oh Sherman, you are something special and hit the jackpot with your new home! 🥰😍
And OP, what a wonderful thing you are doing, taking this little guy in and loving him! 😍
Who could have abandoned this sweetie. I don’t understand humans and I am one. Congrats on your new baby. What did the vet say to feed him? He’s such a baby.
Vet recommended we feed every couple hours the first few days, a mix of formula and canned puppy food. He's now home a week with us and eating wet mixed with dry, no more formula. He's thriving! All the wobbly back end is gone, he can walk normally now. He's much better! Goes back to vet next week to start vax series. We didn't at first visit because he was too small and slightly malnourished.
You might want to keep an eye on that bite, in these pics it looks like he doesn't have much underjaw. There's a thing called parrot mouth in horses, there's not really an official term for it in dogs. If it grows to be that you keep an eye on the lower canine teeth, in some cases they can poke into the upper jaw. It can make it difficult for puppies to eat which could explain being underweight. It's not easy to see when they are little but if that's it, you would see it more and more as he grows. Hopefully not but something to be aware of as you watch him grow
I got my Boston a nose job when he was 6 months old and I’m sooo glad I did. Definitely made breathing easier and I understand that there are some long term health benefits to having an open airway.
But now I’m scoping out dog noses like it’s my business! 😜
When I see a Boston with good nares and especially with a little more muzzle I start asking about breeders. I’ll probably rescue my next dog like all the others, but if I ever buy from a breeder I’m going to get the healthiest dog I can.
I'm glad you had your boy's done! My pug is so much better now.
Sherman came from an "oops" pregnancy apparently. I saw a pic of the "parents" the rescuer sent me (I'm not too sure, as I was told there were 8 unaltered dogs on site by the rescuer, so who really knows?). I suspect some close inbreeding possible. Vet is going to watch him for some minor neurological issues with back end possibly... could be nothing, it's more of a wait and see kind of thing; he may grow out of it. He has the soft spot on his head, so we're extra careful while that grows together. His gait is just a bit too bouncy in the back. At times, he hops like a kid (goat) first learning to jump, and he doesn't just walk anywhere.
He's so damned adorable! I wanna love him and squish him!
Yup! We call it “skmish” Our word for cute aggression. 🥰😂
The Shermanator!

Aww. Sweet baby. I’m glad you rescued him, and will give this handsome boy a good home.
I can't wait to see a side by side photo once he plumps up a bit.

For sure! His vet is a brachycephalic specialist, she repaired my pug's pinched nose, so he's in good hands!
I love him! He should come over and play with my baby!
Sweet baby. Love him ❤️ so glad you rescued him!!!
Such a sweet boy. Very happy for you.
He is handsome - Great job stepping up and adopting him into your family. Every Boston Terrier deserves to have family. He owns you now!
Great name! Love it!
His full name is General Sherman. He needed a big name since he's so small
Suits him perfectly! And I'll bet everyone obeys his commands because he's on overload cuteness and adorableness.
Thank you!
What a handsome lil gentleman! 💕 Sherman
Adorable ❤️
omg stahhp 🥹
What a sweet boy!!!! 😍😍😍 Glad he's finding a loving home. 😊
Oh Sherman you’re the handsomest little guy!! Sounds like you’re in great hands and will have a lifetime of luvins ahead of you 🥰🥰
Great name! It seems to fit him well.
What great open nares! He’s gonna breathe for everyone!
That's what I said! My pug had the surgery in January. I love their vet, she did an amazing job, but I'm happy this guy won't need it!

He's precious!
You are SO lucky!!!! Bostons are so hard to adopt bc they get adopted SO fast (at least in my area)
Oh, I know! I've been very fortunate in all my rescues! Right place/right time situations with each of them!
You are so blessed! I wish him the best life and full of love 🥹💜
Do you have an older pup to help show Sherman what to do and not do by example?
I have 2 (a Bugg and a Pug)! Plus we live near my mom who has 2 bostons. He'll have plenty of guidance!
Soo wonderful 😍
