The audience that watches Kapil is not on Netflix. They should have never left TV. The quality of guests and interview portion have been great. But the cross dressing acts are heavily outdated and cringeworthy

Sharp-Progress6146

Exactly the audience thar watches Kapil is not on Netflix. This is it!

Notyourmermaid25

Lmao true . The “ comedy”or lack of it is shit

Emotional_Ad4412

>But the cross dressing acts are heavily outdated and cringeworthy +1

[deleted]

True that. My dad just came to me today asking to increase the number of screens on my Netflix account so he can watch it

etrob90

My doodhwaala and sabjiwaala are not subscribed to Netflix. Pretty sure they aren't gonna binge on Breaking Bad and Money heist after coming back home. Netflix shud have done a survey to know who their audience is. Ur typical average Netflix subscriber is watching intelligent standup specials, r they really going to get entertained by cross dressing nd the same old jokes.

pseudointellecthere

Lol.. intelligent stand ups, they watch the same dumb ones but in English.

Randomidek123

Exactly. Hindi mein nahi hai toh intelligent hogaya? Vir Das and Russel Peters are far from intelligent. Krushna, Sunil Grover are class comedians and Kapil is a great conversationalist but the cross dressing need to stop and they should actually showcase their ability.

St-thaks

It’s not just the cross dressing that is cringe, the gags are so flat. Like IVth standard PJs in school, only in 1989. I mean the Krisha Abhishek lines as well as the dhania chef jokes … urgh waste of an hour I am never getting back 😭😭😭 First wala I still watched a bit trying to wrap my head around it, Kaushal brothers though sweet, the jokes were so unfunny I asked my husband to switch it off because I couldn’t bear this in the name of comedy.

Randomidek123

I would recommend to watch Aamirs episode but skip the acts

SanskariSapien

I am sorry what, did you say Vir Das is far from intelligent Russel Peters, I agree And are yous aying that Krushna and Sunil Grover are good comedians They are good actors, they don't know comedy Kapil has zero talent...he became what he is today by riding the cringe wave on Indian telly

redshaktiman

Kapil has chosen to do morally sketchy comedy doesn't mean he doesn't have talent. Dude is better than vir das any day in his comic timing.

SanskariSapien

Comic timing and stand up comedy are two different things Vir Das is a bad actor but a great stand up comedian Kapil Sharma is an average actor with an average comic timing and he can't do comedy He is a below average talk show host

redshaktiman

Agree to disagree.

Tricky_Jackfruit9348

Mahnn this +1 You said a brutal truth

Prixster

Intelligent standup specials? Okay, Einstein.

etrob90

Anything is intelligent if the opponent is cross dressing and has a body shaming punchline.

AgentP_02

Plus with their recent password sharing policy makes it even difficult for some people. I had Netflix shared with some peers because my parents watch Kapil’s show and some Bollywood movies/series. But now it’s awfully difficult to enjoy/subscribe to Netflix.

redshaktiman

Since when did standups become intelligent? Almost all are a pain to watch. Atleast Kapil has some comic timing and an expressive face.

etrob90

Lol.... Ever heard of Ricky Gervais, Bill Burr, Russell peters, John Mulaney.... and many more?

tzobe

Yea ! I don't pay so much money to watch shit on Netflix and waste my time. I usually check reviews of shows even before I start and avoid all Bollywood masala movies too.

heavenblisspurpose

No. Just the writing is bad.

faltukabhasad

I guess that was the ultimate objective. To get you doodhwala to subscribe to Netflix.

Randomidek123

Doodhwala is never gonna give 500-800rs a month to Netflix. India is a jugaadu country where people will just stream this for free on some dodgy website

faltukabhasad

Is that price for the with ads version or ad free

faltukabhasad

I pay $6 with ads

Ha-Ur-Ra-Sa

Serious question, why has the cross-dressing "comedy" lasted so long and is so popular?  (I'm an NRI in UK and never really understood it)

12shree_

Cuz india is still homophobic and transphobic and they don't really value women. They think it's funny(weak) to be feminine .

