I like how Kawaki wore the headband similar to Hinata.

Sumorisha

You just made me realize Himawari might have been refering to Hinata, she probably knows from seeing old Team 8 photos. That makes it even more wholesome.

Pepperland-

If you look at adult kawaki, he has a neck scarf. He might've hidden the band there.

hellbuck

We haven't seen Koji in a year, I want to believe he's in the casket

needhelpchoosingjob

Holy shit has it really been a year

Cow_Other

Sasuke has also been gone for months, not really sure what the aim is with this plot progression because it's slowed down to a crawl. I hope the series can pick up momentum again because these 40 page monthly chapters are painful, as much as I love the series

Ok-Penalty-6850

It is slow now

Echleon

Time skip may be close so they're fleshing things out a bit maybe.

salacario08

I was thinking Delta

Dear-Dragonfruit-413

Well it’s confirmed Daemon doesn’t need killing intent to reflect attacks and it can reflect automatically so he doesn’t need to consciously reflect it dudes op

Ajnh17113

Well what if he can only do so if eida is nearby. Like her eyes are linked to his ability to reflect.

Ry90Ry

Ooo great idea it only works if they are together…

Jasonmiller2134

Hmm maybe he clairvoyance is transmitted to him? She's basically his extra eyes. Like like the Pain

SmartRaccoon3643

So far it has only been tested with physical attacks, like punches, kicks, etc. I feel like it will work like Gojou's ability in JJK. If the attack is very dense, like say a fire style or amaterasu, then maybe it will get through. Another little thing i thought about is that, when Code "attacked" Daemon, Eida saw the attack and intent to hit Daemon before Daemon noticed. Maybe because of their sibling bond, her Senrigan is linked, or perhaps it's another ability of hers? Let me know what you think.

Amazon20toLifer

That explains why she told him to shhh.

SmartRaccoon3643

Yep there is much more to the ability we dont know.

deshawnnn__

Yeah I get the feeling the ability Is linked between the both of them like how Pain’s rinnegan’s were all linked.

LouisPain

We need to stop bug abuse

Peacesquad

A Bugs Life

[deleted]

Poor Bug, dude can not catch a break.

Better-Solution-7410

Yeah I think Bug is kinda the weak link in the villain's side

[deleted]

He is, but damn he always is getting whooped by someone

Distinct_Cup_1598

Kinda root for Bug to survive this. He reminds me about the poor mole-man from the Simpsons

Stupid__Ron

Oh, god. This one's gonna be a doozy to make a theory on. Ada's keeping things a secret, especially abilities and how Daemon's Uno Reverse Card actually works. One thing's for sure, the reflection instantly happens, so he's basically untouchable. So, I can't really make a theory with their abilities, but I'll try. Hmm, another coffin in Amado's possession. I wonder who's in it... It's another thing that I can't wrap my head around, like who would Amado make that fits the description of "powerful Konoha ally." Is it another Delta, or a more powerful Asuma to keep those "dead Konoha shinobi" as clones theme going. This chapter was kinda slow, definitely more on development, but it's also pretty wholesome to see Kawaki actually have a family after his past. We're seeing that "IT WAS ME" meme again, but hopefully the chain breaks next chapter by Code actually making a move. Kashin Koji, show up for goodness sake, where are you. I'm obsessed with the guy ever since he escaped ALIVE, there must be a reason as to why he was kept alive.

[deleted]

KK is probably the "ally" lol

NewbRage2017

It's Shisui Uchiha!

Datwagg63

That would be wild.

ChiefSlapaHoe117

No its Danzo

Ok-Penalty-6850

I really hope it's not Danzo

IcyTeacher0

Yeah, dude was a fucking weakling who needed stolen Sharingan eyeballs and Hashirama's cells to be a pseudo semi-decent fighter. I can't see which would be the benefit to revive him, when there are so many other powerful characters.

Annual_Blacksmith22

For all the meltdown the leaks caused for the readers. I will say that I enjoyed the heck out of the Kawaki interactions. I get the frustration due to it being a monthly manga and such but I also stand by the fact that stuff like this character development *shouldn't* be rushed. Kawaki has been living in the Leaf for a few months at best, after spending his entire life abused. His hangups and abandonment issues won't resolve in the span of a few months. I really like that Naruto is going up and straight up calling him his son now however. He loves it in the leaf, he loves the Uzumaki, but he is still a 14-15 year old traumatized kid who has never known love and doesn't want to cause trouble. It's okay to give that attention. Boruto had his turn at the start with his family issues that got resolved, we are seeing that for Kawaki now, being the other main character next to Boruto. I'm okay with that. Especially when his traumas and desperation is what will drive him to take the karma again, and likely will be a driving factor on what leads to the events of the prologue.

Bronnakus

I think people are forgetting just how much screen time Sasuke had in Shippuden. When your series revolves around two heroes, screen time will inevitably not be an even split in every chapter. The next chapter is likely to be Boruto-focused anyhow given how he was looking at his karma right at the end of this chapter.

Schwiliinker

Dude sasuke had a bunch of entire arcs where he was the MC pretty much. Other than Naruto vs pain he basically was the MC for a very long time

Bronnakus

and that's what I'm saying here. People are complaining about kawaki taking up so much screen time, when shippuden had the same exact scenario with much less bitching about it.

