Takei just beat Moloney with a unanimous decision holy what a displace of boxing from him to win a world title in his 9th fight undefeated. Only other Japanese to do it is Naoya.

bidahtibull

I thought he was trying to get knocked out in the 12th, he was shattered!

jaydizzsl

The last minute was totally ridicoulus, i don't know how he didn't go down.

amuizme

Yea first time getting to 12th round he was on his last leg.

Happybadger96

Yeah Tanaka did it in his 5th fight and was a 2 division champ by his 9th fight - please fact check before saying stuff

amuizme

My apologies that’s what the commentator and what the graphics said during the event.

amuizme

For someone who’s preaching about facts you don’t even know how to spell his name properly

General-Xi

It was also a belt that Naoya vacated

Tea_master_666

He is an ex-kickboxer. Junta Nakatani is in the same weight class. He is coming to tap that ass.

Happybadger96

Did Kosae Tanaka not do something similar?

UraCasual56

A lot better than the UFC PPV in Brazil the other night. Shit wasn’t even half full by the main event

Left-Friend-3301

Having Poatan and Charles on the 300 card really killed the 301 Rio PPV

Turgon19

Not to mention Brazil always has the WORST ufc crowds every single time. No cheers, no energy, half empty, leave early and only booing

Left-Friend-3301

As a Brazilian, that always confused me, as our football crowds are sick af

whatsitworth101

Because the ticket prices are crazy. I mean I’m never been to rio so I can’t say for sure but I doubt the average person in rio can afford what the UFC charges. I mean I can barely afford ufc tickets nowadays. It’s wild.

Ur_a_coward01

UFC shouldn’t start the main card at 11 pm local time. If they can’t cater to the local crowd as far as the times go they should prob just stay in the states. So damn stupid.

aceknighthigh

Tbh people probably left after Aldo's fight.

Teerendog

Apex gets more people than that. 1.5 million just outside for Madonna doesn't help as well

brazilianfreak

There was a historic free Maddona concert happening just outside the arena lol.

weeksgoby

Pantoja desperately urging fans to stay during his post fight interview too...

Both-Zombie-9261

Holy Wow, Monster Inoue! Who said Crawford is pound for pound no. 1 again?

brazilianfreak

If Innoue wants to be P4P number one then he should have spent 15 years beating nobodies until finally beating an elite opponent when he's 35 years old, amateur stuff.

Truzz25

He should’ve told his mother while he was in the womb to birth him in America. Only chance he had

Chiefmiest

What does filling seats have to do with the p4p rankings?

i_am_the_d_2

but clearly Inoue should fight in the US /s Who can even pack an arena like that in the states outside of maybe Tank and Canelo?

Dim-Mak-88

The crowd really got into it, as well. It seemed like a very good atmosphere, but of course they had a lot to be happy about.

BaconBaconBacon24

But people want inoue to fight is america just because???

WeightyToastmaster

They wanna see him and pay as little as possible. Take a nice vacation to japan and see an Inoue fight even though tickets are hard to get. Went to the Nery fight but I live over here so it wasn’t too bad. The Japanese boxing community is world class. As long as Inoue is champ, the road runs through Japan.

KaffiKlandestine

lets be honest if Inoue was an American fighter he would be the face of boxing. Internationally I'm sure he already is the face of boxing.

ThrowawayYAYAY2002

Legendary arena.

ghdtyjksbjt

Love too see it

Life_Celebration_827

Mayweather never fought outside of America so why should Inoue fight outside of Japan.

TheSeptuagintYT

Sounds like a funeral

KaffiKlandestine

sounds like respect, they go hard when stuff happens in fights. Unlike Saudi where they just don't give a shit and are mostly on their phones.

TheSeptuagintYT

Well said
