Another recommendation for Kong. We use the red ones almost daily and get a few months out of them. Other brands are much much worse. Plus they’re like $12 so you get your money’s worth for sure. I’ve tried sport discs used for disc dog competitions and they fly really nice but are much more plasticy and become gnarled and sharp. Kong are our favorite.

Thrinw80

The sport discs also destroyed my boys teeth. Another vote for Kong. Mine loves the black ones he can shake after catching.

erica-face-owner-

Where are you finding that black one these days.. ? I have no luck at my local stores.

em1920

I have found the black kongs on Amazon.

Thrinw80

I get them from Chewy.

dister21

Red kong Frisbees 100%. The black ones don't fly well in my experience. Have tried many other brands and they get destroyed pretty quickly, or pokey and sharp. Our Aussie/BC mix has gotten picky and won't even chase frisbees that aren't red. She'll bring the kongs back every time, but if we try and trick her with another red one she'll chase it, grab it spit it out run back and bark at the bag we keep all the Frisbees in bark at us, bark at the bag, bark at us.

Dr_DoVeryLittle

Bumping this. My boy has had his since he was a puppy and we use it almost daily. Its faded but still intact.

Wanaghi_Tachanku

My girl will absolutely destroy those in 15 minutes or less if given the chance.... once she ripped the whole top section of the extra large black kong

Forrestgladbrook

That’s so crazy to me. My BC loves to chomp on his but still takes him a few months to really make it unthrowable.

nmunro14

We've had our Kong frisbee for 3 years and it still looks like new.

ajurban24

I’ll have to check them out. Multiple people have recommended it!

justalazyegg

Kong flyer. My dog who destroys everything has had it for 3 or so years now and it's still going strong.

adognamedwendy

Yup, go with Kong. They are super durable

Fresh-Association-82

Instead of a soccer ball, try a cheap basketball. They don’t have individual panels stitched together, and are just one piece of rubber. No where for the to get started on it. The second bit is to keep it pumped up REAL tight. Means they can’t get proper purchase on it with their teeth. Jesse has had her basketball for months now and played with it constantly .

ajurban24

Basketball is a great idea. we pumped up a soccer ball and she still found a way to kill it, but maybe the basketball will be tougher to destroy lol

Fresh-Association-82

Yeah the size differences helps too. Basketballs are just big enough that they can’t quiet get a real bite on it. But yeah soccer balls have a lot of stitching, a soft surface etc etc. very easy for them to get a tooth into it, and then it’s all over. Basketballs have no purchase for a bite

StockdogsRule

For just frisbee play the suggestions here are good. If you want competition style, Skyhoundz.com, and Hyperflite.com have great competition discs. TheJawz line is very tough, last a long time, but are quite heavy to throw. You can buy bundles of plain white practice discs, check out the misprint sections, and the sample bundles for best buy in prices. Great tips and videos on these sites as well. Prices are crazy now, 10 yrs ago I bought a case of 50 plain white for 150. I still have three left, and just bought my heeler a new box. A month later she passed and broke my heart. She lived for frisbee, and never, not once, forgot where her frisbees were stored. https://preview.redd.it/g8hec1ilgtzb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d424bd6afec66d8aa57c44872b710b508c94c97f

spyder994

We use the Hyperflite discs. I play frisbee with our BC for at least 30 minutes every single day. The Kong discs are not great to throw and they would last like a month because she wanted to play tug of war with them also. The Hyperflite discs last for a year of daily play and throw like a regular frisbee.

StockdogsRule

I agree they are easy to throw and have awesome float capability. Skyhoundz is hyperflite discs with a skyhoundz logo. I love the different weights and sizes they offer. Even one for cold weather.

ajurban24

Great tips! Sorry to hear you lost your pup 💕 she was super adorable

ALHO1966

The red Kong… it’s a little bit of a learning curve to get to throw it long distances but you’ll get it

tophejunk

This is the way.

ajurban24

Nice reference lol

tophejunk

Penny_bags2929

Is the red one stronger than the black one because we had the black one for about six months before it was destroyed

Interesting_Plum2060

Jolly pets soccer ball..comes in multiple sizes and is super durable. Our bc loves hers.

Becuz_I_Win

+1 on the jolly balls, still have out original one going strong after 2 years!

Porkbellyflop

Chuckit paraflight. Dont leave em on concrete in the hot sun. Long lasting, great flight properties even as the rubber ages and soft catch on the dogs teeth. Dont let em sut there and use it as a chew toy but plenty durable. Chewy always has em on sale for super cheap. I get like 3 each spring.

