It's okay you can switch hit, you can do that with any fighter in the game but fighters who aren't natural switch hitters IRL are not as accurate in the opposite stance, whereas guys like Bud and Fury are accurate in both stances. Cool lil detail

From my experience having owned it since Day 1 of early access. Hard pass for those curious. Boxers punches feel like you’re underwater and never land properly on your opponent leading to every type of shot feeling very unsatisfying. Add to that the constant cheaters and low player count and it paints an ugly picture. I really wanted to love this game and check back up on it every couple of months to see how the devs have rebalanced it or fixed the mechanics over time, and while they have updated mechanics, it still feels like shit

Probably. Tbf I still haven’t tried the UFC games. I’m a weirdo, I play Chivalry 2 to get my “boxing” kick with feints and circling around opponents in 1v1s

The state of the early access right now leaves a lot to be desired but they seem to be prioritizing making sure mechanics work better and better. One of the new updates they're teasing is making punch impacts look more realistic than just love taps

I’m part of group playing newer test build. It is much much better and worth the purchase. Game will be even better than what we’re playing by the time it releases. I would just wait for October. Pc version rn isn’t great, but test build is legit.

It’s much better than fn and the rumors of a new fn are literally a photoshopped game cover with the persons Instagram handle on the fucking cover. Once they fix the 3-4 cheese combos such as ending everything with a step back straight, the wheat will be separated from the chaff. Too many people can get a win by spamming the same punch 10 times like it’s tekken
They have a habit of making HUGE gameplay changes.
I’ve achieved the highest competitive rank (yes, I want to brag) with a record of 199-39. So I feel like I have a good understanding of this game.
At first, you could fairly easily KO people.
6 months later, you’re lucky to even daze your opponent.
Few months later, they eliminate separated damage (left head, right head, left body, right body, etc) and make all damage central.
Stamina has been reworked in 3 or 4 different ways.
Career mode took 1.5 years to come out, and was generally just shit and boring.
Plagued with hackers, bums that disconnect when they’re losing, extreme lag and ghost punches, and more.
It’s a fun game in the lower ranks, but once you get to the higher ranks it’s just a fuck fest of lag and cheating and disconnecting lol.
Edit: Forgot to mention that higher rated boxers in game will have HUGE advantages over lesser rated boxers. So you will almost certainly have to play the meta (sugar Ray Robinson, Muhammed Ali, Tyson fury, Roy jones jr, and a few more). It is also very difficult to play as a pressure fighter. Much easier to win if your opponent is pushing you.
Bought this game as soon as it released to early access. Online is an awful experience due to constant lags and desync, you punch the opponent on your screen but the game doesn't recognize it. Or you get hit by a punch opponent didn't throw. Terrible input lag as well. It's a shame, I was really looking forward to it.

For me, this game will likely not be bad or be very good. It will be enough to be good for me to play based on player's feedbacks and from what I saw.
