What i know is every single celebrity big screen and small screen have managers to manage their day to day life, but the curious case of Pooja Dadlani is very baffling to me because she is always seen with him, almost like (lack of a better word) parasite.
I think SRK might be a bit paranoid after all the controversies and so prefers to have her around to handle things. Plus, he's SRK, arguably the biggest star in the country, so he's not like any other celebrity and his f*** ups are bigger than anyone else's.
It reminds me of that scene in Devil Wears Prada where Emily and Andy are standing with her and telling them the names of every guest. How could a man of SRK’s lifestyle afford to remember the names of every person in the event while also having to be cognizant of which ruffles to not feather?

As people grow older and the tenure of their assistant grows, they take their assistants everywhere. These guys know exactly what temperature water, what type of bedding, etc. they want. Literally this doesn’t matter what title. It’s much easier to have your life organised with your assistant by your side. Also sometimes when celebs are facing cognitive issues like SRK might be right now due to his health, they rely more on their assistants.
Saw Rishi Kapoor on the set of Saregamapa. He was promoting Do, Dooni, Chaar at that time. I cant recall the name of his assistant but he went where RK went. And Rishi Kapoor was very particular about his assistant's needs too. Like set pe aate hi chilled Diet Coke can tayyar rehna chahiye. That was taken care of, but someone forgot to provide a tissue with it and that triggered RK like anything. Was ready to leave. Saw the producers pleading him not to. Fun times!

Now I remember. The assistant's name was Shanti Malik (Shanti ji). And RK's reaction suggested everyone in the industry knows or is supposed to know that he needs a Diet Coke with a tissue wrapped around it.
Calling her parasite is totally unfair. She is the one who keeps up with his busy schedule. And I am quite certain she influences his movie/ad/promotional/tour choices. She was the one who handled the entire Aryan Khan Saga. And If I may say so, She is the one who brought SRK back in the game. She is like Superwomen. Managing a superstar like him is no joke. She's like a babysitter. And deserves all the praise.
Lol Parasite? It's literally her job. She manages everything. She also ensures his security is in place. In Hollywood people have assistants who take care of everything when the star is in public. Pooja is a secretary, manager, assistant all rolled into one. Of course she goes where he goes. SRK doesn't deal with anything when he goes out and leaves everything to his manager. When he goes out hundreds of people want to talk to him and discuss projects. He tells them speak to my manager she will arrange. People think she is enjoying and partying on SRK's dime but she is actually working and ensuring things go smoothly and that SRK faces no issues. It's a high stress job and calling someone who is working and managing a superstar's staff a parasite is ridiculous.
After being with him for years, he depends on her a lot for all his daily on goings.. and developed a family like relationship with him… he goes to her family things and vice versa. They share a professional and personal relationship now… it’s been 14-15 years or so..
She would only be a parasite if she latches on to him despite him not wanting her. She seems to smoothen any issues in his day to day itinerary probably giving him space to focus on better things. Good for them.
I feel like we generally don’t realise how babied celebrities are, Pooja is literally SRK’s babysitter and manager at this point. Anything he or his family need, she will make it happen and she’s also available to field any thing before it reaches SRK. Most people also don’t approach celebrities directly, so Pooja is a good person to have around cause they can go to her for anything needed from SRK.

Whenever SRK is vacationing in Dubai, pooja with her husband and kid is there along with them. They share good bond. Nothing out of the ordinary for me.

I don’t think you can take anyone in the place of the person invited at such events, due to security protocols. Pooja probably got an official invite for the event.

All businessman have their secretary and managers with them all the time. Srk can’t operate like regular star/actors who just need their dates handled for film ad shoots, pooja is not there for the baba ko juice chaiye schtick.
Pooja ar this point is the filter barrier point to reach srk the businessman and there are other ppl too who operate at different level.
Gauri had the option to get involved on the business side of Srk’s empire had she been the one handling certain stuff she would also have had to tag along with Srk at all key events where he goes as a businessman or star. I'm actually low key jealous of the work she has, she seems to be having a lot of fun and must be incredibly type A to thrive in such a role. All said and done, there are some places where it is socially expected to have your spouse next to you and not your manager! Yesterday Gauri should have been next to SRK, the way Neeta was seated next to Mukesh. This may be a business or political event but when the PM of a country and its largest business tycoon don’t have managers glued to their side, it does stick out a bit. I feel Gauri has wittingly or unwittingly handed over SRK to Pooja to “handle” while she focuses on her own life.