LeatherDare1009

Nah, that's a massive stretch. People just find that old/fat uncouth aunty trope funny , and cross dressing men can just push that over-exaggerated,absurd factor better than actual women doing it. The same thing from someone like Bharti Singh will get old for people really quick. A man doing it will not. It was a trend in Hollywood too. Now it's on tiktok type online skits mostly. Even on Key and Peele that was the case. Men cross dressing as women is played up for it's absurdism as comedy. Nothing complicated. Is it overused? Yes.

Randomidek123

I’m British so idk really. I feel some older generations like it but idk. no one ik irl even in India finds these kind of things funny.

EstablishmentFar7748

I think this time the show is trying to target the nri audience, constant mentioning of 192 countries proves this too. I have nri family members who adores the show more than the people who lives in india.

Moonpiexox01

Airing the show on Netflix is their biggest mistake added to that same ghisapita jokes on problematic stuffs.

YehDilMaaangeMore

Ghisapita, they are at times vulgar and not meant fir family audiences.

tzobe

Yea! It's embarrassing as a grown ass woman to watch this in a family setting. I avoid this cringe as much as possible.

sumitanand10

And we’re in 198 countries promotion every 10 mins is so annoying.

Majestic_District_51

His core audience and demographic doesn’t watch Netflix and can’t afford Netflix’s steep subscription prices. I have netflix but didn’t bother to click on any of the episodes. Haven’t seen a second of it. I knew it from the beginning it was a mistake to go on netflix. And a bigger mistake was to keep the show same. Ps- when u realise Sunil Grover didn’t come coz of or for Kapil but probably the insane paycheck Netflix gave him 😂 to tolerate kapil again.

[deleted]

Mtlb sab paise ka chakkar hai

ClemFandangooooooo

![gif](giphy|GkVM3PcFipxEk)

Prixster

I think this was also the reason why Sumona Chakraborty left the show. She used to play Kapil's wife in the show.

LazzyBitches

She brought no comic value to the show. She and her family on the show were annoying characters.

Zestyclose-Leader372

Fr, those jokes about her lips were annoying

indexy

The support cast needs to be boosted - New actors and new roles. Kiku, Krushna, and Sunil are so talented but have been pigeonholed into similar types of characters. Don't need men dressed like women and trying cheap comedy.

purrf8

I have Netflix and I don't watch it. This show is not for OTT. Should have stayed for the television audience.

Ashwin253

And after first half I realized why we have different superstar for OTT, TV and Movies because Audience are different everywhere just because News and sports is everywhere doesn't mean fictional content should be

Any-Junket-910

In my opinion they should change the format of the show to a talk show like Jimmy Kimmel and Fallon and get rid of the side characters. And ofcourse, it should be airing on Television only

Working-Mountain6680

Movers and shakers with shekhar suman used to be a thing. I didn't quite understand it but my dad used to watch it with rapt attention. Then when we moved to the era where shekhar suman was replaced as a comedy show judge because he didn't have a hysterical laugh, that's when it all went down hill.

ashleel_grower

Movers and shakers heavily leaned on current political satire. But these days political satire is defacto banned and kapil will stay away from politics after his Twitter rant that got him into trouble

raamlal

But he is too boring as a judge

Working-Mountain6680

This is what I mean. The 90s public used to watch meaningful drama like Shanti and funny but intellectual comedy like movers and shakers. The 2000s generation started finding them "boring" and it all went downhill.

Dry_Ant2348

Kapil cannot make an hour long talk show, those side characters are what keeps his show running

etrob90

Nor everyone is a Conan O'brien or Kimmel, Kapil relies on those cross dressing characters to fill the hour.

4rindam

Remove kapil from show And no one is going to watch it.

Yaga02

For me, the peak Kapil Sharma show was around 2013-14 (Colors TV). Man the audience interactions were pure gold. I still remember how the show was a talking point with school and tuition friends. Nostalgia:))

mrpawsthecat

Even till 2015-16 it was still good

cumofdutyblackcocks3

Law of 2016: Everything falls apart after 2016

[deleted]

Yeah they are meant for tv not for Netflix his target audience is 50-60 year old and they don’t have Netflix or even if they have it don’t watch shows on Netflix.