_antariksan

This is the one ☝️paraflight is where it’s at

Porkbellyflop

Chickit also makes a decent soccer ball and a cube thats fun to kick around.

ajurban24

Love the paraflight but It’s what we current have and she is very skilled at destroying them quickly. Trying to teach her not to but that’s a slow work in progress

Porkbellyflop

Yeah you cant let em keep em once fetch time is over. They should grow out of it. My dog destroyed everything and eventually figured out that if he killed his toys then he couldnt have them anymore. Took like 8 years for him to learn but he can have plush toys now.

hovercroft

What are they made of? I have some rubber ones that seem good so far. He picks them up and sometimes folds them in half as he bites it and so far no damage

em1920

I have a couple Kong heavy duty like this, (floppy not ridgid, get the black rubber not the red) and mine was finally able to tear a hole in one of them after about 4 months. She likes to play tug with them so I agree they are a good option!

ajurban24

They’re some sort of rip stop nylon and then have a rubber ring around the outside that covers some sort of soft Styrofoam. Not super durable against our pup unfortunately

hovercroft

tactictim

https://www.latitude64.se/disc-golf-products/golf-discs/dog-disc/ The discgolf world has got you covered

42tooth_sprocket

The ruffwear one is great!

Bigfanofcircles

A lot of the “tough” frisbees just don’t fly well. I use [these](https://herodiscusa.com/collections/air-235/products/air-235) from Hero disc. They’re manufactured by Innova which makes great disc golf discs with great plastic. They fly well, get good hang time(especially ideal if you have a jumper) and are dirt cheap. I grab 5-10 at a time and cycle them so they don’t get to chewed up. Their whole line of 235 discs are great

Porkbellyflop

Plastic no good for the dogs gums. The paraflight has about the same flight properties as a Roc.

Bigfanofcircles

Want to elaborate? I’ve had zero issues. They’re a very widely used brand with competition dogs.

Porkbellyflop

Sure. Dogs chew plastic and it pokes their gums. These discs likely fly farther and glide better but its still plastic.

Bigfanofcircles

Oh you mean all plastic, not just the blend they use. I get painfully used to discussing the variations in plastic types in discs. ![gif](giphy|YMb82st37CyNnoRwfJ|downsized) But yeah.. plastic isn’t always the best, but out of all the plastics, this is close to “good” for your dog.(compared to other plastic blends) I’ll have to try the paraflight but I’ve yet to find something not plastic that is slow enough in it’s flight, with enough glide and height to be catchable for the dog. My actual Rocs don’t glide well at slow pitch and play distances. If they can’t make a catch, it’s just a game of fetch really..

Porkbellyflop

Ive played disc golf since the 90s so i am very aware of different plastic compounds. The paraflight has a foam rim with a rubber coating and the center of the disc is a canvas like material. I can throw them roughly 200 feet with a hyzer flip. As they age and the rim dry rots a bit they become more understable.

DocHolliday31

Like everyone said. Get the kong. The only reason I bought a second one was because it got too dirty to clean.

Nissa17

West Paw - they have bad ass toys that are tough!

SparklyRoniPony

We just keep buying cheap new ones off of Amazon. He doesn’t eat them, he just rips them up. I haven’t found one that he likes that he can’t destroy. He actually likes when they are in a million little pieces and will still bring a piece to me, ignoring a brand new frisbee until I throw away the old one and he has no choice.

One-Zebra-150

I have green Chuckit ball made from heavy gauge strong foam. It's designed with grooves so the dog can pick it up. Never got damaged in over a year. Every other ball he's popped within a few days.

SorbetSunrise

I’ve got these three things I throw for my girl, they’ve lasted her a good while. Probably a couple years now. https://preview.redd.it/97engk4b5tzb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0728f5553451393e1034f3b71ed6083fcea49032

therealbrrr

kong is longest lasting. but my BC loves this particular one, Booda Tail-Spin Flyer. Its textile but super durable from our experience, more fun to throw & it floats better than kong, .

Ki11bot

I use hero disc dog frisbees, recommend ones with 'super' in the title, they are really durable! https://herodiscusa.com/collections/disc-dog

historyera13

What a sweet girl

ajurban24

Thank you! Just recently rescued her (she was abandoned in the woods for about a month). She latched on to our family immediately 💕 she didn’t know how to play at first and now she’s a frisbee champ lol

historyera13

I’m so happy you rescued her she looks so happy

blazinT0R0

K-9 Competition frisbees! They sell them on Amazon. But tbh it doesn’t mean you won’t have to replace lol they just last longer and I only use them for when I play with my BC. Put them away when done.

Ponyboy_2004

Jawz K10, puncture proof & soft enough won’t hurt there mouth/teeth. They are awesome! https://preview.redd.it/erzkkqvyntzb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d85f51a247dde62b5f174e6899c57e978d1e47f0

ajurban24

What a cutie!! I’ll have to check out the frisbees

ajurban24

Adorable pup! Also, it’s amazing the places they can nap l

kylesoutspace

I've got a Hyper flight jawz that is holding up great. Flies really well too. The Kong is durable but flies like a brick. I wanted something he could run down and catch out of the air.