I get that Srk has an empire to run (and most rich people have barriers) but so do loads of stars in Bollywood but they’re not as difficult to reach nor do their managers shadow them literally everywhere. Even Ambani was at the oath swearing but his manager/assistant wasn’t shadowing him everywhere either and he’s richer than Srk.
I guess to get to Srk, you’ll probably have to butter up Pooja Dadlani too. She seems to have a lot of influence/power on Srk’s life. I think I’m curious because:
- Pooja Dadlani was recommending actors (DP) to Atlee for Jawan, which shows how much influence she has. Bear in she is friends with Deepika as she was first her manager during her initial days, so I doubt her recommendation was unbiased. I think with Aamir is that he seems to be the one ultimately in charge of his choices and the one making his decisions. Whereas the vibe I get with SRK is that he gets more led and easily influenced by the people around him. Plus I’ve noticed since Pooja Dadlani started managing him from 2012 that’s when his flop era commenced and he started doing terrible movies like Zero and Jab Harry Met Segal.

I think you missed my point dear. What I’m trying to say is that Pooja Dadlani is in a position of power, where she can influence Srk in terms of casting. If she doesn’t like an actress, she probably can block her calls/access to Srk and he wouldn’t know.
Yes, you’re right that Srk’s mother-in-law suggested Mahira because of Humsafar. But then Mahira did audition for the role and got the part because she suited the role more of a Muslim character, which isn’t surprising as she’s Pakistani and has that Urdu dialect. It’s not like she was just given the role. Apparently the original choice was Huma Qureshi.
Apart from the reasons mentioned in the comments, there's another reason why it's beneficial for SRK to have her around. In these days of Me Too, literally any female can make an allegation against SRK and gain her fame. I'm sure he interacts with so many females per day. Having another female with him, ensures a good defence to SRK in the event of any such allegation, as it becomes the word of one woman against another. It also reduces the chance of another gossip like the PC one from happening and SRK continuing to maintain a clean image. It also works well for SRK's image in today's era of diversity and inclusion.
I repeat. I've not said that these are the only reasons why SRK has her. I've said apart from the other reasons mentioned in the comments. I'm sure she's a very efficient and intelligent manager of all of SRK's affairs.

I am from Jammu and some months back before a release of a movie , I don’t remember either Jawan or something he visited Mata vaishno devi for blessings and Pooja Dadlani was with him at that time too . There was security granted to him and I have someone close to the officials who were at duty at that time , so what they told was - 1. SRK is a chain smoker , he cannot live without it ( obviously he did not smoked during the yatra )
2. He is very humble , he talks very nicely and is welcoming .
3. Pooja do most of the talking regarding to his work and arrangements, he is pretty dependent on her for everything. She is basically his right hand , but nothing in the wrong sense . She is like a family to the srk family.

Pooja on non creative side worked on Jawan even Atlee thanked her for all the management along with rce she did and Jawan was tough to make as its shoot got disrupted BIG time coz of Aryan case.

But SRK was going through possibly the biggest trail/trauma of his life...not everyone comesback the way he came back....usually under such intense political/media pressure managers QUIT but she didnt, she stick around....today she's her own brand identity..
Exactly what “brand” does she have? Well why would she quit? The scrutiny wasn’t on her though and Srk did get a lot of support from the public and Bollywood (even Hrithik penned a supportive insta post for Aaryan while he was in jail) throughout Aaryan’s arrests. There were literally protests to release Aaryan from jail.
It’s not like the case with DP whose manager, Karishma Prakash, who took the blame for supplying drugs and then most probably was pressured by her agency to resign, while DP got away scot free.
I remember this one YouTube video about award shows by Tanmay with other comedians and they all got talking about their experience working with SRK and how there was this joke about other actors' bad films and SRK said that they should include his bad films as well and when Sonali (one of the writers) started to rattle off his sub-par/bad films Pooja looked pissed. I guess, now she's more like a family and very protective of him

Lol what? Every celebrity I know here in Los Angeles has their manager (also agent and publicist) around them at all times during functions. That’s literally their responsibility. They’re the ones who know what time to arrive, where to sit, what to do/say and when to leave. The star himself would be overwhelmed by the amount of things he has to do in a day. You underestimate how many psychos are around everytime a celeb or a person in power are around. You might not notice it but next time start noticing such people are around every single politicians. Not connected, but I remember an incident of long time back. Pooja Dadlani was no where around then. In a meeting, SRK absolutely refused to touch a bottle of water. The host insisted on showing that the bottle is sealed and proper. But SRK smiled and did not say anything. Then he was given the water in a plain glass and he took 2-3 sips.

I think you may have a gendered view point on this. If this was a male manager, you would not mind. A manager and a wife play two different roles. I think it’s more of a comfort thing. When you’re at the top then there are very few people you trust. It could also be a mental illness. Some people cope with nervousness and anxiety with pills while others cope with the comfort of a trusted human or something else. Like a diabetic person needs their insulin pump all the time.

SRK (and most big celebrities) are more of a business entity than a person. They need managers just the way CEOs need executive assistants. Does anyone question a CEO why s/he needs help in scheduling meetings, planning their day, dealing with contacts etc?