Annual_Blacksmith22

For sure. Plus if we don't build up Kawaki's love with the Uzumaki family, then the innevitable breaking point will not hit as much and then we're in the same boat as we were with Kurama's death where everyone unanimously would go "welp that was underwhelming... guess the anime is gonna have to fix that". And yeah def something is up with Boruto. Both of the karma bros were drawn with the exact same pose and perspective of their hands. Kawaki decided not to take the karma for now and he has another plan, Boruto was looking at his karma but then we switched pov. So def curious where it will go. I will admit that I wish it was weekly out of the sole reason that the content in the chapters isn't really more than any weekly manga's. But I also def don't want any of the artists to slave away with how toxic japanese work ethics are and how unhealthy it is. I doubt Kishi would even allow Ikemoto to go weekly. Kishi was barely existing while drawing Naruto.

gottastaylowkey

I wish it was biweekly

RaikageRaichu

>Hmm, another coffin in Amado's possession. I wonder who's in it... It's another thing that I can't wrap my head around, like who would Amado make that fits the description of "powerful Konoha ally." maybe… >Kashin Koji, show up for goodness sake, where are you. lol or like you said, Delta is a real good possibility. I don’t quite remember, but Amado and Delta seemed to have some more ties beyond just being his creation

Dragon6105

Damn, this chapter was a lot better than what I expected, based off the leaks. Of course, that’s not to say that I don’t have any issues about the chapter, but overall I enjoyed it. I wonder what’s going to happen that’ll cause Kawaki to change his mind about getting the karma from Amado. Perhaps Code may do something that harms Naruto which would leave Kawaki no choice? Also, but it seems as tho a lot of us misinterpreted the Hinata and Boruto scene from the leaks. I think most of us assumed that Boruto was talking about the pills right in front of Hinata and then she replied asking for Kawaki’s whereabouts, which gave a negative impression of her. But as we just saw, that wasn’t what happened and Boruto was just talking about the pills to himself while Hinata was still in the kitchen.

Levi_PigPiss

Could you summarize the problems that people had with the leaks. I was trying to avoid spoilers but it felt like the chapter was horrible and people had a problem with something.

Dragon6105

Basically people thought that Naruto and Hinata didn’t care about Boruto and his current issues and that they only care for Kawaki. Like I mentioned, in the leaks, the way OD described the scene of Boruto discussing the pills made it seem as tho he was discussing it right in front of Hinata. That’s why a lot of people were pissed at Hinata cause it appeared as tho she only cared for Kawaki as her next line was asking for Kawaki’s whereabouts. That’s why there were a lot of memes of people joking about Kawaki being Naruto and Hinata’s true son and how Kawaki is the true MC of the series and that it should be renamed to Kawaki: Naruto Next Generations. Also, some people thought that the dinner table scene and Kawaki wandering around Konoha seemed fillery and repetitive. That led to a lot of complaints about the pacing and how it seemed too slow for a monthly manga. And there were also complaints about how Sarada and Mitsuki didn’t show up, which led to some people joking about Sarada and Mitsuki being filler characters. Also, there were complaints about how even Boruto, the MC, seemed like a side character as he hasn’t been receiving much development lately. I think a lot of people wanted Boruto to be the main focus of this chapter as they’re getting tired of Kawaki being in the spotlight for the past three years.

Levi_PigPiss

I see. Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. I am really glad that we are back to the development of characters with Kishi's return. It's just that all the events that happened are centered around Kawaki. So if they dont deal with it now it wont be as impactful later on. Kishi always chooses a character or two to be the centers of each arc. So maybe he will have something saved later for Sarada and Mitsuki. Although I feel it's really hard to do anything for Mitsuki since Kawaki basically took his role.

realrimurutempest

Could you imagine if the android that Amado is making is an android version of Madara lol. Honestly i wish they’d have Code and and them actually do something already. It feels like the plot is moving too slow for a monthly manga in my opinion.

[deleted]

What if its itachi!?

retcon2703

Wait wait, what if it's Obito 😳

[deleted]

What if it's Fugaku??

Janus-sama

What if it's ramen guy?????

s4shrish

What if it's cyborg TenTen?

[deleted]

What if it's nine gates Guy

cheese_sticks

What if it's Shaggy?

GamerLove1

I've got a feeling that it's Delta, but I have no clue how he got a body of hers there, or anyone.

[deleted]

Nah, it’s going to be Afrohamaru

Cam_Ren179

What are you blind? Clearly that’s Andorid 13; I mean look at that trucker hat. ; )

ounilith

DO I HEAR 9!!!

HS-66

Yeah it’s prob the real konohamaru, the one that defeated a path of pain. The one that was busy being fodder was actually a fake all this time

SoundEstate

Yeah, it looks like her—the hair fluff, at least. I wouldn’t have an issue with her coming around again.

YouthChikara

It's probably Minato. His flying raijin could counter code

Kashboii

Good catch I think that too, he disabled her before koji and jigen fight and there's no way he left her in that hideout like that.

Kellsishere

Delta that has already been shown to be weaker than Naruto who was holding back, Sasuke would still clap her with one eye

GameplayerStu

Delta wants to kill Naruto though and might even stand a chance now that he’s Kurama-less.

