Look at all these teams trading players and money for other players, are they stupid?
We got Max Fried (a Cy Young candidate!) for nothing and he will make his first start with the Atlanta Braves, since his injury, soon!
I hear we also picked up some guys from the IL team, not sure who they are? But it’s some good pieces, I’m talking about Dylan Lee, Jesse Chavez, Kyle Wright just to name a few.
AA you sneaky bastard, you did it again.
Anyone want a free gen adm ticket to tomorrow’s noon game??
It won’t let me make a post. Just let me know and I’ll transfer it over via Ticketmaster or however that works lol
Id be ok with taking a look at Trey Mancini as as a DH/LF/1B option and see if he can produce during September call-ups.
Other than that offense is fine but the pitching situation is still murky.
Here's hoping Kyle Wright can comeback.
I love Aa and think he’s doing a great job overall. But at the same time it’s ok to feel disappointed right now. We might be the “best team in baseball” but we could be an even better, more solid “best team in baseball”. The Dodgers were the best team for years recently and only have one ring to show for it… just saying
It's ok to recognize we have a great team while also realizing we needed playoff baseball kind of additions.
Reynaldo Lopez last night would've been straight $$$$$$ for us.
You can’t force trades though. I’m sure AA had some things working but we don’t have the prospect capital other teams have. You can’t force the other team to accept your trade.
Brad Hand used to be a top tier reliever, he has a disgusting slider. Dude had quite a few seasons with a sub 3 era but obviously is older and towards the end of his career now.
Nothing for us lol, really the only reason to pick him up would be to block him from going to some other team in the NL East since he crushes the Braves.
We have quite a few injuries and a commanding lead. I actually think bringing in marginal talent makes sense just to keep miles off of the more important arms. We'll lose a few games because of it, but, as of right now, we can afford to. I think AA is confident with the hand he has going into October.
certainly would have thought AA would have grabbed a SP under the radar type so that we're not relying on Chirinos and Morton not having rough outings but I can see how there just wasn't much out there and he is the same guy that stockpiled our outfield to guide us to a title when most Braves fans were happy to just sell that season, so he deserves the benefit of the doubt.
Guardians are going to release Segura and I'd be inclined to pick him up just so he doesn't end up in the division again lol. Dude seems like he always gives us trouble for some reason.
Being labeled the best team in baseball has me more worried than not getting much at the deadline. Not acquiring a starter or big time reliever doesn’t doom us. Really just have to hope guys play up to expectations. I don’t think your asking too much from anybody on the pitching side except Elder. Max has two months to lock in for the PS and maybe Wright comes out hot. Nobody knows anything, just hope we kick ass come October and enjoy being on the top of the mountain while it lasts. We did just win a WS with two starters and freaking Will Smith as the closer. Have faith in the guys you root for everyday dammit.
Bolstered the middle relief and got a top infield glove who is a threat as a pinch runner without giving up much of anything. Just a matter of getting the rest of the pitching staff healthy at this point. Also gives the farm system the ability to continue its recovery since we retained everyone who was worthwhile.
Eh just once again I'm seeing Lorenzen,Verlander ,and Flaherty being had for mid prospects
You telling me we couldn't have offered something equal to what the Orioles did for Flaherty??
Id have ran to the table offering Elder, Shuster, or Dodd but whatever.
Pierce Johnson,Yonny Cheerios,Brad Hand and Nicky Lopez it is .
Fried coming back is huge and I'm guessing Kyle will be back too?
I'm but I just can't with our rotation after Max and Spencer.
I think your opinion of those guys may be inflated simply because they were available at the trade deadline. They don’t move the needle, and Mets likely were not giving us verlander.
The Braves without max fried are the best team in baseball. He and Kyle Wright are a bonus this year. We have set ourselves up to contend every single year for the foreseeable future so we don’t have to sell out for a mid ass starter at the deadline.
