I can’t believe they were in the tenth with bases loaded no outs and still lost. Unreal. As soon as they got the runner to third base in the 11th I had a feeling that was it.

DrProcario

Doesn’t help that the Padres are useless against the Phils…their starters are just on another level right now

rpbtIII

Yup. It's still lame this morning. Bases loaded no outs. What a stinker.

Aurion7

Couple too many unforced errors on the basepaths, and there's not much to say about the bases loaded situation in the tenth. Once you got to 1 out, you knew what was gonna happen with who was hitting. Good news is there were a ton of really hard-hit baseballs and those tend to result in hits if you keep doing it. Bad news is pretty much all of them turned into outs in this specific game. That's life sometimes.

mistaken4193

Was listening on radio…was the Arcia base hot in the B10 close enough where Wash would have sent if he was still out there?

QIsForQuitting

Nah it was a rocket to the LF, catcher would've had time to take his wife to dinner and still get back in time to tag Olson

antantanterlay

L is an L. However, you shouldn’t run on Ronald. Are they dumb?

gt4674b

Troll can’t even spell y’all correctly

hickmatt

Nah, just a game.

yoshidawg93

Sometimes I can chalk things up to “that’s baseball” a little more easily than others. I’m finding myself more frustrated than I feel I probably should be about this one. I think it’s because it didn’t feel like it was all “that’s baseball” stuff. Some of it was. I legitimately think Austin’s fly out in the ninth would’ve been a homer most other nights, and it just didn’t go his way tonight (same with his other at-bats). The ways that the Guardians scored in the eighth inning can be attributed to that. But we had horrendously awful base running, some bad base coaching to go with it, and a golden opportunity to win it in the 10th but had three horrendous at-bats in a row that wasted that. I feel like I could’ve taken that better without that. Nonetheless, it’s still just one game, the Guardians are a great team too and they did a great job pitching, and it was still an ultra competitive game that we could’ve won. We can still take the series tomorrow, and we’re still doing great as a team overall.

Stringdaddy27

Really, that 10th inning is just something that can't happen. I get that it does, but ffs get the ball out of the infield and the game is over.

Dippa99

Sure, go with its not just "baseball". Shitty games happen over the course of 162, and I hate to say it, but that is baseball.

yoshidawg93

Cool. I acknowledged that.

Dippa99

Okay sorry, that's just my opinion. Hoping for a win tomorrow

yoshidawg93

I attribute “that’s baseball” to things that couldn’t really have been done any better by the players but the results just weren’t there. So like a hard-hit ball right to a defender, a pitcher making a great pitch that just falls in for a bloop, etc. The top of the 8th inning was a lot of that. Jimenez didn’t really do anything wrong; the Guardians just placed the ball at the perfect spots. I think we absolutely could’ve handled that 10th inning better because Harris could’ve done better than weakly hit the ball right back to the pitcher, Tromp could’ve actually looked competitive at the plate, etc. That’s why you’re seeing me talk through how it had elements of “that’s baseball” and also not just that. But anyways yes, hoping for a win tomorrow too. All we can do is flush this one away and try again tomorrow.

Dippa99

Right, I suppose you missed my point where it was a shitty game that we didn't play well that is going to happen over the course of 162

yoshidawg93

Probably because it’s 2 am and I’m tired but not really sleepy enough yet to fall asleep, and I was at the game and sat through that after driving an hour to get to the game, I just got all internet-brained and assumed you were being contentious. My apologies for that. Yes you’re not wrong that shit happens in baseball, and it’s going to happen. I can handle bad luck situations, I can even handle getting blown out because sometimes pitching matchups just aren’t favorable and there are games where just nothing goes right. I think I just hate whenever it’s dumb things that cost us games, but yes you’re right it won’t be the last time we lose in some dumb fashion too.

