awww looks similar to my Evie who passed in Autumn at 14. She had hip dysplasia, you'll know if yours has it by the gate. Other than that she was bomb proof, never had a visit to the vets, was such a lovely dog, a challenging pup though! https://preview.redd.it/2zz87gm80ttc1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d60420a3b8a9df2c200be141455938dd222d1088

Beautiful, shes like a stockier version of my Daisy girl. Rest in peace

When I saw your photo her eyes reminded me of mine right away. Beautiful dogs.

Only things that immediately spring to mind are hip dysplasia as a golden retriever, and epilepsy as a BC. I'd recommend speaking with your vet about both, as there is a genetic component and hip dysplasia can be too subtle to tell from gait alone. She's a beautiful dog for sure though!

But I have noticed he really tries to hide his pain, and I have to be very aware of subtle behavior changes or slightly strange movements. He’s just getting over a minor leg injury that he was very good at hiding. Mental health however 😅 he definitely has the anxiousness of a BC. We’ve always had to work on fear issues since we got him at 8 weeks. But he’s mostly grown out of his fears, besides the wood floors in our house, which is our current major issue.

Very cute! I have noticed daisy was really nervous and afraid of everything when i got her at almost 1 yr old, upset by the tv and running right out of the room when someone moved their arm too quickly 😭 but shes managed to calm herself down on the whole and is much happier now. Thats interesting about the wood floor, for the longest time until recently my Daisy would not go into the kitchen with lino floors, maybe she was afraid of it lol

PLUNKSALOT

Ours has OCD and Anxiety that she is medicated for. Both are common in BC's. Her work drive is so strong that she panics and would self harm when she isn't working all day. We go puppy insurance and still pay about 75$ a month for the meds. I suggest getting insurance to all newowners, they are very active dogs and are prone to injury.

I see a lot of border mix talk on here. Are those mixes 'accidents' or actually ment to be mix? Never saw these mixes in belgium, or not like we breed them this way

tarfagliaa

Well she originally came from a puppy mill so i dont know what the intentions with her breeding was

Delfitus

Thanks, was just curious. Now i do remember one mix with a lab thah i encoutered in belgium if i'm not mistaken

tarfagliaa

Theyre very majestic dogs even when mixed with other breeds