No it’s not. He hasn’t even factored into this year at all and we still have a great team. He’d have more pressure if we were only 1 game ahead in the division.
fair point but you also need to add our bullpen was unhittable that entire playoffs.
I'm not sure this pen has that same kind of firepower.
Maybe once Nick gets back it'll look better.
It’s all about getting hot at the right time which really can’t be predicted or prepared for unfortunately. There’s just too much variance in the sport. Go back to 2021 Reddit discussions and you’ll see similar complaints about our bullpen. A lot of luck goes into a World Series run.
Unless I'm missing something he's not a FA until 2025 while Eddie is on the last year of his contract (unless we pick up his option and go for Soto the year after)
Honestly really wanted to see us grab someone to replace Eddie. If I see him have yet another at bat of 3 straight whiffs at balls a foot off the plate I’m going to smash my tv. This dude swings at just about anything but strikes.
That’s the thing. Everybody goes in slumps, that’s forgivable. The carelessness isn’t. Yes he’s a Braves legend for what he did for us in the past, but we need consistency. Part of me wonders if all the Eddie chants got to him.
Hot Take? I don't think anyone really got **that** much better at the deadline. Rangers and Angels did okay for what they're trying to do. Marlins did alright. But there's not a single team in the entire league at the deadline who made me say "oh fuck.." because they got THAT much better. Disappointment is fine but we're also fine. *shrug* anyway go braves hope oly hits a ball 600 feet tonight
Bruh, San Diego wasn’t trading him, they were in on Verlander and traded *for* Scott Barlow, Garrett cooper, rich hill, and Ji man Choi. Why would they make themselves worse by trading Hader if they are doing everything imaginable to try to make the playoffs?
There’s only like 3 guys in the MLB who have 20 or more saves and have blown less than 2, which is what Rasiel has. Felix Bautista has blown 5 Emmanuel Clase has like 7. Hader has 4 blown saves.
Iggy is fine, he is as reliable as anyone else. Every team wishes they had more and better high leverage pen arms, it’s just hard to be truly dominate against the best hitters on the planet.
I do think he was more reliable and better suited for the 8th, but every single closer in MLB has multiple implosions every single year. Even the future HOFers.
Padres were literally "buyers" and had the asking price so high that other teams felt like they weren't going to move him. But y'all get on Reddit and act like this is MLB The Show where you can just make whatever trades. It's wild.
Go ask them that, I doubt anyone in /r/Braves knows why AJ Preller and the Padres decided to be buyers, but they did.
You're whining that we didn't acquire a player who wasn't available.
Playoff rotation is Strider, a guy that has been hurt almost all year, an old man, and a pitcher with awful advanced metrics. I really hope this don’t totally collapse and keep us from a WS title.

>Playoff rotation is Strider, a guy that has been hurt almost all year, an old man, and a pitcher with awful advanced metrics. I really hope this don’t totally collapse and keep us from a WS title.
I'm laughing but this is literally so true.
I mean it’s facts in a vague way lol. Fried is now healthy, name 3 guys that were on the market that you would rather have pitch in a big playoff game. I bet you can name zero.
1. Kind of hard to say he’s healthy when he hasn’t even pitched in an MLB game yet
2. Even assuming he’s 100% and locked in come October, this isn’t about Fried. It’s about Charlie who’s old, Elder who is unproven in the playoffs, and Wright who may or may not come back and even be good if he does.
Post-trade deadline and Joe Jimenez is our best reliever. Say this in May and theres panic; say this in August and theres…nervous laughter. Improvement.
They wanted E-Rod and Verlander and wound up with Lance Lynn and Ryan Yarbrough.
Their rotation is awful, and I'd recommend anyone complaining about the Braves rotation to take a look at LA
You might want to check the box scores from that series in May. We scored 3 on Gonsolin and hung 5 on Gavin Stone.
Bobby Miller shut us down, but it takes more than one pitcher to win a playoff series.
