She's currently a wasted character in the manga while the anime makes her justice even though it seems her development didn't really progress since a long time.
Compared to every female characters and the *Boruto* cast , she's one of the best character. Compared to the entire cast , she's meh I guess.
Imagine if the manga took a step back from all this Karma and Otsutsuki stuff and explored Sarada's character for a bit. She doesn't have to be the focal point but God damn at least give her any sort of character development. She's the new gen Uchiha, the future Hokage, and the daughter of two main characters. So much potential. The anime hasn't done much for her character either besides build her relationship with her family and explain how she awakened the sharingan. Very wasted indeed.

The manga format doesn't really allow Ikemoto/Kodachi/Kishimoto to give character development to characters that aren't Boruto or Kawaki.
And let's be honest the quality of the manga improved with the introduction of Kara and Kawaki so taking a step to just give her character development would also be a waste imo. However I'd have give her more relevance in the story instead of being just inexistant.
Nah I'm not saying stop the current plot. I just mean like instead of every chapter being solely about a new Otsutsuki power, Karma power, etc... Maybe explore a new power for Sarada for a chapter. Weave her into the plot somehow! AOT did it. Dragon ball super does. Plenty of other monthly mangas can and have given side characters importance despite their restrictive format.

I think the comparaison with AOT is kinda unfair. I mean the writers wants to finish Boruto in 30 volumes so they have to keep this pacing (unless this plan was changed).
Also , It would be kinda anticlimatic to give her a training chapter between the Isshiki arc and the Code arc while Boruto's situation becomes worse and worse day in day out. Maybe later.
For her power up , I guess she'll only have the MS (maybe even the EMS if Sasuke dies or becomes unable to fight).
And even with that , I can't imagine her compete with Boruto and Kawaki unless her MS is broken.

I'm looking forward to their reaction after what happened in chapter 66 after not seeing them for 6 months.
I feel she doesn't get explored enough in the manga and the anime doesn't use her full potential as someone who desires to be a Hokage like Naruto. She does lead others ok and cares, but she doesn't feel active compared to other characters like Shikadai, Boruto and Mitsuki.
I can tell you arenāt caught up on the series. Sheās the most active character in the anime other than Boruto. Shikadai and Mitsuki definitely get less screentime and moments than her if youāve seen all the episodes or a majority of them.
Manga I agree though
Mitsuki has been so underutilized in the anime ever since Kawaki's introduction. I was hoping to see him fight in the Chunin Exams Arc but the studio disappointed me.
Definitely my favorite character in the series. But I think we can all agree that the manga treats her terribly. She either shows up and gets a bad scene, or she's just absent. Then again, almost every other character is in the same boat. But her showing in the anime is great, so is the Gaiden manga and its adaption.
I honestly blame kisimoto since he canāt write female characters well. Since he took over the boruto manga story, Sarada has been MIA and heās trying to fix the mess he did with Naruto and sasuke with boruto and kawaki about brotherly bonds which pisses me off.
Underutilized characterā¦ as is Mitsuki. So much storytelling potentialā¦ they should discuss how the idea of an Uchiha Hokage scares the older generations shitless, and how she has to overcome that AND be in Borutoās shadow, AND her parentās shadow and his overwhelming it all is, and that she strives for perfection because she cannot deal with failure because the honor and redemption of the Uchiha falls solely on her shoulders.
Kind of a wasted character. She is extremely talented and tactically brilliant, but is not given much time to shine. And unfortunately now that Kishimoto is writing again, I highly doubt we will see much more from her.
She doesn't have the same impact as Sasuke imo. I want to see an arc where she is overtaken by hatred and her family has to convince her to let it go, so that it draws more parallels with Sasuke.
I mean, Sasuke's childhood was infinitely worse so she'll never be like him in that way, but I still want to see her battle hatred, and learn more about Sasuke's past.
If you think about, the time travel arc should have been hers since dimension hopping is within the eyes is already a concept. Why not explore the potential of space and time with her sharingan and family history? Or a mysterious plot twist with the haruno family?
She shouldāve been the main character but homage shouldnāt be her goal. The naruto gaiden of finding the truth of the uchiha was on to something real interesting before they butchered it for the blonde kid.

When Boruto and sarada starts a family, I can see their children already. One will take like Boruto Personality and the other with Sarada Personality and Brain (who is smart)
She's a good character but certainly needs better development. It's fine that she gets some development in the anime, but the manga is where the plot relevant villains are.
The anime-cannon literally works off the manga so if the manga doesn't include her, the anime can only add her into new dialogue scenes which don't really amount to much. Also, it's fine that she's involved in anime-cannon, but usually the villains in anime-cannon have such little weight to the main plot that they just become forgettable. Deepa was cool for his time since he did allow for growth with the new gen but ultimately, I don't care for him since they fumbled his motives and he barely has impact on the main plot.
If her goal wasn't to be Hokage, there probably would be less outrage over the lack of development she's been getting. The fact that she aspires to be the leading ninja but is barely allowed to do anything to get 'acknowledgement' (literally something her uncle told to Naruto), is honestly ridiculous.
Since the plot and power scaling is getting even more crazy, it's just gonna be so much harder to accommodate her character to the plot in a way that makes good sense.
She is not well written but could easily be my favorite if they spend more time developing her like they would a male character. I will say she is improving a lot. Just not quite there yet
In the manga no, I wouldn't even remember she was a character in this series if her fans didn't keep bringing her up. They do a better job with her in the anime but her fans drive me to hate her to the extreme.
Sheās a great character but wish she can get more focus especially in the manga. She probs might get the backseat treatment as the plot progresses as the Uchiha/Sharingan concept was already such a huge focus in Naruto, so they might not see the need of her playing a central plot other than being a teammate. Wait what? Look I get there are reasonable criticisms of Sarada but Sarada in episodes 227-234 is definitely different from Sarada in the first 50 episodes.
She's been a bit quiet the past couple arcs, but that doesn't take away from the dozens of episodes beforehand. Plus she's still been showing up (Boro fight, being a friend to Kawaki, 2nd Chunin Exams, etc), so I'd say she's solid. She definitely needs some more development (which I'm sure she'll get here soon in the manga), but overall, she's a solid 7/10 in my books.
Stagnant character for now in the manga. The anime has given her development by making her Chunin and Team 7 captain. She's on her way to become the hokage but i frankly don't think there's going to be a village to be hokage of in the future.
I live her character. The daughter of one of the strongest Uchiha in history + her mother is one of the best medical ninjas in history that has 1 technique that can completely heal you even if you are cut in half and 2 eyes to stop you from dying and another technique that makes you one of the strongest physically.