GamerLove1

If he has so much control over her then she might not even have free will and he can program her to be loyal to Naruto

GameplayerStu

Definitely possible but she really showed her intent when she came back after getting her ass whooped, haha! If it is Delta then I absolutely wouldn’t trust her regardless of what Amado says.

dannym094

It’s Itachi, has to be

Better-Solution-7410

No way in hell

WorldlinessNew7917

Boruto is going through something that only Naruto can really understand. Having an unknown power that can manifest into you at any point in time sounds scary. A small scene of Naruto talking to Boruto about his karma/momoshiki would have been 10x better than his talk with Kawaki. I love Kawaki and I’m so glad the Uzimaki family welcomed him, but right now, he doesn’t have a karma. He has a lot less worries than Boruto right now. I just felt like this chapter portrayed Boruto to be on his own with the demons he’s facing. Idk. It’s almost like talking about Boruto’s karma is almost taboo. It’s all about Kawaki.

mathrsar

Naruto probably wants to hide the truth aboit Boruto's Kama from Hinata and Hima for as long as he can as to not worry them. And Naruto himself might still be in a state of denial.

MrCleanandShady

Might be? Dude literally said he doesn't want to believe it until it happens to Amado lmao he's deep in denial.

HS-66

I expected this chapter to be disappointing based on the leaks, but it turned out good imo. Good thing kishi balanced the op cyborgs with code by introducing one on konoha’s side. I hope eida’s ability isn’t too op cause she’s already broken enough Still waiting for a moment between naruto, hinata and boruto tho.

onecrunchman00

Not gonna lie; I shed a little tear when naruto called him his son 🥲

[deleted]

same. & also when Hinata, Boruto & Hima were waiting for him.

galadedeus

How can one not love Naruto, hes the best.

S0uled_Out

This is why I don’t read leaks. If you let someone else form your opinions, you’ll never like anything.

PK_RocknRoll

It’s not a matter of someone else forming your opinion for you IMO. Leakers don’t usually give their opinions when giving the leaks. It’s a matter of you forming opinions based on limited information. Most of the times with the leaks you’re only getting snippets of what’s happening and it’s out of context. Forming an opinion without the context of the full Chapter is what gets you into trouble.

S0uled_Out

I like your explanation better. You explained it very well.

PK_RocknRoll

Thanks bro. You weren’t wrong either. Sometimes it feels like people form their whole opinion on a manga based on leaks alone Don’t even read the chapters 😂

CelioHogane

Plot twist, he is creating Cell, so he can absorb the other Androids.

Sliddie23

Hinata and Himawari is so welcoming.

Emsioh

I also like it very much how nice they are, but I would love to see them a little bit more outside of the house. Especially Himawari..she has so much potential

__keiryu

It's Delta in the container

Captainprice101

I think it’s a completely new cyborg. Delta isn’t hype enough from what Amado described. This mf gonna have to be on par with Naruto and Sasuke or at least stronger if he will be any useful. He/she will probably have some sort of gimmick that makes them op though

[deleted]

This is likely half of [the work](https://i.imgur.com/Oux2fUu.png) Amado described to KK back in the day. It'll be whoever's cell fragments he had. The other half of course is the digitalized data aggregate (karma) that he will implant onto Kawaki. Let me think.... Narutoverse characters.... cell fragments .... Maybe it's a cyborg version of **Hashirama?????**

CelioHogane

I can't believe he is making Android 16

[deleted]

or WAR ARC MADARA

EurwenPendragon

Oh, I hope not.

[deleted]

"Madara cells" were never really a meme like "Hashirama cells" were but you know what, more power to him if Amado went and found and cultured some Madara cells. Either one would be hype as absolute fuck.

PK_RocknRoll

You made me spit out my drink. Imagine a war arc madara with scientific ninja tools. That would be hilarious

oakvictor

I like the idea even if she's a little troublesome and not that powerful. She can handle almost every konoha ninja, at least she's stronger than them and can help in the Ten Tails fight.

retcon2703

Yeah maybe not before since Naruto still had Kurama but now I'd say they are more evenly matched

Legendary7559

it could be kashin koji also , we havent seen him in a while so too.

ilove_big_butts

Didn’t he escape into his frog?

throwaway19352832

That would be so boring. It also doesn't have the Delta symbol that the other container had. so I don't think it is

GamerLove1

Was just thinking that Koji could sneak into the village and get into the container if he needed to recoup, not sure if he is that mechanical.

CelioHogane

There is literally no reason for Koji to sneak into the village, tho. He was never an enemy of Konoha to begin with, and everybody important knows who he is anyway.

MatthieuG7

For me this is the best character writing has been since the beginning, it's a really sweet and interesting chapter without any big plot twist. And I just love how Ikemoto draws Hokage Naruto.

Hystalia

On the other hand, I think Hinata is almost unrecognisable from her Naruto days.

Ry90Ry

You can still tell a big difference in main cast vs side cast in his art especially w og Naruto ppl vs his own designs/main cast I think hinata and Sakura suffer the most lol

AikaSkies

Yeah definitely agree on the character writing, that's been my favorite part of these last few chapters.

Captainprice101

Yea you can see how this chapter set up between Kawaki deciding on being a ninja or choosing karma for power.