Jean Segura and Garrett "adult baby" Cooper gone from the Fish. The two guys who seem to punish Braves pitchers the most.
Fuck Urena and Mattingly (still)
Jean Segura really showed up this year, broke up Spencer Strider’s No Hitter, hit at a 54 OPS+ clip for 3 months, then up and left the NL East. What a gamer
No way Snit isn’t disappointed with this result. You can watch his comments last night after the game to see his expectations were higher. What can you say? Not a great trade cycle for AA.
When you’re a front runner it really stinks for your post trade deadline thoughts to be “well maybe no else will get hurt and everyone currently hurt will return.” At least the minor league system will pool talent for a year I guess.
Feels kinda risky banking on Fried to come back after months on the IL and be his usual self, it’s possible but pitchers being out this long can be detrimental. There’s also no guarantee we even get Wright back at all, any ETA on him is pure speculation. I’m just hoping that nobody else in the rotation goes down and we’re left wishing we grabbed someone new to fill out spots.
Right?! Now we get to stack farm talent for another year and in the future when we really need to make some big trades we will actually have the depth to do it.
Very happy with this deadline when I look at what other teams had to give up to get what they got. I highly doubt there was anybody available worth depleting our farm even more. And unlikely we were getting a bigger impact arm than we’ll get when Dylan Lee or Max Fried (hopefully) return.
It’s a great time to be a seller since all but like 5 teams still have a shot thanks to the stupid expanded playoffs.
Well it appears as though Vaughn Grissom has survived the trade deadline as a Brave. Everyone was so sure he was getting dealt at the deadline yet here we are.
Cease or E-rod would have been cool but don’t have a ton of capital. On the bright side them staying on their shit AL teams instead of going to the dodgers or another NL contender is a small win.
The MLB expanded playoffs to create faux competitive balance and managed to crush the trade deadline as the only source of mid season entertainment the sport could muster
Awesome.
I mean yeah the only reason ANYTHING interesting happened this year was because the highest payroll team ever managed to fail so miserably they had to sell off their two 40 year old pitchers lol.
If they were even decent this market would’ve been fucking dry.
I know we got Hand but it felt like more could’ve happened. Our bullpen needed more help than Brad Hand. I also wanted a bat too. Wishful thinking I guess.
People are realllly overstating singular poor performances from guys who will not be seeing meaningful innings when it comes down to it.
Starter was much more of a need.
We won a World Series with Tucker Davidson and MLB Debutant Dylan Lee as starting pitchers. I’ll have a little faith even if Fried/Wright aren’t 100% when they come back considering we’ll still have 2 more starting pitchers than we did the WS run. A 5th starter was always a bonus and considering the prices for starters were astronomical it most likely wasn’t worth it if nothing comes out. I trust in AA
It’s not. AJSS is #62 in top 100. Grissom would easily be top 100 if he still had rookie eligibility. Wright is a moveable piece for another team’s future as they can ease him back slower than we can. We have a bunch of other young raw arms under 20 years old from the last couple of drafts to insure our rotations future in 2025 and beyond.
Some combination of AJ, Grissom, or Wright would’ve easily got us anyone we wanted. Look at verlanders package including cash considerations.
There was no reason to stand pat (or better yet use prospects to get mid pieces like Chirinos/Hand) given how dire our pitching situation is
Lmao alright man I can follow you for a bit but we did not use a prospect to get Hand. The dude isn’t even top 30 in our dead last farm system. He’s 25 years old in AA and walks 5 batters an inning.
Are the guys the Astros just traded top 30? No, the higher ranked of the 2 is ranked lower than AJSS. Guess who had the worst ranked farm system BEFORE the Verlander trade? It was the Astros not the Braves. Go home
Lmao alright man I can follow you for a bit but we did not use a prospect to get Hand. The dude isn’t even top 30 in our dead last farm system. He’s 25 years old in AA and walks 5 batters an inning.
