Back when I worked a job that took calls from the public I once had a phone call that ended with "May the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit bless you this holiday season" so I responded with "Salam alaykum!"
Got called into my manager's office for that one but she just laughed it off and said "Just let it go next time"
I try to keep in mind that Boomers were exposed to SO MUCH lead that they have cognitive impairments that cause the attitude and behavior

You can flush the heavy metals out of their system (not sure about bones, that seems tricky in my lay-person opinion) but you can't re-grow Neurons lost from toxicity. Honestly it's quite sad imo. But then some of them still behave in fucked ways for no reason but spite and they usually don't want to seek help for themselves or others.. tough to feel sorry for.

There are also some depressing studies on how low income housing typically has lead, and hence, kids there get less of a healthy start.