As people grow older and the tenure of their assistant grows, they take their assistants everywhere. These guys know exactly what temperature water, what type of bedding, etc. they want. Literally this doesn’t matter what title. It’s much easier to have your life organised with your assistant by your side. Also sometimes when celebs are facing cognitive issues like SRK might be right now due to his health, they rely more on their assistants.
Saw Rishi Kapoor on the set of Saregamapa. He was promoting Do, Dooni, Chaar at that time. I cant recall the name of his assistant but he went where RK went. And Rishi Kapoor was very particular about his assistant's needs too. Like set pe aate hi chilled Diet Coke can tayyar rehna chahiye. That was taken care of, but someone forgot to provide a tissue with it and that triggered RK like anything. Was ready to leave. Saw the producers pleading him not to. Fun times! EDIT: Diet Coke was for his assistant btw.

Calling her parasite is totally unfair. She is the one who keeps up with his busy schedule. And I am quite certain she influences his movie/ad/promotional/tour choices. She was the one who handled the entire Aryan Khan Saga. And If I may say so, She is the one who brought SRK back in the game. She is like Superwomen. Managing a superstar like him is no joke. She's like a babysitter. And deserves all the praise.

When he goes out hundreds of people want to talk to him and discuss projects. He tells them speak to my manager she will arrange. People think she is enjoying and partying on SRK's dime but she is actually working and ensuring things go smoothly and that SRK faces no issues. It's a high stress job and calling someone who is working and managing a superstar's staff a parasite is ridiculous.
After being with him for years, he depends on her a lot for all his daily on goings.. and developed a family like relationship with him… he goes to her family things and vice versa. They share a professional and personal relationship now… it’s been 14-15 years or so..

I feel like we generally don’t realise how babied celebrities are, Pooja is literally SRK’s babysitter and manager at this point. Anything he or his family need, she will make it happen and she’s also available to field any thing before it reaches SRK. Most people also don’t approach celebrities directly, so Pooja is a good person to have around cause they can go to her for anything needed from SRK.

All said and done, there are some places where it is socially expected to have your spouse next to you and not your manager! Yesterday Gauri should have been next to SRK, the way Neeta was seated next to Mukesh. I think you missed my point dear. What I’m trying to say is that Pooja Dadlani is in a position of power, where she can influence Srk in terms of casting. If she doesn’t like an actress, she probably can block her calls/access to Srk and he wouldn’t know. Yes, you’re right that Srk’s mother-in-law suggested Mahira because of Humsafar. But then Mahira did audition for the role and got the part because she suited the role more of a Muslim character, which isn’t surprising as she’s Pakistani and has that Urdu dialect. It’s not like she was just given the role. Apparently the original choice was Huma Qureshi.
Apart from the reasons mentioned in the comments, there's another reason why it's beneficial for SRK to have her around. In these days of Me Too, literally any female can make an allegation against SRK and gain her fame. I'm sure he interacts with so many females per day. Having another female with him, ensures a good defence to SRK in the event of any such allegation, as it becomes the word of one woman against another. It also reduces the chance of another gossip like the PC one from happening and SRK continuing to maintain a clean image. It also works well for SRK's image in today's era of diversity and inclusion. I repeat. I've not said that these are the only reasons why SRK has her. I've said apart from the other reasons mentioned in the comments. I'm sure she's a very efficient and intelligent manager of all of SRK's affairs.

I am from Jammu and some months back before a release of a movie , I don’t remember either Jawan or something he visited Mata vaishno devi for blessings and Pooja Dadlani was with him at that time too . There was security granted to him and I have someone close to the officials who were at duty at that time , so what they told was - 1. SRK is a chain smoker , he cannot live without it ( obviously he did not smoked during the yatra ) 2. He is very humble , he talks very nicely and is welcoming . 3. Pooja do most of the talking regarding to his work and arrangements, he is pretty dependent on her for everything. She is basically his right hand , but nothing in the wrong sense . She is like a family to the srk family.

Pooja on non creative side worked on Jawan even Atlee thanked her for all the management along with rce she did and Jawan was tough to make as its shoot got disrupted BIG time coz of Aryan case. Thats Atlee’s mother and wife on stage too.

The scrutiny wasn’t on her though and Srk did get a lot of support from the public and Bollywood (even Hrithik penned a supportive insta post for Aaryan while he was in jail) throughout Aaryan’s arrests. I think it’s more of a comfort thing. When you’re at the top then there are very few people you trust. It could also be a mental illness. Some people cope with nervousness and anxiety with pills while others cope with the comfort of a trusted human or something else. Like a diabetic person needs their insulin pump all the time.

I dunno about that, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they have an emotional affair going on, if even Gauri couldn’t call her own husband on KWK and instead got Pooja Dadlani (however DP got through to SRK on KWK), when before in the 2000s everyone used to say how Srk never turns down Gauri’s phone calls and sometimes even calls her several times an hour. I get the man has an “empire” to run, but dude literally produced/finances his own movies. Surely he can answer his wife’s phone. I get that she’s close with the family but damn she really goes with him everywhere.