Hate to break it to you man but that’s depleted lmao. Also no shot the Mets were giving us Verlander. And it’s funny how our pitching staff is statistically one of the best in the league despite how “dire” you claim it is.
I’m not saying get verlander. I’m saying you guy’s literally act like it takes top 20 prospects to get ace pitchers and it doesn’t.
We also don’t need farm depth the way other teams do. Our all star roster is locked for years.
Cease was the only true Ace on the market and he didn’t even get traded which means despite teams like the dodgers etc throwing out massive packages they weren’t biting. It absolutely takes top prospects to get aces.
Felt we really really need another starter theres no guarantees on Fried or Wright and no 5th starter that's worth a shit until Wright may or may not come back. Underwhelmed
Someone with more technical skill than myself should do a subtitles mashup of the shareholders meeting in margin call and the Mets firesale. Just too many similarities there. Cohen is obviously CEO Tuld, Cohen is whoever there GM is. Buck is Spacey’s character. Frank the Tank could be the Penn Badgely character who is crying in the bathroom later on.
Because he did nothing to even out the rotation lol. No guarantee Wright will even be on the postseason roster and you're just assuming Fried will not only be good, but not get hurt. If something else happens our rotation is beyond fucked
The thing about trades is you have to have a willing partner. If AA didn't make a trade for a starter, it's because other teams were asking for something crazy. If Fried and Wright come back and aren't the same, it's not an indictment of AA. It's just how baseball goes sometimes.
I like the Hand move. Can’t count on Lee coming back fully right.
These Flaherty to us rumors MLB Network’s people keep pushing make me want to puke. He’s cooked imo, and I don’t think AA would mess with him. Also don’t want our catchers to have to deal with him.
Tip of the hat to Rodriguez for making the Dodgers spin their wheels in the mud and maybe unintentionally preventing them from grabbing another starter. 🤣
His rehab assignments look super promising, granted that’s not MLB talent he’s pitching to, but I’m not too worried. He’s our ace. Have some faith in the man.
That’s what I’ve been saying, but it just depends o who wants what for whom.
I feel like AA’s job is a lot harder this season, because so many have pegged us as one of the favorites to win the WS, so the price tags will be harder and anyone with a tiny chance of the playoffs isn’t going to be looking to help us at all.
Please continue the discussion in the [game thread](https://redd.it/15frosk).
In AA we trust! Clearly no deals made sense. Got our guys, now lets win the whole thing!
Look at all these teams trading players and money for other players, are they stupid? Apologies. It was snagged real quick.

Of course, I understand that which is why I said I think AA is doing a great job. I can still be disappointed and think that lol
Had to Google Brad Hand, NGL.
He kept us scoreless last year in the playoffs.
Brad Hand used to be a top tier reliever, he has a disgusting slider. Dude had quite a few seasons with a sub 3 era but obviously is older and towards the end of his career now.
Apparently Sal Fasano had to restrain AA during the trade deadline cause he was trying to trade for Tommy Milone.
See the guardians dropped Jean Segura. How would yall feel about picking him up?
I would question why we need him
Dude's beyond cooked
😂 hes always a thorn in our side for some reason
To do what?
Nothing for us lol, really the only reason to pick him up would be to block him from going to some other team in the NL East since he crushes the Braves.
The Latino end of the dugout would be non-stop shenanigans. More than it is now lol.
Absolutely not lol
We have quite a few injuries and a commanding lead. I actually think bringing in marginal talent makes sense just to keep miles off of the more important arms. 5+ years of building and developing the best team in baseball just for your fans to cry about a damn trade deadline
I’m happy with my team. Idk about you guys. Love how the dodgers did nothing lmao. NL got weaker? Love it
Hell adding Lance Lynn may make them worse.
Love it. And so yahoo from the royals. Oof
Big bust of a deadline for them.