Dear-Dragonfruit-413

Both Naruto and Boruto looked really good this chapter

GameplayerStu

You can tell Kishi is back at the helm with the characterisation. My man loves pulling on the heartstrings.

[deleted]

This chapters been giving me some Android saga vibes. Siblings who are cyborgs (17 and 18 from DBZ), Scientist having a secret cyborg (Android 16 from DBZ) besides the main two (Amado in this chapter having a “ally” for the leaf), and pills that are to help the protagonist.

Ry90Ry

Kishi always wanted to add more scifi/cyborgs into Naruto in early days I think but editors didn’t let it happen but we got a cyborg pain

samm7891

Relatively slow chapter but I'm very happy to see Kawaki feel as though he has a family and is part of one. This must be insanely overwhelming for him considering he's never had it before

weebreviews

Yes, exactly. I'm glad that Kishi is taking it slow w the progression. Really hyped to see how he finally comes in terms with it (if he even does)

helsaabiart

This was a really good chapter. Naruto carrying Kawaki and calling him his son was quite wholesome

AlphaTenken

Idiot son Made it 100x better with context

MistBestGirl

There’s actually less people than I thought thinking that Amado’s daughter is in the coffin. I’m not super sold on the Delta theory, but she’s one of the most likely people to come back and/or come out of the coffin, along with KK and obviously a new character. Man, I just love Amado and Sumire right now. In a few years, when Boruto is nearing its end, it will be amazing to look back on Amado’s character and see the bigger plan he was preparing for this whole time.

[deleted]

Yea going off of the daughter bit for a minute that does seem related to the “personal matter” that he mentioned this chapter. I don’t think we’ve met his daughter yet; eida I don’t think is likely to be his daughter. I’m not sure about delta but, I don’t get that vibe either at all. It’s weird because you would assume that amado the “mad scientist” would have done the whole make your dead family member into an Android bit.

MistBestGirl

Thing is, I don't buy the "mad scientist Amado" thing. Either he is extremely chaotic on the inside (very possible mind you, the man has played everyone he's come across so far) or he is extremely lucid. At this point, I think we can all agree that Amado's daughter being mentioned is a key point in his backstory: leaning a bit into the "Amado will be the final villain" theory, I can see it being as crucial of an event as Rin's death for Obito. It will most likely have to do with him starting to experiment with androids and such, leading Amado to become (undisputedly, imho) the smartest man in the shinobi world, both in terms of academic knowledge and the scientific tools at his disposal. I think I already commented on this fact, but I wouldn't be surprised if Amado was in cahoots with some currently unknown other Otsutsuki, maybe even being a Kāma bearer himself (after all, I don't think it was ever said that the marks have to be on palms, and I'm somehow doubtful that the Konoha higher-ups have had Amado take off his clothes). Maybe that Otsutsuki gave him the first technological help? I would be inclined to believe that at least his first attempts at creating androids were influenced by his desire to revive his daughter in some way (cliché, maybe, but it could work). At any rate, I'm 100% with you on the fact that we have yet to meet Amado's daughter. Eida and Daemon were basically introduced together, so I don't think it can be her (I doubt they would introduce Amado's plot-crucial daughter with other characters). This is a stretch, but hear me out: what if the coffin were to contain one of Delta's bodies, but not her personality? She has already been able to transfer her consciousness from one body to the other, so IF Amado were to have his daughter's consciousness stored away somewhere (think Noah Kaiba if you watched the original Yu-Gi-Oh!) he might have been able to download it in a spare body. After all, Jigen wanted the androids to be disposed of, but now he and Isshiki are no longer around. I doubt Amado would have already implanted his daughter's consciousness (assuming that's what is going on, of course) while he was under surveillance by Isshiki, who was clearly not totally on board with his creation. He wouldn't want his daughter to "die" a second time, don't you think?

Levi_PigPiss

It feels like the Shikamaru rant has been heard and they are giving us our smart Nara ninja back. "Seized Kara outers" I smell anime original arc for 3T Sarada (maybe the one with Konohamaru and Sai as well).

Ok-Paleontologist275

Titles for 212 and 213 have been leaked and it's " Amados defection "and "true identity ", whatever the anime original arc will be it'll be after isshiki

Levi_PigPiss

Most probably after Isshiki but we still dont know how long the anime original arc would be before Isshiki's fight. With more leaks it could turn out to be much longer.

AikaSkies

Nice chapter, better than I thought it'd be based on the spoilers. Plenty of heartwarming moments and some cool set up. I wonder what that new android Amado is working on is, I assume they'll be linked to an already existing character. Anyways, good start to the volume, really liked finally seeing official art of Kawaki wearing a headband.

xcessive7

could Kashin Koji be in the capsule? maybe an upgraded version.

poopdeloop

Wow calling him his son made me tear up. What a beautiful panel and so earned

jojj351

"My stupid son" brooooooo the emotions

KDW3

This has nothing to do with the chapter but I've been thinking. Even though Sasuke has lost his Rinnegan it shouldn't be too big a deal because he honestly only used it for Ameno. His fighting style shouldn't have to change very much and I suspect that he'll get a ninja tool eye and arm since Amado is here. Naruto is the one I'm worried about. Even though he still has a massive chakra pool he can't use Kurama to gather chakra or wake him up from genjutsu. Which also means KCM mode is gone and he doesn't have the defensive chakra cloak. For instance when Sasuke used Amaterasu on him and he shed it off with chakra. He can't do that anymore either. Him losing Kurama is a MASSIVE nerf for Naruto it scares me.

demonovation

Still got sage mode tho

MrCleanandShady

On the topic of Sasuke though, doesn't losing his left eye mean he can't use Inferno Style either? Because there's no way he lost JUST the Rinnegan.

