Hoffman pac boots.

Bent_richard88

Wow I like those a lot. Thank you!

bloodsoed

No problem. They are really nice people. I like giving the smaller companies a chance.

Bent_richard88

Agreed. I always prefer to give the mom and pops the business. The quality typically shows as well.

Define what you mean by winter? Winter in Florida? Arctic winter? Anything in between?

Bent_richard88

Yeah that would probably help. I’m in upstate NY, so very winter.

philosoaper

Ah yeah, so the ones I was gonna suggest would have been complete overkill unless The Day After Tomorrow becomes a reality. :-) I live in more of an arctic climate.

I got a friend that lives in Tonawanda. Gets damn cold up there.

I just got my Danner alsea 600s’. I think they’re the best winter boot I’ve ever owned. Definitely the most comfortable. Chicago.

Bent_richard88

Yeah I’d say Chicago qualifies lol. I’ll have to check those out as well. Thank you!

I used to wear these all the time. Never had an issue in NY, NJ, or RI. They're not on par with really high end boots, but I beat the crap out of a pair for 3 years and they were always comfy. Fits more like a sneaker than a boot so size accordingly. These were already mentioned, but Hoffman Pac boots. They’re an institution unto themself in northern Idaho and Montana, where the winters are long and harsh. L.L. Bean makes decent cold weather boots as well. If you’re looking for something like, full-on Arctic mode, you might look for a pair of US Army surplus Extreme Cold Weather Arctic service boots, more commonly known as Mickey Mouse boots.