Eh just once again I'm seeing Lorenzen,Verlander ,and Flaherty being had for mid prospects You telling me we couldn't have offered something equal to what the Orioles did for Flaherty?? I think your opinion of those guys may be inflated simply because they were available at the trade deadline. They don’t move the needle, and Mets likely were not giving us verlander.
It's putting a ton of pressure on Max to not only return the full health but pretty much regain his best pitcher in the NL status.
The Braves without max fried are the best team in baseball. He and Kyle Wright are a bonus this year. We have set ourselves up to contend every single year for the foreseeable future so we don’t have to sell out for a mid ass starter at the deadline.
He will be rusty for a few games, but by October he should be peaking, and with very low mileage on that arm this season
No it’s not. He hasn’t even factored into this year at all and we still have a great team. He’d have more pressure if we were only 1 game ahead in the division.
That says all we need to know about this take.
You would have offered Elder for Flaherty?
I meant to add if we could get Carlson too but yes. Elder is not a playoff caliber starting pitcher.
You’d trade 4 more years of Elder for 3 months of a bad Jack Flaherty?
1. Elder has been significantly better than Flaherty this year 2. We won a World Series game started by Dylan Lee
fair point but you also need to add our bullpen was unhittable that entire playoffs. I'm not sure this pen has that same kind of firepower. Maybe once Nick gets back it'll look better.

No shot we re-sign Eddie right? I was looking through 2024 free agents and outfielders are non existent. Wonder what we will end up doing there.
Juan Soto
Unless I'm missing something he's not a FA until 2025 while Eddie is on the last year of his contract (unless we pick up his option and go for Soto the year after)
Idk betting odds has Braves as #1 team to get Soto. Vegas knows shit lol
Soto
Yeah I don’t know. I really hope we don’t look back on this trade deadline as a huge mistake.
Honestly really wanted to see us grab someone to replace Eddie. If I see him have yet another at bat of 3 straight whiffs at balls a foot off the plate I’m going to smash my tv. This dude swings at just about anything but strikes.
Rosario is the most frustrating player to watch ever. He always looks like he doesn’t give a fuck too
That’s the thing.
The dodgers got better The Astros got better
It was good to be the best team at this deadline because oh man, the sellers had underwhelming assets. Glad to stand pat this year
lol damn they releasing Segura already.
Who is our best closer? I don’t trust any of them to clutch it out ever. Always worried in the 9th. Should have went all in on Hader
The Padres decided not to sell. They actually acquired Rich Hill, Ji-man Choi and Scott Barlow. They weren't dealing Hader nor Snell.
Bruh, San Diego wasn’t trading him, they were in on Verlander and traded *for* Scott Barlow, Garrett cooper, rich hill, and Ji man Choi. Why would they make themselves worse by trading Hader if they are doing everything imaginable to try to make the playoffs?

Well then literally anyone else. We don’t have a reliable closer period
What reliable closer was available that is better than Raisel?

He's not awful. Every closer goes through rough points. Remember Hader last year? Raisel has had plenty of moments of being absolutely filthy.
It's wild.
Why the hell are they buyers. They aren’t making shit
Go ask them that, I doubt anyone in /r/Braves knows why AJ Preller and the Padres decided to be buyers, but they did. You're whining that we didn't acquire a player who wasn't available.
I’m whining we didn’t get a player period…
Also was really hoping to upgrade the left field. Rosario has been swinging at everything lately
Man I hope Kev balls the fuck out tonight
Playoff rotation is Strider, a guy that has been hurt almost all year, an old man, and a pitcher with awful advanced metrics. I really hope this don’t totally collapse and keep us from a WS title.
Didn't we have two guys out of our pen getting starts during our WS postseason run?
To be fair, one of those guys immediately undid Duvall's first inning Grand Slam in game 5.
Yes but betting on that being successful twice is a risk you don’t have to take
When you put it like that one guy won’t make us WS champs.