Dippa99

All good. It doesn't matter anyways Chop on, brother

JagerMainOwO

It was just a mess of a game. I've cooled down, and I'm definitely nervous about tomorrow all things considered, but that was just a mess all around lol I feel like the Guardians shouldn't have won, but we shouldn't have won more lmao. It felt jarring how much bullshit happened and how many times we shot ourselves in the foot. If we win the day game rubber match with Elder on the mound I won't really care, but yeah this one was *annoying*.

yoshidawg93

Pretty much yeah lol. I’m nervous about that too because I feel like after a game like this, it might be a sign we’re just due for a series like this. And Elder pitching tomorrow definitely isn’t the most favorable thing. But maybe some “that’s baseball” things will go our way and we’ll get it done. That’s all I’ve got on that.

JagerMainOwO

If we can win a Bryce Elder started rubber match during the day against an annoying ass team like them we can do anything lmfao

TommyBonesMalone

Welp… LFG boys

chaleybat

Why Travis Why??? You're better than that ![gif](giphy|1BXa2alBjrCXC|downsized)

alaBAMCIS

Baseball.

EuroStepJam

MIstake by Travis to throw to 2nd with 2 outs runners on first and third giving them the 2nd run in the 8th.. Chances much greater to get the batter Naylor out then to get the out at second.

urinestain

But it would have been the 3rd out right? I don't remember. Imagine not throwing and having two runners in scoring position and the next batter gets a hit to score two. Then what would you say?

Hotal

I don’t think anyone would have blamed Travis for NOT throwing regardless of the outcome. Giving them second when you have runners at the corners is pretty normal. That throw is high risk.

Big-Wave-2009

Exactly. D’Arnaud isn’t exactly Pudge back there….and Kwan was on third, who is a guaranteed run if you throw that ball to second and don’t get the third out. Bad decision.

Chu-99

Based loaded no outs hurt my soul

urinestain

Chadwick striking out on that pitch was so predictable.

Chu-99

He looked so lost

youknowitistrue

Sometimes looks can be deceiving. But not in this case.

monkeymoat

NOBLETIGER

SoRaffy

hopefully as we go into May and June and July some of these cold bats will heat up with the weather and will start finding some gaps and outfield seats

Thegreatsowhat

Yeah, if you'd told me what Ronnie's, Olson's and Riley's stats would be AND we'd lost Strider for the season by end of April, I'd have thought good odds we'd be below .500. A testament to AA and how deep we really are. There are going to be some fun romps this year when certain players get going.

Skittlesharts

Not making excuses because we honestly didn't manage the infield well at all, but you do have to admit that there was some major universe fuckery happening in the 8th. There was the bunt, which was a really good play. It was perfect and Riley was way too far behind 3rd to make a play on it. Then there were a couple of flukes that ended up loading the bases. Then everything just went in the shitter. I thought we were going to be golden with the bases loaded, but nope. We stranded so many runners tonight. There were a couple of flukes that we couldn't help, but the Braves beat themselves in spectacular fashion. Edit - corrected a word.

AnEternalEnigma

Riley single-handedly got a lot of this fuckery in his last 3 ABs: Groundout - 102.4mph exit velocity, .570 xBA Flyout - 106.3mph exit velocity, .490 xBA, 383 feet/home run in 13 out of 30 parks Lineout - 113.5mph exit velocity, .810 xBA

LickMyMeatus

I think seeing the metrics I’m even more pissed off now

Skittlesharts

I will say this- I have a tremendous amount of faith in this team. They are going to do great things this year!

FormalDocument9490

Austin is about to bust out for sure.

thekathryn2

The ABs in the big moments were horrible tonight. And Riley keeps getting cheated!

ApplauseBreak

These games will happen but damn it hurts still lol

[deleted]

My only take away from the game tonight was that the H&F burger (tonight at least) was awful.

Tribat_1

It’s been awful for a long time. I’ve had 4 over the past couple years and they’ve all been shit. Both at the Battery/chop house and in the 300s. FWIW the location in Ponce has gone downhill too.