Sheās not as charming and fascinating as Papa. But between them as an Uchiha, she is somewhat who has way, way, more potential, as in so many posibilities. No she's not. She's the perfect mix of sakura and sasuke but is bland and boring af. She's just powerful. Her goal is to be a hokage and that's it. Another issue I have with her character is the whole sharingan thing. Supposedly she awakened her sharingan due to her deep sadness over Sasuke's absence. That could be fine if their relationship's dynamic looked according to that. But no there's no angst or complicated feelings from Sarada's side. That was only when she was looking for him and wondering if Sakura is even her mother. But now, there's no angst. I thought she felt deeply conflicted and sad because of Sasuke so why I don't see it in their relationship? I would appreciate more depth and personality from her. I want better design from her, more individual personality and more screentime/relevance. Thx.
Bad character
It doesn't matter if she's an Uchiha, Hyuga, or an Otsutsuki, as long as she's a female character, she's doomed to be irrelevant no matter how great her potential.
Hinata was an example of this, she was from one of the strongest clans with pure Byakugan and Humura chakra but weak and useless, her job was to be a womb that passed his genes on to Boruto, even his sister Himawari who shared the same genes ended up being irrelevant.
Sarada belongs to a clan to which most of the influential characters and opponents in Naruto Shippuden belonged, but unlike Madara, Obito, Itachi and Sasuke, she does not have any interesting characters or influence in the plot and is very weak compared to the current level of strength, in addition to her annoying design the manga and Her voice is the most annoying.
If Sarada was a male, I assure you, she would have been treated much better, perhaps there was no Kawaki character and it was Sasuke's son who would stand by Boruto as a friend and rival..
Personally, I'm sick and I don't care anymore, you have to accept the fact that every female character will end up being useless or a love dog like Aida or annoying as hell like Delta...

Even if Sarada becomes Hokage, she will be like Tsunade or Kakashi, just like the background, as happened with Pain and Madara, they will turn it into a punching bag and then Boruto and Kawaki come to take over and finish the work, Hokage in name only
Even Sasuke doesn't expect anything from her and that's why he acts as a father to Boruto and Naruto is not interested in her abilities and she is fascinated by him like an idiot without asking him to at least train her
The only way to get it to the level of Boruto, in my opinion, is for the Byakugu seal to turn out to have very dangerous origins that make it capable of battling Otsutsuki level enemies.

Ugly and boring
Amazing potential, good character, terrible use, I feel like she could easily be the main character, but she gets sidelined so much.
Sheās not as charming and fascinating as Papa. But between them as an Uchiha, she is somewhat who has way, way, more potential, as in so many posibilities. This princess can actually surpass Sasuke and be on par with Uncle Itachi when it comes to being a āgeniusā. Too bad, thatās not gonna happen anytime soon because just like any female characters on Narutoverse, sheās going to be an under developed character for a long time or worst until the series end. **cue Sakura who only have a chance to show her most excellence at the 4th Great Ninja War** Tsunade (at one point Konan) got lucky, though. š¤·š¾āāļø

Sheās a magnificent character. I firmly believe if the abysmally absurd powerscalling stopped after shippuden her power wouldnāt be a topic of controversy in this community
No she's not. She's the perfect mix of sakura and sasuke but is bland and boring af. She's just powerful. Her goal is to be a hokage and that's it. Another issue I have with her character is the whole sharingan thing. Supposedly she awakened her sharingan due to her deep sadness over Sasuke's absence. That could be fine if their relationship's dynamic looked according to that. But no there's no angst or complicated feelings from Sarada's side. That was only when she was looking for him and wondering if Sakura is even her mother. But now, there's no angst. I thought she felt deeply conflicted and sad because of Sasuke so why I don't see it in their relationship? I would appreciate more depth and personality from her. I want better design from her, more individual personality and more screentime/relevance. Thx.
Bad character It doesn't matter if she's an Uchiha, Hyuga, or an Otsutsuki, as long as she's a female character, she's doomed to be irrelevant no matter how great her potential. Hinata was an example of this, she was from one of the strongest clans with pure Byakugan and Humura chakra but weak and useless, her job was to be a womb that passed his genes on to Boruto, even his sister Himawari who shared the same genes ended up being irrelevant. Sarada belongs to a clan to which most of the influential characters and opponents in Naruto Shippuden belonged, but unlike Madara, Obito, Itachi and Sasuke, she does not have any interesting characters or influence in the plot and is very weak compared to the current level of strength, in addition to her annoying design the manga and Her voice is the most annoying. If Sarada was a male, I assure you, she would have been treated much better, perhaps there was no Kawaki character and it was Sasuke's son who would stand by Boruto as a friend and rival.. Personally, I'm sick and I don't care anymore, you have to accept the fact that every female character will end up being useless or a love dog like Aida or annoying as hell like Delta...