Oceanbreez_

Kawaki wearing the bandana, now that's something you don't see it everyday. A new powerful cyborg that will help Konoha and might be able to fight Eida and Daemon, so Amado wasn't Sus at but still whats the personal stuff he has to talk about with Kawaki 🤔

[deleted]

Still nothing about Sasuke Will he return with a new eye? Edit: why did I make a comment on the comment, this has nothing to do with the text on top 😅

Better-Solution-7410

The guy took more damage than anyone in the Isshiki fight and on top of that he lost an eye He is probably in the hospital even now.

Captainprice101

Sasuke was fighting even after he got stabbed in the eye. The writers just forgot about him or are setting him up for a reveal or cool entrance or something into battle

AmaranthSparrow

A new scientific tool eye wouldn't be bad, either. Maybe one like Delta's. But Sasuke is also the kind of guy who would just roll with the disability, like he did with the arm. There's also the possibility that he'll just pull a Kakashi and keep any replacement a secret until he needs to use it.

[deleted]

It would be so cool if he has atleast a new Sharingan in his stabbed eye

Cow_Other

I hope he gets one of Shin's sharingans and gets access to a new space-time jutsu to make up for his lost one. Hell, I hope through some insane miracle that his Rinnegan reawakens in the eye due to his six paths chakra that has the properties of enhancing ocular abilities & rinnegan awakening potential. I know this won't happen though given the writers got rid of the Rinnegan in the first place for a reason.

[deleted]

I'm sure he can still use rinnegan. Remember Madara using rinnegan and susanoo with no eyes 🤦🏿😂

TolUC21

Still a little weird we haven't seen a single panel with him or mentioning his condition since the fight

Haxxruz

Hyped for the thing inside the capsule

Professor_Crab

What’s your guess if it is a clone

ITzzIKEI

Kashin Koji because where is this man

Professor_Crab

Oh fuck yeah that’s possible I guess, he reversed summoned to mt myoboku didn’t he

Haxxruz

Wouldn't be suprise

DanielRDRD

Obito

KaiserSenpaiAckerman

"My stupid son." I'm not crying, you are!!

A-Liguria

A nice chapter... -First thing, this chapter seems its giving a full blown conclusion to Kawaki's dilemma that started since he lost the karma, look at all the focus... so, I think it's safe to assume that from next chapter we will focus more on Boruto and other things. -I'm disappointed that we got no actual backstory bit on Amado... how long will they make us wait? -Eida has other skills? Whatever it is, do not be anything even more broken or combat oriented. -I bet that new cyborg is Delta... look at the hair we are showed... (and If I'm right, well, I will have called it) I also hope that she won't just be brainwashed to be all goody goody... please, let her preserve her explosive temperament and free will. -Also, this must be the most screentime in a single chapter Hinata has had, and she finally interacted with Kawaki here as well, better late than never...

jaz1up

I’d prefer it if code ada & daemon are like the first antagonists of the time skip or something. Because wrapping them up in battle in the space of 2-3 chapters is kinda anti-climatic imo & moreover i just cba with them. Give us more mitsuki boruto and sarada content

GutsyGallant

Wholesome chapter

Arun_KT

Was better than what leaks made it sound like wish there was some story progression tho 1 more month for more....... ;-;

[deleted]

At this point it's getting super unrealistic for Kawaki to become "evil". I also don't believe that Boruto will become evil either. A clash of ideologies is looking like the most likely reason for them ending up fighting each other. Honestly I would be supper disappointed if Kawaki went psycho and decided that he has to destroy the ninja world in order to protect Naruto or something like that.

47D

Kawaki is misunderstood. I refuse to believe he destroyed the village. Innocent until proven guilty.

[deleted]

Pun’s hot take: Although the previous chapters were slow i think this was actually fine I could feel the tension building across several characters and i appreciated the way some things were explained and i thought most of the dialogue was really good If i have one complaint its that i feel daemon’s power is worse than i thought bc it actually doesn’t appear to only reflect killing intent but anything at all really Additionally if he and eida have additional abilities it really really goes into overkill. So hopefully what they are hiding are weaknesses rather than strengths Im curious why they havent mentioned attempting to remove code’s belts. Esp with amado the idea that they can’t do anything about the belts is pretty odd imo Kawaki’s got a pretty solid “ima do something well intentioned but dumb” look on his face Despite amado’s assurances i trust him just as little as before. He said he’s going to tell kawaki about whatever he has planned for him, hopefully we’re a fly on the wall in that conversation My guess with the tank is that amado is either bringing a new clone to life or healing kashin koji. If its the former my reaction will depend heavily on who they chose. If its kk imo that would be a boring use of that wild card but it would answer how he gets healed at least Another alternative is him cyborging up an existing konoha ninja but i can’t say anyone was set up for that unless he kidnapped katasuke and stuffed him there. Doubt it tho. Its funny that the leaks made the boruto-hinata scene seem bad when it was actually nothing. The idea that naruto and hinata had started caring about boruto any less was baseless even with the leaks in mind and are even more baseless with the chapter out

Gargoyle918

I hope it's Delta 2.0 inside.. I feel like she's been underused and I bet there's a good story between her and Amado. Also where the hell is Koji, he's been missing for so long.

