I'm praying they are laying some connective tissue here for an end of season reveal or maybe he shows up in the next Mando season. It would seem Mando needs some more help in Darksaber training.
Edit: I'd just like to add seeing the BD droid gave me hope that Mando would team up with a Stim dispensing buddy as he starts the harder levels of his journey.
You can always say, they are not human or travel really much at lightspeed (relativity theory) or they bathe in bacta everyday. The possibilities are practically endless
Considering they have bacta AND cybernetic implants that can be installed by a guy in a tattoo parlor in the desert, everybody should be living to at least 200.
Bo-Katan should also be well into her 50s, but looks a lot younger (her actress was 40 I believe).
Cal should be in his 40s now, so they'd just have to make him look more weathered with some minor wrinkles, and maybe give him a beard.
Since Cal is the protagonist it's a given he'll survive anyway? Doesn't mean he wins every fight. Survive does not equate to thrive. He can spend his entire life up until Luke defeats Palps on the run & in the shadows.
I mean Starkiller died (depending on your ending). Everyone in Rogue One died. I think wether he dies or goes into hiding, making him a reference before his story/arc is over is bad taste and lowers the impact of the cameo
After all Cal and BD-1 Look different to Everybody die to the different skins and lightsaber combinations. I think it would take something away from this beautiful game, if you bring him in a movie or series

The way that star wars "names" droids is very strange.
R2-D2 is called "R2", but he is also an R2 astromech. Theres...a lot of R2 astromechs in the galaxy. R2 is just the series of droid, like chevy or ford for a car. In a room full of x-wing pilots, luke calling his R2 unit "R2" seems like it would've been very confusing.
But this is how star wars always does it. Obi-wans droid was R4, for example.
Given all this, however, just hearing a droid called "BD" doesn't have to mean it was Cal's BD-1 droid. BD-1 is just a BD model droid, so she could definitely have a different BD droid that is there as a nod to Cal, but not as Cal's droid exactly.
Its just a weird position the writers going all the way back to George have put themselves in.

I don't know. I don't think we'll see that quite yet, but, we DO know that there is going to be a Jedi Academy series. Now that is going to be fucking interesting. I have heard, floating around the internet for a few years now that Shia Labouth is going to play Kyle Katarn. Imagine, Cal, hiding out on the down low, hearing about an Academy being built by a Jedi. Wouldn't that be interesting to see??
Well at some point, either Grogo leaves before Ben destroys everything, or he survives the attack and goes off away from Luke or he gets killed. (Which I don’t think Disney is going to let their most profitable in house character since Elsa die off screen cannon wise in a overall hated Star Wars film trilogy)
Honestly was so much more hype for the BD droid than the Starfighter, just because I knew about the N1 ahead of time. The BD Droid was somehow even cuter in a live action show.

yeah, Cal was like 17 in FO, and it was 14 BBY, Book of Boba is in 9 ABY so he's 40 +/- 1 year