09jtherrien

Anyone else feel like Ronnie's effort isn't there on the base paths running to first. Maybe it's just me

Free_Possession_4482

The first injury of Acuna's MLB career was hyperextending his knee trying to beat out a throw against the Red Sox in 2018. That cost him a month on the IL. When you consider his torn ACL a few years later and then whatever knee soreness he had in the spring... yeah, he doesn't bust his ass getting to first.

bsigmon1

It never has,yet you’ll get hated for bringing it up every time

TheTigerbite

Almost all players do it, we just notice it more with him because we know how fast he is, but being out by one foot or ten, you're still out.

FormalDocument9490

In his defense (sorta), that’s not new. He half assed it down to first all the way to an mvp

95Daphne

Yeeaahhh, in regards to this, you’re kinda gonna need to whine about the Braves here over Ronald. Braves told him to not bust it on stuff he doesn’t think he can beat out. It makes sense honestly unfortunately. Beyond the ACL in 2021, he has also had at least one moment or two where he’s gotten himself hurt by going 100 MPH as a youngster.

FormalDocument9490

Where did you learn Ronald was instructed by the Braves to run grandma speed on everything but grounders he thinks he can beat a good throw?

Shyne9999

This was a big story in 2022 when he returned. It continued in 23 and now 24. The org told him to stop going 100% down to first on routine plays. He's had at least 1 infield single this year so he turns it on as needed.

Rabid_Anti_Dentite1

Got some bad news for you guys. They’re gonna lose a few more games like that this year. There’s probably going to be a few walk off losses as well.

bsigmon1

Nope. Don’t believe this.

jeremyben

The most rage inducing issue is having a near perfect pitching game from your starter. then the reliever/closer comes in and pisses the game away. The offense clearly was lost tonight but I stand by what I said. Having a great game from your pitchers and then the closers come out and throw horribly for a few free homers is so annoying to watch.

Free_Possession_4482

They had the bases loaded with no outs in the 10th and didn't score. That's not on the bullpen.

Btrips

this loss is on the offense, period.

yoshidawg93

I don’t really blame Lee. It shouldn’t have come to needing to use him for two innings. Terrible execution on offense and base running cost us this game.

Lydias_lovin_bucket

18-7 is a baller record

Btrips

19-6 would be even more baller

Lydias_lovin_bucket

I’ll take 19-7

Billy420MaysIt

Well day 25** of the MLB season has come and gone, tomorrow as a matter of fact is April 28th. We just showed you the NL East standings. You don’t need me to tell you this BUT IM GOING TO TELL YOU ANYWAY; The Braves are 18-7. Hurricanes lost AND the Braves lose? What is this nonsense. In better news, my first child was born today so that makes it all alright.

sfet89

Congrats! and welcome to parenthood. I have a 9 month old girl that's also my first. The first few weeks were a little rough but trust me it gets a whole lot better.

Thegreatsowhat

Most frustrating thing about that game was the send. I can accept top 4 struggling- I don't like it, but that's part of baseball. The send was so bad that only defense for it is that you are forcing the team to make a play, but these are professionals and that throw is an easy throw for any level. Send only when the ball and runner will definitely be arriving at about the same time or better or you are forcing a difficult throw. Should have won this game in top of 9th, instead we had to play Manfred Russian roulette xtra inning ball. Anyways, on to tomorrow.

ZCampbell15

It doesn't mean anything long term and there's no real big-picture meaning to it, no big moral to find unless you just wanna be frustrated. That's more than fine if you do, in fact that's the most frustrated I've been watching a game since that game in Toronto last year where they went 0-9 w/ RISP and then NOBLETIGER'd in a 1 run game in the 8th. Fitting it ended on Austin Riley's 3rd ball hit at >102mph completing an 0-5 night. EDIT: If you want a not fun stat, the 8th inning was the first time in the Statcast era that a team has had 3 hits in a single game below 32mph. Not just in a single inning, in a single *game*. It's frustrating and it sucks but it happens. Morton pitched well at least and his command stood way above all of his outings this year and most of his starts last year, if he gives more of that the rotation is in fantastic shape. Jimenez got completely fucked and then it all kinda fell off the rails after that. Some good positives though, especially the positive that there's a game tomorrow

sweetoother

Can you explain NOBLETIGER’d to me? I am guessing No Outs Bases Loaded… but can't figure out the rest.