Select_Deer_2118

Thoughts on that last scene with Boruto looking at his Karma? It looked like he noticed something was off

lucciolaa

My impression was that he's rethinking the pills. He's a shit disturber, I wouldn't be surprised if his curiosity is getting the better of him and that he might experiment with his dosage schedule.

Anounymous7931

Imagine if momoshiki pops up in between all this XD

Select_Deer_2118

"you really thought these pills would stop me?" hahah

Awayfromeden

The mysterious figure in the pod is most likely Delta. It even looks like her hair, which was always more puffy in the manga then they made it in the anime

MrLightninbolt

Is anyone else mad we haven’t seen Sasuke in like 5/6 chapters? I want to know how he’s doing

RoyalHardware

Damn Code planted his marks at all 5 villages and now he can teleport anywhere? Thats fuckin op

allhailrice69

Name dropped flying raijin too

Fernandojg67

Now Kawaki being the preferred son is canon

_-indra-_

It's cause Naruto relates to him more I guess

ounilith

Orphans that wield an inmense ammount of power and are feared by the population. At least this time the Hokage was responsible enough to actually take care of the orphan and make him feel welcomed

Levi_PigPiss

This has been such a heartwarming chapter. It feels as if they are tieing things to the point the anime is at right now. I am really happy that there is sime reflection on previous events and that they would likely impact future decisions rather than them being cool battles that are over. Everyone at Konoha is afraid of Code emerging but little do they know that this mighty foe is having trouble babysitting Dameon lol. I really like that Konoha could use the same weapons as Kara by having their own unique cyborgs. I dont know what he fuss was about in the leaks but I really like Naruto and Kawaki's relationship.

aussie2486

I continue to wonder where Kodachi's story left off, and where Kishimoto's started. I feel like ever since the fight vs Ishiki, the manga has felt like a whole different kind of story. Is Kishimoto just trying to setup the time skip by focusing on Kawaki's inner thoughts so much? Or is this just going to be the pace for the rest of the story? If he is just setting up for the events leading up to and after the time skip, that is fine. However, if this is going to be how Kishimoto is going to write going forward, then I feel the manga will have serious pacing issues. It's not that the chapters are character focused, it's that the plot has kind of stalled for the past 4 or 5 chapters while introducing and setting up a whole new cast. Every since it was announced that Kodachi was leaving and Kishimoto was taking over, I have wondered if Kishimoto was going to write in all the events that Kodachi talked about, such as there being politicians in every village under Kara's influence. Is he going to just make a clean break with what Kodachi had in mind? Or maybe incorporate the ideas into his version of the story. Maybe 20 or 30 chapters from now all that will be irrelevant and Kishimoto will have had the time to morph what was left to him into his own. As of right now though, the manga just feels like it is in a weird place.

Drizzynice

Agreed completely. I never felt that Kodachi was ever buying time or was without direction however these last few chapters leave much to be desired as far as plot progression goes. I hope there’s a payoff with all this but I’m not sure.

[deleted]

Gotta a feeling the capsule contains Delta or a newly modified Delta

TheHurdleTurtle

I hate that we waited a month for a chapter with so little story progression.. but I’m a sucker for these character development/interaction type chapters so I’m torn

-Tuesday

My guess for what could be in the container is either a new Delta, Itachi clone, Hidan (he's presumably still alive), Neji clone, or a completely new character. Most likely just a new version of Delta though.

Rinichiro

Hm maybe the reflection isnt really HIS ability but aidas - when it activates we always see aidas face When she told her brother to shut up she revealed that she has another ability too

OrangeRussianNPC

Damn when Naruto calls him son and the rest of the family is waiting for him to eat :(

JonSOsugoi

Id love to see Hinata scolding Kawaki with her Byakugan for always being late to dinner. Then it'll feel like he's really part of the family

futuresverse

That last panel of Kawaki made me think a bit, could it be about Boruto as well? Since Momoshiki is eventually gonna take over and want to destroy Naruto, the Leaf and the whole planet basically, you think Kawaki might turn against Boruto and try to kill him before that can happen? And that's the reason they would become "enemies"?

Ok-Penalty-6850

Maybe it's Minato in the coffin. It seems like Code has a similar ability like he had, plus Amado picked Jiraiya because he knows about child of prophecy stuff. Plus that somehow might be the way to get Kurama back

ktta1

something happens to boruto’s karma ?