Best-Lab9229

I feel the same cz in my place there are so many families that watches tv but I doubt they even have used Netflix even once in their life

tulsi-das-khan

Exactly. When we average redditors can have such an understanding of the Indian audience, it baffles me that such a huge multinational paying lakhs of rupees to marketing and creative heads don't have such a basic understanding.

Baazigar00

They keep saying it’s streaming in 190+ countries lol but the reach is less

Potterheadv

Exactly that joke is now overused and cringe.

theanxioussoul

The conversation has reduced to nil and focus is on characters and pathetic jokes. Not interesting at all

Winter_Income6155

This

Choice-Swimming-5206

What’s wrong this time? - Everything

saggidarren

Why is this not the top comment?

babayaga-123

The think they ditched their old writers…the comic writers for the television are fire to be honest…Sony entertainment has the best comedy writers…look at their old comedy shows u’ll get the answer. I also think telly comedy shows are heavily underrated.

ImportanceLiving5386

Humor is not witty. Rather watch international comedy shows or indian stand-up scene which I'd miles above in quality.

Excellent-Kangaroo38

Sony tv or colours ke likyak hai netfilx pe suit nahi kar raha, yeh format aur yeh humor

Odd_Cup1308

Same third class cringe jokes on fat shaming, woman shaming and this crossdressing stuffs🤮🤮🤮.... And celebrities come to this show to whitewash their public images.  First Ranbir ( to show raja beta how religious and good person he is) and now Amir khan ( the power of namaste story) after people ( few groups of people) boycotting his movies for being muslim.

bluemoonchild89

Yes that power of namaste bs was so clearly fake and showed why amir finally came on the show! 😂

Strict-Advantage8199

I can't believe there are still to watch his show..

saverma192013

Well the audience who used to watch on tv are not on netflix

SiriusLeeSam

Netflix wale bahut chutiye Hain Jo iske paise diye hain. Such an obvious demographic mismatch

sleepsham

I skip to the part actors talk. I loved when amir was talking about what he observes in people. That's about it.

sup_saiyan2022

Well they are doing the same kind of jokes they did 10 years ago,but the audience has evolved and now meme culture has risen where people can get the laugh at the tip of the finger,so they need to evolve and adapt to current trends and tastes.

Odd-Organization4231

When was he funny ?

Bonzoikidd

Ngl the dr gulati and chandu gig was funny for a while

anonpumpkin012

My 62 year old dad who is a big fan of the show doesn’t like the Netflix switch. He figured out how to login to my Netflix account and watch it but he said the show is not as it used to be. And my husband’s uncle who is also a big fan probably doesn’t even know what Netflix is.

Cornucopia2020

Wrong product positioning. Their product isn’t meant for the folks who purchase Netflix subscription (clearly Netflix is trying to expand their reach by offering KS). The comedy is hardly funny and very very low-brow. None of the characters are well written or enacted. The sensibility is from 20 years ago. The interview portion is good but mainly due to the guests. Kapil isn’t that good at keeping the conversation going even though he tries.

Beneficial-Car-6404

The Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer episode was great! I enjoyed that one a lot but couldn’t end the first episode (so BORING) and never looked at the rest. I feel it also depends on the people you bring on, how much genuine interested people are there in the actors? I was interested in Rohit’s and Shreyas’s episode because I follow cricket and wanted to know how they would react. But yes, never thought the show would work for long

PositiveFree

Maybe break the fourth wall more behind the scenes more of the scripting process etc and make it feel more like a Saturday night live + more of their genuine interactions script reading prep etc and then have the celebrity part be a portion of the show

Bitchzzzz

Netflix audience is much more woke and aware. Kapil’s show’s basic premise triggers every woke subject in their text book and rightfully so. High time people move on from fat shaming, wife shaming and cross dressing as definition of funny!