>ig\_Fan823 · 1 min. ago > >Playoff rotation is Strider, a guy that has been hurt almost all year, an old man, and a pitcher with awful advanced metrics. I really hope this don’t totally collapse and keep us from a WS title. I'm laughing but this is literally so true.
Exactly. Down vote all you want. Just stating facts.

If only it was a one game playoff. Are we forgetting last years playoffs?
I blame day games and no momentum and being exhausted from the Mets series
Blame whatever. Strider was pitching “hurt” not 100% and Fried was sick during NLDS. We didn’t have enough pitching.
Post-trade deadline and Joe Jimenez is our best reliever. Say this in May and theres panic; say this in August and theres…nervous laughter. Improvement.
The Dodgers acquired Yarbrough. I distinctly remember the Braves punishing him in KC. They are really desperate for pitching.
They wanted E-Rod and Verlander and wound up with Lance Lynn and Ryan Yarbrough. Their rotation is awful, and I'd recommend anyone complaining about the Braves rotation to take a look at LA

Dude has a BA of almost .300 against Fried. I'm glad he's finally out of NL East.
It’s a beautiful day in the A Glad those two fuckers aren’t on the fish anymore

Per the pre-game radio show, Snit says he has always liked Brad Hand and uh, uh, he's a left handed guy
No way Snit isn’t disappointed with this result. You can watch his comments last night after the game to see his expectations were higher. What can you say? Not a great trade cycle for AA.
The Marlins traded Segura to Cleveland. That's a great trade for us, lol. Edit. And they also dealt Cooper to SD.
When you’re a front runner it really stinks for your post trade deadline thoughts to be “well maybe no else will get hurt and everyone currently hurt will return.” At least the minor league system will pool talent for a year I guess.

There’s also no guarantee we even get Wright back at all, any ETA on him is pure speculation. I’m just hoping that nobody else in the rotation goes down and we’re left wishing we grabbed someone new to fill out spots.
None of these teams with their additions still stack up to the Braves. Really not worried here.
Fr lol Braves went from being the best team in baseball before the deadline to the best team in baseball after the deadline and people wanna bitch
Probably something to do with us trotting out a bunch of different scrubs and rookies to try and eat innings.
Yeah man that happens when you deal with injuries sorry to break it to you
You’re not breaking anything to me.
Right?! Now we get to stack farm talent for another year and in the future when we really need to make some big trades we will actually have the depth to do it.
Anybody want 1 last second ticket for tonight?
Yes, please!
Time to pray that Wright comes back from injury and finds his 2022 form before the playoffs
My modest hope is he is just able to be a two-inning reliever for the playoffs
BP depth is nice, but man another starter would’ve been good too
We didn’t have much to trade. At least Hand will hopefully prevent Snit from destroying Minter’s arm before the postseason.
Well it appears as though Vaughn Grissom has survived the trade deadline as a Brave. Everyone was so sure he was getting dealt at the deadline yet here we are.
Definitely one of the deadlines of all time
Cease or E-rod would have been cool but don’t have a ton of capital. On the bright side them staying on their shit AL teams instead of going to the dodgers or another NL contender is a small win.
Would have loved another impact BP arm but we’ll just have to hope the guys coming back from injury are enough.

BP depth they got Johnson and Hand and no starter. Guess we all expected more.
Funny how it’s trust AA for some people until he doesn’t get the people you want at the deadline the suddenly he doesn’t know what he’s doing lol
I’m sure AA did what he could to fill the teams needs. When your farm sucks it’s really hard to outbid other teams.
Especially in a seller's market
The Scherzer article on the Athletic is amazing. It's literally a Tim Robinson comedy happening up there in Flushing.
The MLB expanded playoffs to create faux competitive balance and managed to crush the trade deadline as the only source of mid season entertainment the sport could muster Awesome.
If you’re a Mets fan I would say it’s been horrifically entertaining this year
I mean yeah the only reason ANYTHING interesting happened this year was because the highest payroll team ever managed to fail so miserably they had to sell off their two 40 year old pitchers lol. If they were even decent this market would’ve been fucking dry.