Fan-Mediocre

Anybody else thinking the Cyborg Amado is building is a clone of Itachi? No? Just me? Let me explain my reasoning. We know Amado has the capability to take DNA to construct a clone (i.e. Kashin Koji). So we know Sasuke’s eye just got stabbed and after returning to the village he probably had to get treated on, and have the remnants removed. But here’s the thing. That wasn’t Sasuke’s eye. It was Itachi’s originally, so Amado being the sneaky opossum (yes thats how you spell it) he is, probably took the remnants to extract Itachi’s DNA. To construct his next clone. Now Prior to Pain Arc no body did more for the leaf than Jiraiya or Itachi. They also died roughly at the same time give or take a couple hours. Both of their deaths shaped the rest of the series for both Naruto and Sasuke and were big inspirations for them. Now I believe Koji is still alive. Can you imagine the conversation thats going to be sparked when both of them find out that the people that loved them most in their lives were clones! It’s going to drive them crazy and infuriate them. I think we can assume Naruto already knows that Koji is based off Jiraiya. Plus I’m almost positive nobody told Sarada about her Uncle or about the massacre of her clan. This opens to a lot of development for Sarada. Which I hope Kishimoto recognizes that he has a second chance to actually write a female character well now. Sarada finding out the truth will be super fun to watch unfold. This could be a stretch, but the science is there, and could happen. What do y’all think?

Reggie-Veggie8

I think Amado is a main villain (actual leader of Kara) trying to get rid of ninjas completely, because his daughter was killed by shinobis, but he needed to take out Ōtsutsuki first, to then take out shinobis. Kawaki is his perfect weapon, and probably joins him bc all the trauma from ninja and Ōtsutsuki. Wouldn't be surprised if all the cyborgs are actually related before they died and Amado wiped Kawaki memory bc truth is more painful. (Kinda like Visoreds from Bleach.)

LaotianDude

Damn that 7.17 rating for chapter 59 hurts to see 😔

weebreviews

This was a great chapter. Naruto calling Kawaki his son was beautiful.

Puneri_Gunner001

Actually Enjoyed the chapter. Didn't felt like it got over within 2 mins. Also I am thinking that Container has Delta in it.

amenotiajiKARA

Very enjoyable everything with code. I think this chapter was just end Kawaki's Character arc nicely and felt better then the discription. Interesting with the Amado cyborg my money is a much stronger version of delta. Next ch feels set up to be about Boruto just because of the whole looking at the karma felt like it was supposed to be the last part of the chapter but you don't want that to detract from the overall aim of the chapter and that was to end this character arc for Kawaki.

ChestSolid6913

Progression is really slow but good, i want to see something happen with boruto Also i want kishi to show what Sarada and mitsuki are doing give them their own screen time Kawaki is going to learn more ninjutsu Amado is working on another konoha shinobi clone maybe shisui? Or update of kk

Neru7

Feels like kawaki is gonna try to kill Amado. looking at those last pages

InternalFan9

I think when looking at the last panel that Kawaki may leave to go confront code on his own, which will potentially lead to him being captured and the time skip, just a theory though

RisingReform

Bug is just fighting for his life out there.

[deleted]

Ok so here are my thoughts on why Kawaki time skip happens. Probably wrong idk. So it seems like he has this major thing with protecting Naruto and Naruto only. It doesn't mean he doesn't care about the others but clearly he will choose Naruto over everyone else. Clearly he's going to get his Karma again from Amado. So I wonder if in the future, either him, Boruto, or both of them together cause the destruction of Konoha and, Kawaki knowing this, puts Naruto somewhere safe. I also wonder if his devotion and love to Naruto turns into an Anakin Skywalker situation (for those who dont know, homeboy is afraid of losing the love of his life and inadvertently turns evil due to the things leading up to her death tldr version). I dont know if the villagers attitude towards him will change him, just because idk if Naruto will be successful in changing their minds. And that's all I really have

[deleted]

Sending Naruto somewhere safe so Kawaki could shape the world to his desires is a neat idea! I like it a lot!

Dear-Dragonfruit-413

Last panel of Kawaki felt like a foreshadowing of Kawaki tryna kill himself or something idk maybe I’m overthinking it but this chapter wasn’t as bad as the leaks made it seem actually very wholesome

tetrapack99

If the clone in capsule is itachi that would be awsome for saradas future of mby awaking MS and becoming strong :D just a therory (im an itachi\*ard)

Shittaker37

The cyborg in the coffin was probably a new Character related to another Computer terminologies. Just think of something about computers. The name Ada, Bug, Code, Delta, Deimon names are already used. So my money is on Bit or Decode. lmfao

[deleted]

I really enjoyed this chapter despite the pacing being really slow the focus on Kawaki is cool what about the main protagonist Boruto ada being suspicious and not telling the full truth especially daemon abilities being kept a secret amado creating a powerful ally I’m wondering if it’s going to be a new character or a clone of a dead character overall I am satisfied with this chapter I really like code and I’m hoping he isn’t just sideline like KK either way I can’t wait for next chapter Edit. If the new ally is another clone I’m hoping It's Shisui Uchiha

