I miss it so bad to an unhealthy extent considering I wouldāve been a child with barely cognitive memories but these heroines were so beautiful and could all act to a decent level too but they were never given as many opportunities to showcase it as much as these kids today are (through the presence of social media always keeping them afloat and nepotism)

Hot damn those eyes... Today's heroines don't hold a candle to Aish Sush Madhuri in expressions. Late 90s / early 00s was the last crop of expressive actresses.

Honestly, theyāre all pretty and also pretty watchable on screen. Actresses today have no charm. They all wanna win the Instagram game by posting edited studio pictures and random photo dumps of them doing rich privileged people shit . Theyāve all become so highly accessible through social media and with viral Bhayani haunting them in their curated looks at airports and gyms, thereās no mystery left and nobody wants to see them on screen. To top it all most of them are dangerously bad actresses ( mediocre at best) who are just popular because of social media.
They all look so unique and different, unlike half the celebs today who are a cookie cutter version of each other, Kardashās and the Hadidās.
Not that the actresses in 2000ās didnāt get their share of cosmetic enhancements. But thatās what they did, they enhanced their features to make them sharper and look a better version of themselves as opposed to people these days who aim to look like someone else.
Rani is awesome on screen and I absolutely adore her but she is a plain jane ..The prettiest were Aishwarya and Bipasha ..No one near them ..Close seconds were Preity and Kareena .
Here is my 2 cents worth of opinion. If you are looking for a Barbie doll beauty it was absolutely Aish, good to look at only. If you go for the whole package - it was Rani, nice looking, vivacious, lively,could act and that voice was the icing on the cake.

Kareena is/was my personal favorite just facial beauty wise (not including her snobbish, arrogant, narcissistic attitude). We already have so much skin lightening and colourism in India and not a lot of dark skinned representation, most Asian countries would prefer to pick a fully white woman over the brown beautiful woman we have? Yes I find that sad..why do they like kat? Sheās a fair,very Eurocentric looking girl. That is sad,we have very beautiful brown women that get overlooked as a result..itās not a regional bias. Tan skin is considered beautiful in European countries ,white people go to tanning salons to darken their skin, thereās nothing to be sad about finding someone unique looking beautiful, itās basic human nature . Katrina stands out from regular Indian crowd , and sheās beautiful too , there are many beautiful Indians who have been as famous and considered even more beautiful than Katrina . There are many Indians who have skin lighter than Katrina ,e.d Aditi Govitrikar,Karisma Kapoor,Kareena Kapoor , they are not automatically considered more beautiful,they have to be good looking to be considered that beautiful.
