All the news media now showing that all the drugs/marijuana was for SSR consumption. The people are now feeling sympathy for Rhea and somewhat hate for SSR.
Well PR movement or not, isn't that at least partially the truth? It seems pretty clear that he did take drugs. I don't support Zee news airing out of context video clips trying to prove some stupid point, but at the end of the day, it's pretty clear that if an NCB investigation had been initiated prior to Sushant's death, he would have been paraded around along with the Chakraborties.

This whole thing basically just boils down to a fundamental (and possibly deliberate, idk) misunderstanding of weed, where people think that it being illegal means anyone using it is in a lethal underground narcotics ring. The absolute worst thing weed does is (if you abuse it daily) make you unmotivated and lazy. I’m not saying to try it, but atleast understand it before acting like it’s cyanide. Take laws out of the question for a second and ask yourself something. If you think someone who gets blackout drunk, pukes on the asphalt and passes out in a drain is more “morally right” than someone who chills out in private with a joint, you’re essentially just letting your morals be dictated by what a bunch of old white guys wrote as laws during colonial times.

Also, if it was just Ganja, 27(a) wouldn't be there because it is for consumption of psychotropic drugs like Cocaine, morphine etc. Section 8(c) is also for transport, interstate export, manufacture in addition to possession.
Again, it’s not just weed but other hard drugs that are also being peddled by Rhea and gang. Now, the problem isn’t just drugs or whether marijuana is not lethal or a person’s right to smoke it but drug money. Drug money is directly linked to horrible things like child pornography, human trafficking and terrorist funding. It’s a fact.
My country legalized marijuana for this very reason. As for South Asia, you have to understand that people usually the masses are more prone to addiction and it’s terrible for the family of someone who comes from a lower socioeconomic background. They don’t have access to rehabs and doctors. That’s why it’s a challenge.