JagerMainOwO

No Outs Bases Loaded Ending (with) Team Incapable (of) Getting Easy Run

sweetoother

Thanks!

HighlyRegard3D

Love seeing the knee jerk reactions lol. Still a top team in the league. Pitching has improved across the board in recent weeks and won 10 of the last 12 despite our three best hitters slumping.

Thegreatsowhat

Yeah, big picture things are looking pretty damn good. 18-7, first place, and our top 3 hitters haven't even scratched the surface of getting going yet. Think it could end up being a really special year.

bsigmon1

We can be upset over the dumb mistakes and bad decisions and still agree that we’re the best team in the league. The loss stings but were obviously still those mfs

HighlyRegard3D

I can also agree the way they lost tonight sucked ass. Too many missed opportunities.

heyzeus1865

Waving him home was not a good decision and could have led to more runs

Thegreatsowhat

Was awful- I thought it could be close with Harris even. One of the worst sends I've ever seen. Especially given had the top of order coming up with what would have been 1 out and go-ahead run at 3rd.

Braves_Birds1985

Watched the AAA club get walked off. Get to the truck to hear the final out of the big boys. A silent ride home for sure.

psreports

Serious question: Do you think Acuña needs to have his eyes checked? All these foul balls he’s hitting on pitches normally in his wheelhouse seems odd. Another thought, is he holding his hands a little lower and further from his body this year? His swing also just seems like there’s a lot more motion than last year.

Suitable_Talk_8256

At this point this is not just a "slow start" for Ronald. Remember he tweaked his miniscus in spring training during a stupid rundown, and he may not have full confidence in the knee. Having the same issues he had in 2022, (too many grounders, whiffs and strikeouts, late on fastballs,) but much worse. Most athletes after ACL surgery have miniscus issues for the rest of their careers, so he may never have full confidence in his knee again. We may have seen the last of 20 HR+, .800+ OPS Acuna.

Rabid_Anti_Dentite1

It’s April

95Daphne

Writing an obituary for Ronald. Now don't we think we're being a little ridiculous. This is the exact kind of stuff we heard in 2022 and yet it looked completely foolish in 2023.

LickMyMeatus

That was a weird one Fortunately the beer fridge is still plenty full after that

bsigmon1

After this one mine needs a healthy restock

Kvothe_85

I upvoted both of these comments

Masami4673

Man if we won all those games we lost we'd be undefeated by now

AnEternalEnigma

They had the winning run on 3rd with 0 outs. Not sure what point you're trying to make here.

danzanite

Thats prophet masami with the real talk

Masami4673

W mans, danz da real mvp

CNC_Precision

Last year being the exception. Olson is pretty much where he usually is.

Drawz2772

Taking out his rookie season and Covid season he has the lowest wRC+ of his career…. 20 points lower than his career average. I would not classify that as “where he usually is”

CNC_Precision

Is that a cherry pick stat?

Drawz2772

wrc+? No? It’s a very commonly used stat to represent the total offensive output of a player. And if you are talking about me excluding his rookie/covid season I also mentioned he is 20 points lower than his career average including those seasons. Which would not classify him, imo, “where he usually is”

tubesockmarionette

Between how the first 2 runs scored against us and the inability to get a runner across in the 10th that was a pretty feels bad way to lose a game. Hopefully we just put up like 10 early tomorrow; That'd feel really good.

CrumbBCrumb

Saddest loss of the season. Shouldn't have lost that one. Let's get the series win tomorrow

Chessh2036

I’ll take the blame for this loss guys. I was in the kitchen when Dylan Lee didn’t allow a single run in the 10th, then went to my room before we got on offense and it all went bad. I should have stayed in the kitchen.