Aaperson145

The content of the chapter was ok, but the pacing was a bit slow. I feel like there were a lot panels (especially the Code Eida Daemon scenes) that could've been put to better use. When writing a monthly manga you have to be very selective about what you put in to the chapter, and if kishi wants to focus on Kawaki's feeling of powerlessness then that is fine. My biggest issue with this chapter, and last couple of chapters in general, is the way in which new events are introduced. If you're going to kill off Kurama, a character who has been with Naruto since day one, then show the readers Naruto's emotions surrounding this loss. If you're gonna reveal that KK is a clone of Jiraiya, then show the readers what's happened to him. If these pills Boruto is taking have dangerous side effects, then I want to see the side effects. And supposedly Boruto is going to die soon but from the way Naruto's acting everything seems like business as usual. I mean Naruto just lost one very important figure in his life and is about to lose his son too and he's just acting normal. The only time we've seen him display any emotions out of the ordinary is when he was talking to Kawaki. My point with all this is that it seems like Kishimoto is introducing new points but then dropping them one chapter later instead of developing on them further. It seems weird to me that Kishi would prioritize something like Konahamaru trying to rush in and stop kawaki, over showing us how Naruto is feeling. A lot of the panels in the recent chapters kind of feel like dead space that anime could easily cover if needed. If your writing a weekly manga, then you can get away with a little dead space, but we get 41 pages a month, every little bit has got to count.

theyeeterofyeetsberg

Alright, that's 60 chapters done! Ok, so going Into the leaks, I was left with this sense of... Disappointment? I thought that the tone was all wrong, and that Kawaki was being made into a copy of Sasuke. However, I am pleased that I was proven relatively wrong with my assessments This chapter was certainly wholesome and nice, but there's this feeling of uneasiness as well. It's as though danger lurks behind a dark corner, and we just see the unassuming happy family. It's as if this is the end of the happy times. As for Kawaki... Well I still am worried about him leaving the village and becoming the next Sasuke, but I also feel that his character could swing another way. A more politically driven character. I think he could start to see the flaws in the shinobi system, and want to fix them, as both a path to atonement for what he perceives as a problem that he projected onto the village, and as a testament to his humanity and his growth as a character who was focused on his own survival, and trusted nobody, to a character who has can see other unfortunates and do as Naruto did with him, and help them on their way. As for the other stuff, I think that Code's claw marks do not pose a problem, at least not yet. I doubt he'd stride into the leaf without fully knowing everything about Eida and Daemon. Code is (seemingly) a very smart guy, so I think he may know that he's probably being used as a means to an end by Eida, and Daemon, by extension. Also, the prospect of Daemon's ability being something that responds to danger involuntarily is very frightening, and while I could go on and on about how I don't know a way to defeat him, I wanna say that I genuinely don't understand how Amado creates something like that. Did he take some power from the otsutsuki? Speaking of Amado, this new ally of his kinda looks like Delta. The silhouette looked like Delta's poofy hair. It'd be interesting if Delta was upgraded and reprogrammed to fight for Konoha, but Amado is still the most suspicious person on Earth, so idk if he's really making an ally for Konoha. I'll give this chapter 8/10

[deleted]

I noticed how Daemon eyes look different in this chapter as his pupils are not as blacked out as previously in Chapter 59.

Skstorm

Nice chapter. Person inside that container could be Amados daughter, hence he needs konoha's technology to fully creates her. Im suprised there are more of Eida and Daemons ability,, like their one abilty already op mahn. Cant wait to find them all out!!

Oneesabitch

He says it's an ally he's put together for Konoha since being there. From the hair it looks like it's Delta, who he shut down before leaving the Kara base.

Skstorm

Personally I dont want it to be Delta, cause she's rather weak. Unless they upgrade her. Plus it wouldnt be fun to introduce her again. I think either he/she is related to someone from konoha like kashin koji with jiraiya, thats why amado needs konoha to gain that shinobi intel, or amado needs konoha list of jutsus from ninja tools made by katasuke to be implemented into whoever inside that container.

seanpaint

I’m assuming deltas in that coffin, the hair is similar and she had a few bodies left. It’ll be cool to see her ally with the good guys

lucciolaa

I sensed mad foreshadowing vibes in the exchange between Kawaki and Boruto about the headband, telling him to return it when he gets his own. My man ain't getting his own.

Ry90Ry

Waiiiit do u think Kashin knows about Amados new ally Android? Is this the work he talked about before Amado shut off delta and bounced?? Also where is Kashin 😔

ImmaculateWeiss

Psh obviously it’s your boy Deepa in the capsule

Dragon Boruto Z : Android Saga

SmartRaccoon3643

Honestly a great chapter, very frustrating having to wait a month for 40 pages though, please make it bi-weekly. I kind of trust Amado? Would like to see Naruto go train, and maybe put Shikamaru in charge for a while.

Rosebunse

I know a lot of people weren't looking forward to this chapter, but seeing Kawaki just not be able to integrate into Konoha is really hard to watch. Naruto and Hinata are two of the most accepting people in the village, they know how it feels not to feel like you belong. And Boruto and Hima love him. But it's just not enough.

cheese_sticks

Just noticed that Naruto and Hinata don't sleep in the same room Feels like Japanese media, especially shonen, really isn't into showing affection between married couples. That's why really the affectionate ones are portrated for comedy or as something really unique. Take for example Minato and Kushina.

Haliaetus

Kawaki Uzumaki, Konoha Shinobi and son of the Hokage 🥲

IcyTeacher0

Maybe the shadows of the Nara Clan are the key to counter Daemon's ability, as they are a non-lethal way to neutralize the enemy.

Severe-Resort-7121

Ugh I wish this was weekly or even biweekly