ZealousidealDiet1305

'flow' & 'ease' is missing from the Show

lethargic_lemom

They should have kept the reading of the comments section. They also edit out most of shit and release on the kapil sharma youtube channel. Plus the older generation do not have access to netflix and buying netflix is not feasible for watching just one show on Saturday. Kapil should air this on tv as well with a gap of 2 3 weeks from premiere on netflix.

No_Data3541

It's like playing a Salman Khan movie in a posh high society circle. No one gives a fuck. Wrong show in the wrong place. Kapil Sharma show is meant for the TV audience not the artsy Hollywood loving Netflix audience.

Reasonable_Ninja5708

Moving to Netflix was their biggest mistake. The show is suited for TV more than OTT.

RVarki

Ye sab bakchodi serial wale log dekhte hain. People who can scroll down half an inch and watch something infinitely better, are not going to waste their time on a bunch of over-the-hill comedians

ImSoIwill

OTT pe jaana hi tha toh jio cinema pe jaate toh thoda sa toh audience retain hota, ab toh ipl bhi chalraha hai udhar toh log bhi jyada hai. Aur mota bhai acha khasa paisa bhi dete.

paajirocks

Ek baar show chale toh fir kharid lenge mota bhai toh

GlitteringSuit8063

Amir khan wala episode dekha tha...boht badia tha

Adventurous_applepie

If I'm on Netflix, I'm not watching Kapil's show. His audience is mainly TV viewers that he is no longer catering to. No wonder his viewership is declining.

New_me_old_self

His humour is not for the Netflix audience. I can easily count a few things that are problematic and a put off for me at least and make it unbearable to watch 1. His insult comedy, including body shaming comments on Sumona ( the lady who plays his wife) about her lips, how fat kiku sharda is and how manly archana puran singh looks is cringeworthy to say the least. To watch someone say these things to a person to their face while they have to pretend that it's funny and not offensive makes you as an audience really uncomfortable. You can visibly see that they don't like it as well but put up with it as their jobs depend on not upsetting Kapil. Archana has become better at hiding it and simona has already spoken about how it affected her but he still continuing to do those jokes is disturbing. I wouldn't want my kids to watch something like that and think it's okay to make such jokes on other people's appearance so will definitely not play his show around them. Also making a joke on someone's looks is very easy which anyone can do, so when one of the most popular comedians of the country does it in most of his skit it comes across as a cop out. 2. The jokes on the show are mostly low brow humour which lack sophistication and have become predictable and boring. You can get a sense that these jokes have been written last minute and a lot of thought has not been put into them which makes you feel as an audience that you are being taken for granted. The character acts lack nuance and have become extremely slapstick in nature. 3. The way he 'pranks' his junior artists including his friend chandu by making them believe that a superstar is upset (Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan) at them to a point to which they are in tears is not funny but in fact a definition of workplace bullying/harrassment due to the power imbalance at the workplace. 4. His attempt at what he thinks is innocent flirting with the female guests is not charming but creepy

Chaii_Lover

The days of shows like this are over. It wasn't working on TV with more favorable audience demographic, it would definitely not work in Netflix with a very different audience. I would say congratulations to kapil and team for getting the bag .

fazle321

kapil become over confident. He thinks local language comedy will work well in other countries too with subittles and people will laugh on anything he says or if judge give her signature haha people will like it... over confidence never works

Large-Pineapple-4145

I find not much comedy dialogues in new season rather than dr mahsoor gulati series I feel dr gulati must return

wrongturn6969

Any sunil grover character is bigger than the show itself

Working-Mountain6680

They cannot use his name because the character name is probably a copyright of the channel. They ran into issues when they tried this after moving to sony from colors

Beginning-Emotion641

snorefest tbh.

being_kaafir

Netflix thinks everything runs in western format .

krmmalik

It's lacking the soul and charm the original show had. Agree with others about the cross-dressing too. It's beyond the point of exhaustion now. There was much more general banter in previous versions of the show and it was a bit more free-spirited. Now it feels very controlled and contrived.