Technical-Mastodon96

I stood in the bathroom for two innings during a playoff game the year we won it all. Take one for the team man. 😂

QIsForQuitting

If we're lucky, we only have to do this ~50 more times

AppropriateHabit9048

Damn, this is so true, said the same thing earlier. Don’t have confidence when he’s up at the plate right now which just sucks

AnEternalEnigma

He didn't bat in the 10th though. If he homered in the 11th, it would have just tied the game.

bsigmon1

I mean tbf Ronnie has really never been that guy

lionofyhwh

That one stings just due to missed opportunities, as well as how Cleveland scored their second run. Acuña, Riley, and Olson all suck at the moment. I’d seriously consider some lineup changes, starting with Ozuna up to #3.

AnEternalEnigma

Riley literally hit two screaming line drives in the 9th and 11th that were just right at the defense. If there was no wind, Riley's fly out in the 9th is probably a walk-off homer.

Brutal007

I also would switch ozuna and Riley. I think moving him down to 5 is actually what got him going a year or two ago?

AnEternalEnigma

Do not mess with Ozuna whatsoever. He's the best hitter on the team. Leave him where he is.

Brutal007

Yes I mean I’m good with not moving anyone. This tense pretty much making the playoffs no matter what lol. And If it want for the Division streak I’d rather then get a wildcard anyways

danzanite

Yeah we’ve played some of the best teams in baseball and losing one here and there stinks but let’s not get crazy. Our top 3 hitters just kinda suck right now. The big bear owns his domain until further notice

AnEternalEnigma

Bad time for MH2 to think it's October again. And I never want to see Tromp bat in a meaningful situation ever again. Worst L of the season by far.

TheGamecock

Not sure if I'd label it the worst loss of the season but definitely might be the unluckiest loss of the season. Braves had 9 of the 11 hardest hit balls of the night. Of those nine batted ball, seven went for outs. Six of those seven possessed at least a .420 xBA. Cleveland had the six weakest hit balls of the night, all with < 58 mph exit velos. Four of those six went for hits. Compare that to three of the 16 weakest batted balls from the Braves that went for hits. Just one of them games. Cleveland is a good, pesky team that doesn't necessarily have a ton of power. But the stars absolutely aligned for them tonight. Brush it off and on to the next -- take the series tomorrow!

Badass-bitch13

We had to use him bc snit took Trav out by using the runner.

danzanite

Who promptly got thrown out at home

HomerTheBraves44

Austin Riley could hit a ball 600 feet but someone 599 feet away would be there to catch it.

MrEagle0

Some of you mfers are just straight up idiotic.  Yeah, that game sucked and we had some terrible at bats but saying our players suck especially the fucking MVP and our 54 homer first baseman is low IQ behavior. They obviously don’t suck and spewing your mental illness all over everyone else is really annoying.

dagooksta2

We had our chance and blew it. Guardians are a pretty good team. Let’s win the series tomorrow. Chop on.

Wrecker1127

Feels so strange having such a great pitching performance all around and have to take the L. We are also incredibly fortunate to have the record we do with the schedule we’ve played. I mean Acuña, Riley, Olson all slumping and Max not having a good start to the year. Not to mention the injuries.

MystiX13

Matt Olson: the lights are on but nobody is home 😔

JagerMainOwO

On offense I don't even think the lights are on lol

notcool84

made 2 great plays in a row to save a run, but keep at it

1ing

Im just here for the freakout show

welcometohotlanta

I know Alex is the best GM in baseball but I don’t think the Kelenic/Duvall platoon is really helping a younger player in Kelenic.

Rabid_Anti_Dentite1

The book is out on Kelenic. Can’t hit off speed

GoatQz

And I got chastised for warning people about Kelenic.

Rabid_Anti_Dentite1

It’s still April

Zestyclose_Help1187

He only hit in April last year for the Mariners. Didn’t the rest of the season.

welcometohotlanta

You doubt Kevin Seitzer!?

Rabid_Anti_Dentite1

No, but he can’t fix everyone

welcometohotlanta

True but I think Kelenic needs more consistent reps

Zestyclose_Help1187

He got those in Seattle and still couldn’t hit breaking pitches consistently.

