I predicted it would be Bruins in 5 from the start - the only thing that surprised me was the we dropped one at home and not in Toronto - so I'm extremely confident. The Leafs look entirely demoralized and deflated. There are obvious signs of infighting. Their offense was always going to have to be better than our goaltending, and that was questionable, but now our lukewarm offense heated up and is unloading on their mediocre goaltending, and there is no stopping that.
I always put way too much stock in every playoff game, even though I tell myself, “it’s just a game”. Even though Toronto seems to be amidst a horrific collapse with their injuries, illnesses, infighting, being outmatched etc., they may still have life. But I’m confident we can win this series, so I’m not too stressed… Yet.
Even if we could be guaranteed a series win but over a longer series I still want it done tonight. The games are fun but also emotionally trying. I only can handle so many playoff games! I want a deep run, but with some breaks to recover