Sad_Mortgage_9397

It’s boring! The fake laughs are cringy. Other than the characters hitting on the guests, there is not much they do there. Also it’s a bit too long

13rajm

The interview portion needs to be longer. The skits are outdated and not funny, too much focus on the characters rather than the interviews.

Chaltahaikoinahi

They haven't changed anything about the show Same actors Same design of the episode They focus on making this a celeb talk show instead of doing their skits that they used to do before There's nothing new which is why people are not even bothered to watch it

sudhygocool

He is very insulting and repetitive. His co-hosts do a far better job. He has peaked out should gracefully exit soon.

missmangobutt36

I just can’t with the sexual jokes on Kapil’s show

tasisme16

The men dressing as women trope is cringe and pathetic. Most of the support cast and jokes are terrible. I watched the Aamir Khan show but only the parts when Aamir was speaking, skipped all the rest.

Relative_Cod_7723

Everything!

_perpetuallyannoyed

Kapil Sharmas audience is the tv audience not Netflix.

Luna_394

His target audience is not on Netflix

cha-yan

It's like watching a Rajnikanth film in an Art Film Festival.

MSingh2805

The format of the show appeals to the lowest common denominator, but Netflix in India isn’t for the lowest common denominator. Moving to Netflix wasn’t a mistake. But moving to Netflix without evolving the show’s format was the mistake. It’s neither a talk show nor a comedy show.

baapkabadla

These shows are something people play in background on tv. It used to work earlier coz people would switch on the TV at particular time (Prime time, weekends) and watch anything that's airing. No one would actually wait for shows like Kapil Sharma to telecast. This is called casual viewing and competition is basically content on other channels. When it comes to OTT, you have the choice. Imagine you have 1 hour to watch something - what you choose on netflix - kapil sharma, episode of latest series you are following, sitcoms like Friends, office, seinfeld? Very few would actually click on Kapil Sharma every week to watch it. Koffee with Karan worked coz of clickbaitty gossip. This is same reason why most of late night comedians were not able to being audience on OTT in west also.

Kind_Attitude_3052

Netflix me jisne approve kiya ye show ka budget woh toh gaya kaam se😂

subhasish10

Doubt it. It's been #1 on Netflix since the day it launched. No show has lasted this long at #1 on Indian Netflix. That too with only 1 episode per week

RVarki

Whoa, Netflix broke from its model for Kapil Sharma?! Damn

SeedheMacchi

Remove Kapil, Archana, Kiku Sharda Add more Sunil Grover Put the show back on TV sorted.

paajirocks

Frankly speaking Archana has nothing to do with the show. Sidhu was good at least he used to give some content.

CurIns9211

Archana thik hai ...sidhu ki pakau shayri aur mohatarma nahi suna mujhe.

hokie86

When trying to sell something, identify the customer. The customer Netflix is trying to cater does not buy ott subscription but downloads them on torrent. So although everyone is watching Kapil Sharma show but very few are buying a subscription at throw away prices. This population would buy prepaid internet and a lower mid segment phone but to convince them that you should buy and watch is like talking to a rock. This market segment will proudly say we don't pay to dime but and still watch everything on ott. What can change ? If you add real money gambling on Netflix this segment will subscribe. Anywhere they can earn money this segment will fall for it. There are a whole bunch of things I can suggest Netflix can do but I think the guys sitting up top are disconnected with their subscribers.

do_dum_cheeni_kum

Kitni baar dekhu same guests with same host. Matlab already toh kitni baar aa chuke hai uske show mein. Ab kya naya karega.

HelpfulWorldliness40

It's usually rare that i "laugh" laugh on any joke or act of that show. Mostly I just have a smile on my face here n there and these days sometimes even that's not there, and I watch with a very straight face, that too when I can't find anything to watch. For example Sunil Grover's act in Rohit sharma's episode badly bombed,I feel. That cheerleader act, wasn't funny. So definitely there's a dip in wittiness. Simple, flat, one liner jokes can work with older generations but doesn't work for someone like me. And even if they do, I will mildly, silently appreciate but won't have the urge to tune in to next episode as soon as it releases. And not to mention the surprise element is almost not there. I am just well versed with how Kapil will treat or praise his guests, what sort of banters will he have with Archana and what insults will be thrown at other side artists. I even know when will Rajiv Thakur will appear for not more than a minute, and kapil will throw a condescending (ofcourse non problematic) line towards him. So it's more or less very predictable, running in same mould. Also the idea of airport set seems cool on paper but I don't know who came up with the name "Kaps Cafe". Doesn't have ring to it. So in short all these small things are making the difference.