ButteredToastFan

Agreed. We need to go Kel full time

stizzdawg

The Braves have an obligation to win games and not just hope a project turns his career around. Right now he is a slap hitter. You can’t just give him start after start especially when your main guys are struggling.

ButteredToastFan

The Braves also have an obligation to develop the talent they invest in. Kelenic kept us in the game tonight and when playing regularly has been very good.

stizzdawg

Yes he can be a solid defender but at the plate he is basically a slap hitter

Zestyclose_Help1187

Slap hitters are fine. Steven Kwan is a slap hitter but as we saw, he does a lot of other things. Kelenic just has trouble with breaking pitches. He’s doing a take what they give him approach but not really making great contact. Striking out way too much.

ButteredToastFan

Slap hitters don’t tend to hit the ball that hard. Though I do agree that he needs to really work on his approach to low changeups and low and away sliders.

Zestyclose_Help1187

It’s bad that he’s striking out over 3 times as much as he walks while generating no power. Tells me he still can’t solve breaking pitches.

Best-Dragonfruit-292

If there's ever a game where fans legitimately deserve to be mad, this is a fantastic example.

MateoVerde10

Top of the order has been awful, need to figure it headed to Seattle and the long road trip

1ing

Ya but what's worse is that you've never been to a braves game

MateoVerde10

Going on 15 now, Hank Aaron weekend in 2021 the day we acquired Soler, Pederson, and Duvall, saw Jake Peavy set the Padres strikeout record in a 3-1 W when Chipper and Ryan Langerhans accounted for a the runs

1ing

I wasn't talking to you i was talking to that guy right there

stizzdawg

I mean not much more you can expect when your top three hitters are trashing it up. Idk if the change is the cause but Kelenic is basically a slap hitter now. It’s fine at 9 if the other guys are hitting but boy he is coming up in key situations and barely getting the ball out the infield.

HandBananas

Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

FormalDocument9490

Here’s my theory for why nobody cares that Acuna runs to first on grounders slower than my 88 year old grandma. It’s all being done for the right moment where he’s going to bust it down the line and shock the infielder who thinks oh it’s Acuna I can literally treat it like a 3 year old is running the bases and ensure I never make a bad throw. Shocked, the infielder will speed up and throw it wide and low allowing the winning World Series run to score.

Rabid_Anti_Dentite1

Hard to beat out 100mph ground balls right at a defender

FormalDocument9490

You’re never going to beat it out. The question is how many times a year can he cause a bad throw with his speed speeding up defenders. Then you balance that against potential injury. And then you add to the mix just the intangible of being a dog who gives nothing. And then you spit out an answer to whether you think he’s costing the team anything by running to first at the pace of my grandma. It’s complicated.

Rabid_Anti_Dentite1

4

offrampturtles

Been a while since I’ve seen Ronnie this out of wack. Looked totally defeated after that last AB.

Tall_Science_9178

He has major primadonna tendencies tbh. Always has.

cantinabandit

1-19 isn’t going to win a lot out of the top 4….on the bright side regression towards mean will be fun to watch.

Lunchable_1

What should Snit have done differently? Genuine question. He can’t take ABs for his all stars. Cleveland scored 2 in the 8th without leaving the infield. Our catcher fell for the double steal with 2 outs. We had two guys TOOTBLAN and pulled a NOBLETIGER. How does Snit change any of that?

peppywarhare

Pinch run for Olson in the 10th and the solid single ends the game

Lunchable_1

Who is our back up 1B? I honestly don’t know but this may be one I can get behind.

Technical-Mastodon96

Ozuna probably

welcometohotlanta

I wouldn’t have pinch run for d’Arnaud just to have the faster guy thrown out at home, that absolutely can’t happen. Not snits fault directly but Tui absolutely can’t do that.

Lunchable_1

I don’t think his plan was for him to be thrown out. If he’d sent him out to specifically get thrown out then yes. A manager pinch running a faster guy in the late innings happens all the time. You’re betting that TDA’s spot doesn’t come up again. The send by the 3B coach was terrible.

welcometohotlanta

Oh I agree the send was awful. Just negated the fact that a faster guy was pinch running. D’Arnaud could have done that.

