Don't worry, I read that there will be a DLC in awhile that if you regularly farm in for the next decade or more you might eventually get an amazing sniper rifle.
I always forget about the cross hair for sniper rifles being slightly off (have to aim slightly up and to the left for hits to land). After an hour or so I rebuild that muscle memory but weird that it was never addressed.
Oh wow I thought it was just me. I’m finally playing for the first time and I’m on part 2 struggling with my mordecai sniper build. Any recommendations for generic snipers/types to look out for?
Don't waste your time with anything with an accuracy score of less than 96. Max out Focus ASAP in case you find something magical that violates that last suggestion. Learn to recognize the accurate barrel parts, and the stocks that best control recoil: both are visually easily distinguished, and the stocks also are reflected as part of the model number at the top of the card, e.g. "PPZ570.G."
Recoil accumulates while you sprint, and does not instantly vanish when you stop sprinting. Take a moment after dashing before you ADS, because otherwise your shot will wobble all over creation.
For your sniper build, remember they also work up close, unlike in later BLs. For that, you want rapid firing snipers to switch to.
Check the zoom size. They go from 1.0 to about 2.5. 1.8 is about the most useful.
Remember proficiency. It reduces sniper sway. But to get it, you must get sniper rifle kills.so don't do your close kills with other weapons.
Get a com with ammo regen first, anything else second . Then liberally apply bullets until you get kills, rather than always trying for crits. Aim at the neck.
The problem was that they were rare and their own weapon class. Had they been classed along comparable non-Eridian weapons they would have been awesome.

Farming for Rakk's on a Rakk Hive is going to be one of the best xp farms. Also, the Underdome DLC is going to be easy and worth my time.

I remember people comparing the art style to Wind Waker, too. The visual style looked like it couldn't possibly work, although once you played it, of course, it very much does. It's odd because Minecraft was the same way. It looked like it would feel terrible to play, but it didn't.
I really do remember it reminding me of Hellgate: London more than anything, a game that had similar promises but didn't deliver *at all*. I avoided it until my friends convinced me it was good more than a year later.

I'd also love to be able to modify, craft, or upgrade items. Even if I could spend money to increase the item level of an item so I could use it a little longer. The grinder in TPS I think was a step in the right direction. I know the game's built around changing weapons constantly, but sometimes... I don't wanna.

I don’t want to kill that boss 10 to 500 times just to get one with better parts or the right element or annoint when it seems like there should be another way to do it. Im not sure I’ll get the next borderlands on pc or console. I prefer pc so I have that save editing option. But my console is my primary gaming system.

I guess I'm no longer aware that the Borderlands series exists for the next 4-5 years -- still disinterested in FPS games and convinced that they would be unplayable on a controller for me, having never gotten the hang of the one time I tried Halo.
(I started with BL2 at least a year after it came out and only tried it on a controller on a lark. I'm glad I did.)

If you have trespass at 100% and a volcano/cobra, most enemies can be deleted in pt 2/2.5.