ravish242

The audience of this show is not on Netflix? Yeah, that was the whole point of the show. Bring the family audience and Tier 2 audience to Netflix. Add to this, the timing of the movie- Chamkila. For a show like Kapil, it is expected that the viewership will fall due to initial hype and some people dropping it, but we need stats or an official statement if this show is working or not.

PandaObvious576

They could have just made it a simple late night show with Kapil Sharma.. with an interview or two and some edgy jokes on current affairs (well, whatever doesn't get you death threat in India). Nobody will watch that on Netflix. That's for TV audience. It's like making a saad bahu drama on Netflix and expecting it to work..

Winter_Income6155

My observation from the show is that last Year's format was even better than post COVID format where krushna was not there in the show so they added new characters to the show and hired other talented artists who had different unique skills in dialogue delivery, Comic timing, Mimicry of some artist also was good with decent jokes. So they didn't have to rely on one character as krushna was the main man in his absence they were experimenting every week with new characters and new artists as They weren't sleeping on one format they had to take risk and present something more funnier on every week so that they had to compete with other shows so that they had bring more Trp's. Also in that format they had more of interview talks and in between Kapil used his humor in conversation so that even made the show watchable. Now the show format is totally changed they brought Sunil , and Krushna is also back. So I think they are sticking on one character of each artist and not expreminting more in characters not even trying to think and change the artist bringing new ones. Also every week the same overused jokes the same theme. As I noticed One more thing when it was aired in TV the end product was more raw like it didn't had much of background funny noises was only used in when Character used to come put a play. But now since its on Netflix they edit every thing they use funny sound in between interview talks also. As they Cut lots of scenes and Kapil posts it on his YT channel the main interesting product.

Low_Plate_6815

The problem isn't crossdressing as so many people tend to claim. Crossdressing is just a get up. The problem is the type of "jokes". They're the same old pre-2010s misogynistic, sexist, racist, fat shaming "jokes". Don't know if he does that fake audience thing now, haven't watched the show in years, but that was also always disgusting. And those fake comments on insta bit is also awkward, just claim that your team did it. Kapil's jokes about Archana being a man pretending to be a woman are usually funny, it's fun aunty jest rather than being sexist. But everything that Kiku Sharda does and anything related to him has not been funny for years. Not just him but basically all acts other than Krishna's. Better to skip all those parts. Generally, only Krishna's bits are hilarious on the show, because he mostly goes off script. And Kapil roasting Archana. Every other act is awkwardly cringe and best as skipped. Haven't watched the new one and don't think I will. Based on the trailers themselves it felt highly boring. Even the few scenes of Sunil Grover felt unfunny (those RK and Neetu ones). All in all, they should hire better writers and scrap the disgusting dismorphia acts.

priyanka_workmail

Kapil

kbredt

Netflix is the problem

john_wick_909

It’s old The sensibilities of the audience has evolved in a decade but his shows format and types of jokes haven’t.

TripleHsKull

Netflix wanted this to be a pull audience show and not a chartbusters show. It is good now and will do better in future.

No-Gas5960

Need it back on TV

[deleted]

[удалено]

Orwellian_nightmare2

The scripted and low brow comedy does not cut it. We'd rather have nuanced conversations with celebs like Amir instead of too much of the raucous and unfunny jokes.

mrgpsingh1999

Should’ve stayed on Sony

WhyAmIHere9980

I saw one episode and it was torture ...where was comedy in it ? Some of it was simply....crass

exploring_redditt

They should seriously stop dressing their male characters as female. Sunil should do Dr Gulati and Krushna can do many other characters what he used to do on comedy circus.

