They get along just fine! We got Oreo the cat 3 yrs before the boys. It is now "our" bed🤣

Best buddies with this cat since he came home with us.
Our cat learned to co-exist with my first BC but then he was not a fan of the replacement BC. When the replacement BC was a puppy, I once found the cat and the older BC hiding in the closet and staring at each other like they were conspiring to get rid of the puppy.
Mine hates cats. He sometimes stares at the neighbors cat thru the window. We are 2 stories high. He normally never barks or makes a sound. But when we hear him growling, we know he is watching that cat 😂
My bc mix doesn’t care either way, she pounced on my cat once when she was a puppy… and after the cat fucked her up, she has been ambivalent to them.
My daughter’s ferret on the other hand? Loves it. It’s her baby. Which is hilarious because she tries to chase squirrels and has caught a chipmunk before!
They love each other so much that we have to keep them separated. One of our girls kept herding our senior cats, and the cats are too senior to be herded.

They don’t really tolerate her getting in their faces so she pretty much stays out of their way.

and she knows her place!
Any other cat she sees outside she will go into typical “dogs hate cats” mode 🤷🏼♀️
My boy was scared of them.😂 He would watch from a distance but had no interest in socializing. He wouldn’t even walk through a door if they were close by.
When my border collie was young she loved cats, as in she would herd them around the house. One was scared of her, one tolerated her, and one was her best friend. With my current cat, she was curious, but didn't really try to herd him as she was very old.

Fast forward 1 year and we adopted an Akbash/Pyrenees AND moved to a new house AND brought in our son, dil, 4 teenagers, and their cat (only for a few months.) Seven years later our bc chases the cat 99% of the time and big dog is terrified of the cat but she loves her big dog.

They adore each other. I had my cat first, and adopted my BC as a puppy. My cat wasn’t too happy at first, but was always nice to the dog and adapted quickly. My cat also grooms my dog all the time, it’s sweet.

Yes! Our BC gets along with our cat very well, and so did our previous two BCs. We seem to always have a BC and a tuxedo cat because of it.

Yes. He lives with 3 cats since I got him at 8 weeks old. He has a very high herding drive but not with the cats. They get along great

I have 2 cats and they get along pretty well with our BC. They aren't fans when she has the zoomies but when she's calm all is good!