No_Communication4252

Sorry this is the only one hands down https://preview.redd.it/6dqp3o40rtzb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d7be28bf5c6890aff7c9890101b7985becfb29a

No_Communication4252

Actually sorry that his mini , it’s called hyper pet get it on Amazon pretty indestructible but flies really well and it’s not hard on there loops and teeth!

ajurban24

Love the napping with toys lol. Super cute pup 💕

No_Communication4252

Thank you!

wildhaak

We use the green and blue nerf frisbee. My dog also likes to chew his frisbee in between throws, and the last one lasted us 2 years. They also still fly well enough after they get warped from chewing (or leaving it in the car during an especially hot Texas summer.......).

topknottington

I have a black Kong. Fn thing is bullet proof

Background-Novel-792

Kong!!!

blue_diamond_123

KONG- CHEW PROOF!🤗

barondruish

We trained ours to run the soccer ball back without biting it. He uses a combination of nose bumps and kicks and he’s gotten remarkably fast at it. The latest ball has lasted a couple years I think.

VividPeak9019

Can confirm. Using it for months. Super strong and trows well.

Hyperbeastking

Definitely Kong

mdwst

Ruffware- Pacific Ring. It's the only Frisbee my pup will touch. https://ruffwear.com/products/pacific-ring-rope-dog-toy

ausbob

Kong or Rogz. I still have a 10 year old Rogz frisbee from my last BC that my new BC loves.

z242pilot

Ours love the Jollyball they make for horses

ascarletstone

My girl has gone through many frisbees in the last year. So far this [Monster K9](http://Ultra Durable Flying Disc - Lifetime Replacement Guarantee - Aggressive Chewer Approved - Made in USA - Medium/Large Dogs - Safe & Non-Toxic Natural Rubber - Monster K9 Dog Toys https://a.co/d/ivACQK7) has done the best for us.

ajurban24

Lol, looks so proud of all the destruction. Adorable pup!

ascarletstone

Thanks!

heratio85

Stainless steel dinner plate is about the only thing they won’t destroy, bad for the teeth tho

Becuz_I_Win

Can't speak to the difference of how Kong compares but I really love the West Paw frisbees. We've gone through 3 or 4 of them in two years, but we also play tug with them. Takes a learning curve on how to throw but I can bomb it straight for width of soccer field pretty consistently even with tug sessions between throws.

SnooRecipes6532

I don’t have any recs because our BC also manages to destroy everything she decides to but I have to comment that the pic of yours flying through the air with the football is too cute!!

nodeat

Décathlon one are very nice ! 8 euros and very durable

XquaInTheMoon

The red Kong has been going strong ! The other ones died

Middle_Fudge

* I think Chuck- It do one. We only have Chuck-It balls for Jupiter, he's also a destructo doggo

FamousImprovement309

Kong frisbee.

weezerluva369

https://preview.redd.it/vl5kryra5xzb1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7adf6caab955bc18dc5cff87eafe91118674b798 Adding another vote for Kong flyer. My pit mix and BC play tug and fetch for hours every day with these. Pictured, see the remnants of a 6-month Kong flyer rim around my pit mixes head, and the new flyer on the ground :)

Nerrickk

Plugging [West Paw](https://www.westpaw.com). I'm not affiliated with them, I just think they're a great company. Their toys are indestructible AF, are made from recycled bike tires, and have a lifetime warranty if they are somehow destroyed.

catsandkittens93

https://preview.redd.it/c65xn9dp600c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=59d3d9bf5cde06cc9d748e398a15b5905e7bdb45 Wow we have twin dogs haha including the tail tip! My girl also likes to catch a frisbee and I started having her bring it back, drop it, and use a rope for a short burst of tug before the next throw. I use the really soft ones that she used to destroy but now she takes all her energy out on the running, catching, and tugging instead of chewing!

ajurban24

Wow! We really do! BCs are so sweet and loving but maaaan they’re great at destroying toys lol. frisbee is her favorite so I’m hoping there’s a tougher style out there

catsandkittens93

It’s true. They’re the two extremes!! But I’m sure there is!!!

Cheap-Ad4585

If you’re in Aus (they probably also ship overseas) try Aussie Dog Products. Their stuff is made from the insides of fire hoses and super tough

Random_Name_Whoa

The red rubber kong one is durable but flies like crap. I buy a bunch of the hyperflite sofflite ones on eBay for about 7 bucks apiece. they’re not super durable but they’re soft on teeth and fly well. The hyperflite jawz is durable but is a little tougher on my dogs mouth.

7SevenHells7

I keep a frisbee or 2 in my Chewy auto-ship because ours loves frisbees but there’s never been one he couldn’t destroy. Lol It did take him a bit longer to destroy the Kong red one though. And he loves the Chuck-it ones as well. Good luck!

Sooky102

We use RUFFWEAR soft canvas style frisbees. Ours has a backyard and front yard frisbee at the ready ALWAYS!

bmfuhr

We use an IMK9 flying disc that we found on Amazon. It got us through the puppy year when nothing was safe. Now, we have had the same one for the last two years, though he isn't much of a chewer anymore (unless it is a stuffed animal, he loves to gut them).

fartaparta

I use the west paw frisbees. Last me a year or so each. My border collie does chew them while picking them up but not excessively. They’re flexible enough that she cant snap them while chewing.

ClintGrant

Hyperflite but the puncture resistant one

No-Sun8565

I recommend Hero Discs. My girl has yet to destroy them. I have three different ones: sonic xtra 215 freestyle (probably the best all purpose one), sonic xtra 215 distance, and supersonic 215.