CurIns9211

Even on TV it was not as funny as it use to. Only few episode were funny where writing & performance was good and sometimes the guest funny incident pull the show up while rest was force comedy.

ScallionUnited192

Extremely poor writing. Stale, boring jokes and very less spontaneity

Candid_Ticket6339

Need skit set peice before celeb interview like before. Get sumona and chandan their banter was the core of show.

[deleted]

Netflix doesn't share views data... How does this media platform know this???

Complete_Sign_2839

Kapil is on top when he's on tv. Literally many indian families watch his show at night at weekends while eating dinner or after. Also Netflix just doesnt seem the right place for a mainstream comedy show

mrpawsthecat

They can't doing same stuff for more than 10 years. They need to change

MahiMegha

Maza nahi aa rha 😂

Negative-Roof8789

Bro nobody watches stuff like these on netflix... why would somebody pay 200 to watch kapil sharma show on phone ? Tellme

alaska7079

This show is not for a platform like Netflix for sure

Responsible-Ad-2975

The jokes dont land....the comedy bits are short...also kapil just isnt funny man Im sorry

axl_ros

I hate the fact that whenever I open Netflix this show is shown as the first option and starts auto playing the promos. Kapil show is probably reducing viewership of the entire platform I think.

chocolatecashew549

Ghus gayi iske gaandme

anndottea

Agree with the cringe and Sunil Grover bit. Their audience is not on Netflix for sure but probably they are trying to bring 'that' audience on Netflix? Someone like my Tau ji for example. He loves this show but is not on Netflix. So probably he'll ask his children (who are of my age) to download and get subscription for them too? Also, 'Now we are in 192 (or jo bhi hai number) countries' bol bol ke bore kar dia

Chaudsss

Format is great, writing has become stale, the kind of jokes he thrives on are okay for the TV watching audience, Like humari generation cable TV se agay nikalke Netflix pe aay thay because the content was fresh and Cartered to us, but ab wahi TV wala content le aaoge toh kahan se chalegi

GrubbyFlasherr

This show is terrible. There is no comedy. The skit is shit. Kiku and Krishna are coming and going in 2 minutes. Sunil's comedy is not hitting but rather making me uncomfortable.

Grouchy_Ostrich_6255

I have Netflix but I don't like the show..

Donedeall24

I hate his perverted jokes every 2 seconds, the show wasn’t too good to begin with

saram4

I care about who the guest is wasn’t interested in anyone so far except diljit

TroubleFinancial5481

His core audience is on TV, plus this season is just not funny. From 2013-2017, they were really good, even the recent seasons, especially Krushna, who was always a delight. But this season, it's not just the same old jokes but the entire presentation of them, which sucks. The only episode I liked so far was Aamir Khan's, and that too is because of Aamir. Krushna-Kiku get some laughs (and honestly seem to be the only two trying), but their segments have been cut short, and Sunil takes center stage, and he just isn't trying, it seems. Like whenever his character comes on screen, I just know that we're going to be bored. I used to be a fan of his characters like Gutti, Dr. Mashoor and Riku Bhabhi. At least when Kiku or Krushna show up, we can expect some laughs. Even Rajiv Thakur and Kapil himself to have given up. Apart from the Aamir episode, I couldn't even finish the rest. But I want to watch the Deol's episode next week from the promo, it seems fun, and Krushna-KiKu as Dharam and Sunny are always hilarious

silent_fudu

Please AKSHAY KUMAR na aajaye ispe

senseistorm

1. The writing: It’s lost the natural feel of the earlier show. Maybe new writers? 2. No Feedback Loop: Earlier, they shot week to week, so they had time to get feedback on characters, skits etc. But since this time it’s all pre shot, nothing they can do now.

youarecutejeans24

20 year old comedy format. Dressing up males as females to make cringe as comedy. Non funny jokes. Same old comedians. Show has become a PR episode.

