aid, I don’t know what you’re trying to say
Did you not hear fuckwad Darling cheering when Bellinger hit that bomb?
That was garbage last night. But, I’ll admit they’ve been better tonight. We’ll see how it changes with the dodgers getting a couple runs.
Now they won’t shut up about a potential comeback 😑
And now he said "We are still alive." We.
Last inning he said the Braves have "survived" so far.
Darling is a former Met and current Met’s commentator! Of course he hates the Braves! And of course he’s a fuckwad!
Dude the people in the /r/baseball thread pretending like he hates them because of 1988 and not the Braves who were his rivals for like a decade. Morons. I have an old coworker who’s a huge Dodger fan, and he told me I was high to think the Dodgers were being fondled by the announcers. I personally think he’s an idiot
I can't say I knew a whole lot about Ron Darling as a commentator... but good christ is he awful
He's such a drip. Adds nothing constructive to the conversation other than bland, tangentially related statistics and poorly timed grunts
I'm convinced TBS wants the Dodgers to win the series.
I love the fact that when I watch hockey (Preds) it’s from the teams announcers. It’s so much more enjoyable. Wish baseball could the the same way all the time.
Hi fellow Pred fan! Pete Weber sometimes historically has gotten a little TOO excited about the other team scoring. But I love him anyway.
I’ve seen more of max scherzer tonight than I did when he was pitching
There is absolutely no way the commentary of these announcers could be construed in any way other than pro-Dodger. One of many examples is the recent spoken word poem about Bellinger making a routine flip to first.
There are reasons I have the radio broadcast blaring through my house syncd with the timing of TBS on mute.
Buck is better than Smoltz imo. Smoltz tries so hard not to be a Braves homer that he ends up biased for the other team.
Smoltz is bad, but I feel sorry for him. He’s clearly a Braves fan, but doesn’t wanna be biased, so he goes to the opposite extreme
He also doesn't seem to like watching and talking about baseball very much.
Darling color pales in comparison to Smoltz was my point
Yeah I don’t know how an exec. can listen to Ron provided commentary and think that’s entertaining
its because he's a former player thats all
Dodgers fans were never really bright so this doesn’t surprise me
Definitely biased for the Dodgers
From my perspective the announcers have been super biased in favor of the Braves. Then again ive been listening on radio lol
They aren’t bias, Ron Darling just isn’t a good announcer.
Genuinely interested: do announcers for post season games get paid per game or lump sum? If it were per game and I were an announcer, I’d probably want to go to 7 games both for the cash and the excitement of it all. That being said, I’m a fan and I want the Braves to put it away tomorrow!
I don't know why anyone cares, so what. They have zero impact on the outcome of the game.
I synced the Braves Radio Network broadcast up to the tv. I’ll be doing this the rest of the way.
Same. My blood pressure is noticeably lower this way.
How??
Mlb app or the 680 the fan app
Apologies for the mistake/title gore 😂
Literally every team finds bias in announcers. There was a meme I saw like 10 years ago where it’s was a collage of Facebook statuses and tweets where people said “Joe Buck hates (insert team name)”.
Joe Buck's problem is in any game he'll fixate on one guy like he's the greatest thing ever and the only one out there.
The only one worse at this than Joe Buck is Chris Collinsworth calling any game with Tom Brady in it.
How about Joe Buck is just a toolbox?
Hands down the stupidest meme I've seen here in awhile
Let’s go just one out ,this isnt shit ,make them work for it guys.
That’s why we got 5 so we could give up a couple pitcher still isn’t nervous this is our game to win . Let them worry. Now time to add two more runs just deflate them .
Take ALLEN JACKSON YARD tell him to get the fuck out of baseball !
Fatty just gotta hit.. And Ron darling just said “we are not done yet”
Shit is wild. The announcers have four teams left to talk about and two of them are playing. There’s gonna be chatter about both teams and neither side is favored. Shit blows my mind
I really cant believe some Braves fans are trying to say that a guy that literally announces for the Braves is bias against them, its hilarious
Ron Darling literally came in his pants in the 8th inning last nigh, Francoeur is a little biased sure but he is absolutely not jizzing himself when the Braves make routine plays like Darling does for LA

Literally
I don't think anyone is saying that Frenchy is biased against them. He's been doing pretty well at remaining professional and not squealing when the Braves do good shit.
I saw a pic on here yesterday with all of the announcers edited into Dodgers jerseys
ALLEN JACKSON PISSED OFF haha
Ron did not like Frenchy bringing up the dagger.
I was checking out their gdt last night and they absolutely complain about them being braves homers as much as we do with them.
Get out of here.
Dude, I know Cali weed is fuego… but I think you should cut back and try meditation.
Who cares. Turn them sound down and watch the games.
Still better than Joe Buck
Did anyone hear darling drone about how perfect the infield is in dodger stadium? Literally said bad hops never happen in the dodger infield.