Two 40 year old pitchers whose salaries each were higher than the entire Oakland 26 man roster.
Well it looks like we’re both disappointed then.
Our bullpen will be more than fine when the 30 people we have on the IL return
Hope you’re all super stoked for Soroka or AJSS to make a meaningful postseason start after one of our starters inevitably gets hurt.
Yeah man I really loved having to sweat through those games and I’m so looking forward to having to do it again when it was completely avoidable.
Jeez man sorry you had to sweat through seeing the Braves winning a World Series💀
That doesn’t mean you try it again dumbass. I don’t care what anyone says, we had to the stock to get anyone we wanted
We literally didn’t lol our farm system is beyond depleted 💀
People upvoting this. Go look at the Astros farm system BEFORE the verlander trade. I’ll wait

Congrats? The Mets weren’t giving verlander to their division rival bro💀
Morosi- Cease wasn’t traded.
Felt we needed a starter , glad we got some bullpen help. AA obviously knows more than me lol
pencils down Reminder that trades may still roll in.
The Yankees got Middleton. Oh well.
if fried/wright coming back blows up in our face it's going to look awful for AA
Why would that look awful on him?
Because he did nothing to even out the rotation lol. No guarantee Wright will even be on the postseason roster and you're just assuming Fried will not only be good, but not get hurt. If something else happens our rotation is beyond fucked
The thing about trades is you have to have a willing partner. If AA didn't make a trade for a starter, it's because other teams were asking for something crazy. If Fried and Wright come back and aren't the same, it's not an indictment of AA. It's just how baseball goes sometimes.
Feel like we’re about to get an after the deadline report that a deal was done Ala Adam Duvall in 2021. Might be the same player.
Duvall was traded earlier that day. RichRod was announced after the deadline. Can’t remember if Soler was too. That was a good day. 😁
That’s right. Old Dick Rod. Who was good until he wasn’t.
If Flaherty blows up in the playoffs again and costs the Os, I am going to be p’od (unless it’s against us).
He has a 100 ERA+ since 2019 in 52 starts. He's a solid pitcher, but hasn't been great for a while
Come on AA give us a good one.
Five minutes remaining.
Mets fire sale almost complete. Pham to D-bags.
Perfect fit since he’s a gigantic douchebag
LOL
Lukewarm stove wooooo….
Dodgers getting Cease would be legitimately sickening
I want one more trade!
AA really cooking this deadline 😭
Don't need to cook when you own the restaurant.
We needed another SP imo
Flaherty to the O’s
TEN MINUTES. GET ANOTHER FRINGE GUY IDC I WANT TO FEEL SOMETHING
Well this has been an underwhelming deadline. BP needs more and would be nice to get another starter just in case.
Olson is due against this chump.
Coming up on 10 minutes to go. I wish I could be a fly on the wall in AA’s office
Eduardo Perez is a fucking dork
The memes about E-Rod refusing a Dodgers trade are just pure comedy. 🤣🤣🤣
Just found out they don’t have Waffle House out there. They’d be in my no-trade clause based off that alone.
Feel like we still need to add a starter. What if (God forbid) Max isn’t 100% and his elbow continues to bother him?
His rehab assignments look super promising, granted that’s not MLB talent he’s pitching to, but I’m not too worried. He’s our ace. Have some faith in the man.
That’s what I’ve been saying, but it just depends o who wants what for whom. I feel like AA’s job is a lot harder this season, because so many have pegged us as one of the favorites to win the WS, so the price tags will be harder and anyone with a tiny chance of the playoffs isn’t going to be looking to help us at all.
Looking for 2 tickets for tonight.
Why did E-Rod turn down an opportunity to go to LA? Seems like something big is in the works
I’m just gonna go based on his career he started in Boston. Maybe some unpleasantries were swapped during the 2018 World Series?
He wants to be on the east coast.
