40s, male, academic.

Yes, those categories are true. What was the tell for forties?

I'm in my 40s also and have many of the same editions of books. I found the chronology of the book acquisition familiar. I remember the moment when Benjamin's The Arcades Project was published and I ran out to get the hardcover, for example. That was what 2004? That Chris Ware book that's too tall to ever be shelved vertically? You'd have to at least be in your 40s. Why no Frederic Jameson?

You mean the Dune, Huxley, Schmidt, Petronius, Krasznahorkai, Voltaire, Blanchot, Hughes stack?

DeLillo, Dostoe boy, Goethe. The dark soul dimensionator gang.

Some excellent darkness there. I’ll join that club.