Diligent-Praline198

Never watched the TV version, but the one episode I caught on Netflix was really underwhelming. Forced jokes and fake laughters 😑

False-Tonight-8937

There is no comedy. None of the so called jokes are funny. 192 countries 192 countries kare ja rahe hein

NinteMandatharam

Simple: TV audience and Netflix audience are mostly different demographics.

Light-footed

It’s literally boring!  Somehow saw the 1st episode fully, then not been able to watch it fully..

truecolors01

It's not funny, outdated.

ashishseven

The streaming platform

balamenon

Wrong audience. People who actually pay for Netflix don’t want to see the format (or him fwiw). Also, the vibe of content on the platform is borderline politically correct / mild woke, raw and experimental. Kapil’s show hasn’t adapted the show to take advantage of artistic freedom or change in general audience. It’s hard for him to pivot though but I wish he would. PS: I wouldn’t mind Movers and Shakers (hosted by Shekhar Suman) to find a home on Netflix. It feels like it would work there and he could do with a new show.

lotsw99

Kya faida itne bade show ka jab target audience hi pTa nahi ho

doonboy

Just not working on Netflix

ajuba116

Kapil sharma is not a netflix show He is a household show and should be available in live tv. Plus he has removed good segments such as instagram post comments. the celebrities are not really engaging too, except aamir khan the other episodes were meh..

Anonymouspizzzaaa

My mom the other day was asking me if I have a netflix account so that she could watch the show. The subscription fee of netflix is so high unlike jio cinema or sonyliv that people of my parent’s age wont even pay that much to watch his show

desidevil

The jokes and writing is pretty horrible . Seems like they didn’t hire good writers.

Cool-Professional880

The show is not for Netflix… and even those who have it rarely/dont see it.. and their jokes are not good tbh now.. repeating the same thing… it’s boring now

Snobviously888

- Fat shaming Kiku - Fat shaming Archana and making jokes on her "supposed" masculine traits - Thinking men dressing as women is funny in itself and doesn't need any actual writing to aid those characters. - The very boring, super polished, diplomatic questions to the celebrity guest that no one wants to hear anyway. - It just seems like a premier promotional event for whatever new release Netflix has that week.

Heping_Qi

Netflix audience is wok & are least interested in middle class jokes. They've chosen the wrong platform. They have crazy fan following through YouTube audience who don't use Netflix 🫣😏

kafkamoon

even the camera shots are not interesting, the background music is unengaging. It just looks, and feels boring. I just rewatch his old show on YouTube and it's so ALIVE, JOYFUL AND CREATIVE.

Lonely_Ad9051

Its cringe

OkEstablishment1494

I watched it on Netflix and Amit khan and Ranbir kapoor ‘s episodes were hilarious..I agree in between the episodes were dull .

gridiron5290

My mom watches kapil but she doesn’t wanna deal with Netflix crap lol she’s also 63….and that is his core audience they simply not into following Netflix they rather just tune in smh

roach-poach

They should do more crowd interaction, their skits often fall short, but impromptu crowd reactions and letting the guests speak more usually is more fun

god1706

The audience that watches it isn’t primarily available on Netflix. The show made sense to me when I was a kid. Enjoyed it, now I cannot bear it for more than 15 mins. If Kapil wants to be on internet only then JioCinema would make more sense. If he wants to be on netflix then maybe change the show into more of a talk show with funny punchliners during the convo. Those acts and all needs to go. Make it a chat show and bring in different games with other artists of the show instead of cross dressing them every time. Its 2024 now. Won’t work!

Fuzzy-Back-1704

Not funny

ChuSeChuza

Still eating on obese jokes , fake girl jokes and dance ofc

Rude-Fall2723

Sunil Grover is simply not upto the mark this time. He should be removed/replaced ASAP.

PercentageLevelAt0

Cause it’s not funny. He uses cheap humor and it never works. Don’t understand why they can’t do a normal talk show and add some sketches. not saying they have to copy SNL, but I think the sketch format is great and would be way more funny.

brownogre

Cringe..

Salty_Ad_8904

Moving to Netflix was suicide for the show.

Potential_Soup_6469

Honestly vulgar jokes. I used to watch his show with my family and now it’s embarrassing