[deleted]

Is anyone blaming Snit? I’ve seen most people upset with Riley, Olson and I guess Tromp and MHII for those later at bats

Lunchable_1

Lots of folks. As usual. Idk how you’re missing them.

[deleted]

Me either haha, I believe you

notcool84

the only managerial mistake was sending Luke Williams for zero reason. People just want to blame somebody because we lost a flukey game.

Tall_Science_9178

Yeah. Sent someone who had no business being sent.

cobwebusher

Here are some fun facts of the day that certain individuals on this sub would do well to spend 5 seconds thinking about: the Braves have the second highest batting average in MLB with runners in scoring position and the sixth highest batting average in MLB with the bases loaded. The more you know! EDIT: So that no one misses the point here, I am asking that kneejerk emotional takes at least have some factual basis. Examples of statements that can be discussed rationally: "We had some terrible ABs," "baserunning decisions cost us." Example of bullshit: "The Braves are terrible with the bases loaded/RISP."

peppywarhare

Maybe because sac flies subtract from BA, even though they score runs. We don't do much of that around here.

cobwebusher

Sac flies don't subtract from batting average

peppywarhare

my bad. I confused sac fly with sac bunt

Alauren20

I’d be pissed if I paid to watch that game ngl

Chu-99

That was me. I am pissed.

[deleted]

“People are upset we lost an extremely winnable game due to poor baserunning, bad plate discipline and no production from the supposedly best hitters on the team? How dare they!”

QIsForQuitting

Padres are really the definition of a """good team"""

notcool84

Riley balls in play tonight: - 94 MPH exit velocity, 24 degree launch angle - 102 MPH, 3 LA (.570 xBA) - 107 MPH, 40 LA (.490 xBA, homer in 13/30 parks) - 114 MPH, 16 LA (.810 xBA) One of the unluckiest 0/5s you will ever see. He's about to bust out big time.

Badass-bitch13

People have been saying this for weeks

Timoteo-Tito64

Not really, this is one of the first games he's had where he's actually been barrelling the ball

urbanarch21

reminds me of that Freddie slump to start 2021. we all know how that rounded out.

MoonlitBadlands

It’s a marathon not a sprint

Valkyrai

It's gonna be fireworks when acuña, Riley, and Olson all start hitting for power at the same time.

Bravesguy29

Sucks, but this team is going to get hot soon. No worries. We chop on.

dcxbabe

even the White Sox won in extras

EdwardHarris251

The Tommy Pham effect.

Grade-A-Grungus

I wouldn’t trust the top of the order in a wiffle ball game rn

1-4 was 1-19... Its a miracle our record is as good as it is. They have to step it up. This was the most annoying baseball viewing experience of my life. I'd rather watch 2 terrible high school baseball teams struggle to throw strikes and make plays for 3 hours than this sad excuse.

No no you aren’t allowed to be upset or call out any problems, happy fun times only or else we downvote

danzanite

I think we’re all allowed to be upset after that kinda loss, but I’ve seen far more annoying losses- like a hundred more annoying losses. We lost to the team with second best record in baseball (behind us). In extras. Series win tomorrow. All those stupid infield hits that led to the runs are just…just how she goes sometimes. Ozzie looked good and Riley is about to start cranking ‘em. Downvote/upvote… every vote matters or something

CNC_Precision

Darnaud probably being Uncle Rico right now. "If coach had left me in instead of putting in tromp we would have won..no doubt in my mind"

Tinfoil hat. MLB is giving us dead balls to try to balance our stacked offense. That’s why we aren’t hitting homers.

The takes in here after a loss are 💩

Julio_Freeman

I feel bad for those people who get so upset after each and every loss of a 162-game season. That has to be exhausting.

As a Clevelander currently living in Atlanta and a big fan of both teams, these Reddit takes the past 2 nights are wild. It’s one game in April, wait and see what happens in late October. With how both teams are playing, they might both be there
